Perry has been in bed with Washington throughout his entire career as a political puppet. Some folks just have no idea what's in their own best interest! My mother's from Texas and told me that they most likely wouldn't vote for Medina. Perry is a slicker in a suit. It really sucks that only one person on that stage is honest. It is so hard for Texans to tell the difference between the liars and Debra Medina. When one side is always mixing lies with truth... they can hide behind the part that is the truth and claim they were always telling the truth. I'm canadian and im just watching this video out of curiosity but ive noticed that medina is knowledgable and perry and hutchinson are the typical cliche politicians...especially perry, he looks like he's acting, when he asks medina her stance on legalizing drugs, it made me laugh to see him try to get a reaction from the viewers...hutchinson seems misinformed...neither of the 2 i would vote for, they both seem phony. Medina seems ok but then again there politicians so who knows

The drug thing is wack! I like Medina's positions on life and property, but she goes out into the most radical far left position when she promotes illegal drugs as a personal right. Her reasoning that she went with a police officer at night & 90% of his crimes are drug related, does not make a good case for benefit of increasing drug use through legalization. If drugs cause flood the minds to do awful crimes, we should protect young & others from becoming addicted. That's how UK enslaved China!

Before someone says that I am just making a ploy for pot smoking, definitely not. We used to teach our kids what was good and not good. Think of the Indians as an example. A mother/father would take the kids into the field and explain what was good and what it was good for, and what not to eat or drink or even touch. If you should eat or consume something you shouldn't, well you were warned. It wasn't illegal, just unwise or even deadly. Manufactured drugs are different and should be regulated.

If a man passes on his wealth, even if it is very little, it helps his sons get a little bit ahead in life, assuming they take well advantage of the help. The rich wanted to remove that help and reserve it unto themselves only. Remember that it has been the very rich that have been writing and controlling the laws since the late 1800s. And it has been during this time period that the regular man has lost his say, his wealth, his property, his rights.

Property taxes are like inheritance taxes in that they hurt the poor. Inheritance taxes were devised by the very rich in order to make sure regular people would never rise to the level to compete with them. These taxes make sure to start every man back to square one except the very rich who always have some loophole they squeeze through to in order to keep their family money to pass on to their kids. Without these taxes the playing field would be more level and many less supper rich families.

To Dean0000007 & those like him, you just don't understand the current system. Property taxes make it so no one actually owns their property, you must pay for the privilege indefinitely to gov't. Medina understands this issue and how important it is to make it like it once was so very long ago where a person could own their property. Once it is paid for the gov't could not come and take it from you for unpaid taxes that might not amount to 1/20 of the value. This is a true help to the poor.

The banks didnt make up derivatives, Paul Volcker of the CLINTON white house did and made sure that you didnt have to report how many there were. Yes, derivatives popped the housing bubble, but the banks didnt make 'em up. Medina knows what she's talkin about, if you remove the property tax, rent and house prices will go down across the board, that helps everyone. As long as a property tax is in place, you cant ever actually own your house or land. Do some research and use your brain.

Volcker was the Fed chairman during Carter and Reagan,Followed by Allan Greenspan.He rose interest rates in 1981 to 20%.So no he wasn't part of the Clinton years.And during Clinton's term in Office there was a Republican congress.Clinton was actually more conservative then Bush was.And Volcker was the one who wanted more regulation on banks,similar to the Glass-Steagall act would made it ok for banks to use deposits like casino chips.

If it were up to REAL Texans that were AWAKE - I'd like to include myself in that group, thank you very much - we WOULD vote her in by a majority. Having said that, I am realistic enough to know how the game is played, and the powers that be - and the money behind them - will do everything theyh can to keep the status quo.
