I feel bad for the ones that say black is ugly because you are missing out on the oppurtunity to know some of the best people ever. The ones that are ignorant, will pay for it one day. I'd argue that it is largely a social or cultural concept. No group of women or men are naturally masculine or muscle bound. And attraction is very much so defined by what society tells people to aspire to. These issues seem to only be prevelant in countries that have had strong racial relations issues in the past.

The truth is black is a symbol of strength and masculinity, qualities preferred for men but not so much for females. Black females tend to be a little more dominate, not in a bad way. Black men r usually most attractive if they hav a nice body, white teeth & nice bone structure, bit of colour looks healthy - thats all. I don't c big noses & big lips as particulary attractive on men (but big lips r seen as attractive on women). Part has to do with non black people's notions of masculinity vs femininity. Non blacks: white, Asian, etc., turn dark in the sun. In earlier times, darker skin meant u did hard labor jobs in the fields as low class citizens. Hard labor can be considered manly but not feminine. Women were supposed 2 B indoors maintaining the house, which meant less sunlight & lighter skin. For Africans, that does not apply, since for the most part our ancestors were all dark skinned.
