That same problem happened to me. Try taking off the battery, plug in ac charger, and turn it on. If that doesn't work then try it without memory stick. if it works tell me and i might help you out from there
buy a new battery but make sure it is like the same as the original because there are some batteries that weren't made by sony but still work on a psp. For the memory stick by a memory card reader for like $10 to make a magic Memory stick or use the one you already have if you have it. theres i program i have that makes you a magic memory stick in 5 minutes but i'm not sure how to give it to you if you want it. I hope i'm helping.
i downgraded my psp from 3.95 to 3.80 M33-5 it worked and i started to download gunnar hero and psp arnookies psptube then i turned my psp off and turned it back on and it didnt boot or do anything i cant acess anything but the memory card and yes i pandorized my slim battery correctly i hjave a psp phat but no other battery for it help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
maybe a charger cuz if pand ur battery like i didi it wont turn on but if u turn it on with a charger and no battery or get a new one but it doesnt sound like a brick just the battery

you're not support to turn it off when upgrading firmware was this a illegitimate upgrade from sony or a hack and is your psp modded if it was from sony call em up and see if they'll send you another unit
Buy pandora battery off eBay or use a friend's custom PSP to make your own Pandora. Only way out of this loop of "downloading fw" and "adjusting files" is a Pandora.

ive used the pandoras battery and that magic memory card but when i press x
it did that whole list thingy
then when it came down to puttin the psp on it was the same as before then i ttied O triangle square still nothing
