The best video game based on Ghostbusters II is New Ghostbusters II which was only sold in Europe and Japan, This version with some minor changes was also used to create the Ghostbusters II Gameboy game in 1990.
As the proud owner of the Gameboy game, I must say out of all the older GB related games I played it is my favorite. Check it out some time if your interested.
this was my FAVORITE game as a kid! I NEED to find this! Anyone know how to get a copy of it? I found one to download but it had compatibility issues. Please if anyone knows, help me!
coool! How do I get it? DId you download it from a website I can go to? I got my current version on DOSBox but it only works through the courthouse then freezes
my older brother had a copy and he gave it to me when i was 6 so ya i played it and finished the game like when i was 7 or 8 and it has been in its case for 4 years and i dont want it any more
How the heck do you break into parkview? I'm using a mouse and I can't get the character to do anything except go straight up and down the middle row of windows. He won't go left or right.
move the mouse to the left or right and hold down the left button to jump in that direction.
You will know which room your friend is behind because he wont open the window. So wait at each set of windows and if the orderlies open the other windows and that one window is still not open, thats where your friend is.
Dont take too long or else a orderly will open the mesh window infront of you to grab you.
Also, to get good slime tests, make one successfull slime collection, and as long as all your ghostbusters are present, instead of testing the slime go on a mission, Egon will remain behind to test the slime, complete the ghostbusting mission and Egon wont ruin the sample, but if you lose a mission, the sample is lost.
you NEED all 5 positive slime samples to make the statue level go well...and for the great dragons sakes! dont step on any cars!!!!
I'm fixing to review this game whenever I get the time. This game still kicks my ass on the statue level, has ANYONE at all beaten this yet? Because I don't think it's even possible.
I have completed this game. In the final level, if you arrive before midnight, you get a chance to shoot vigo while he's strutting around outside his painting to weaken him. Once the timer expires, he returns to his painting and attacks you. Janos will arrive and run around. Dont shoot him or shoot vigo while he's infront of the painting or else your proton beam will reflect back at you. Once you weaken Vigo even more, Janos will pass out and.....
....Vigo will come out of his painting again as a hiant head, shooting fireballs at you, you now have the slime blaster so give him a good soaking!
Once you defeat him again, you win the game! the painting turns to one of Slimer with a halo holding a baby on a cloud while the new years eve music plays (what's it called again?). Then the screen changes to outside the museum where the ghostbusters dance for the people who cheer them on, Slimer and stay puft also show up to celebrate!
I remember playin this on my cousins pc. The audio never really worked properly, and it was damn f'in hard. I could never ever bust anyone out of the nuthouse.
I remember this game, lol , it was sooo hard but I have beat it many of times. You have to have the original game manual to be able to use the map inside, this helps you know where the library is and direct the statue of liberty!
As everyone, I managed to go the statue level, where you have to go with the liberty statue and the NES pad to the castle, but there's not enough time, and I can't find the right street to go... Is there a map, or a faq somewhere?? Thanks!!
This game is considered abandonware, you can download it legally, then run it under moslow or dos box (utilities for retarding your operative system) and have a good time, man!
I had it too. My father bought it for me, for the 486 I believe, and I'm pretty sure I've still got the 5 1/2" disks around somewhere. I had the manuals and boxes too, but I can't remember where they are.
I only ever managed to get to the statue of liberty stage. The game was extremely difficult.
Great game! i have on my Amstrad PC 1512

I have the map!
I'll explain it for you.
it's a 7 by 7 grid
on the left side downwards the streets are: wood, mill, high, polk, park, moss, oak, bell
on the top across from left to right
41st, 42nd, 43rd, 44th, 45th, 46th, 47th, 48th
The museum is located on 45th street between polk and park.
I hope this helps you.
