This is one of the masterpeace Rabindranath Tagore's philosophy of peace, tranquillity, love, beauty, hope. His creation and nature is as relevant today, as it was in the past, and will remain so ever after. Tagore lives in his songs. particularly this song contain some hidden universal certainty --- we have to leavedepart.disappear
The artiste's rendition of this song from Prem is good. But, as Nafisa has excerpted, meaning behind the lyrics, i.e. nostalgia, isn't conveyed. The video clips are out of sequence. Opening shots with Howrah Bridge, boat ride, and rickshaw-walla; followed by, decaying legacy of British Raj: decrepit edifices, trams, empty bandstand in front of VM; and finally, today's contra-perspective with Vidyasagar Setu, and Birla Mandir... would've been more appropriate. PLEASE, less shots of the artiste!
very good, beautiful

Very well sung, Madhumita. Creative and intelligent. Hope to hear more of this, on the scenic route to another city perhaps.
