By the fireplace? yeah if i want to die in the middle of the night. It begins breakdown at approximately 240 °C (464 °F), a temperature which can be reached if the material is cut with a power saw rather than a shearing-type tool.[25] Decomposition can produce isocyanates, carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, and hydrogen cyanide. Firefighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus in enclosed areas -Wiki-
Looks like plastic too! If you would have spent a few more bucks you could have gotten the real thing! checking out Youtube would have given you better install instructions ie; base board removal!
Stone veneer is valuable like a band-aid is. It won't fix your problems, but it'll try.
Once, I was standing on the patio of a hotel room and I leaned against (what I thought was) a stucco arch, and it felt like I would fall through. It wasn't any kind of stone. It was literally plastic covered in stucco.
That's just trashable architecture. Who's gonna care about that in the future?
Hrm, my dad was looking for this exact type of thing for one of our kitchen walls. He wanted a brick look, but didn't want to use real bricks and didn't want to use the cheap panelling that looks like brick. This stuff looks realistic, easy to work with (lightweight) and cost efficient.
$67.86 per panel of poly-crap-onate? Stone faux is much better.

Sorry, even an amateur would spot the cheap-looking caulk line. Caulk is the duct tape of sloppy DIYs.
