  • I am going with the timing chain or tensioner on this one

  • does that noise go away when you drive cause mine makes a similar noise but only when i am stopped

  • fuck a sohc v8 get a dohc interceptor and mod it..

  • @187BRYNO the interceptors came with a sohc V8. the mach 1's, cobras, mark VIII's and marauders came with the dohc V8.

  • light that piece of shit ford on fire and do the world a favor...... thank you

  • @86godsmack He only burns piece of shit Chevy's on fire. sorry.

  • its not worth it

  • thats the same noise my 97 f150 makes! it made it once and went completely away now its back and getting better again! if it was a rod bearing it would get worse so you option is drive it till it blows or goes away but with bad oil pressure you will kill it!

  • @bbzzrrzz my 97 f-150 done that for about 3 years until 1 day my harmonic balancer pully fell off.Turns out the pully was cracked around the bolts which finally sheared off.New harmonic balancer and pully was almost $450.00 because it was a dealer part because it has the 4.2 v-6.the v-8 models are available at most part stores at a much cheaper price.

  • deff a bering might cost u!

    idk if its worth it

  • sonds like the timing parts, my f150 4.6 used to make that noise, the problem was the left timing chain guideand the tensioner

  • timing chains and tensioners check em

  • my 01 gt sounded just like that and i spun the bearing in the # 1 cylinder..when it actually brok fried the piston , block ,and the crank.....

  • You need a new engine buddy, sounds like your rod bearing is loose. Either that or you just might have a loosened piston knocking. If that's the case, your engine block is damaged. Either case you might need a new engine.

    Good luck.

  • that old piece of shit is in need of a new 4.6L sohc V8 buddy

  • Doesn't sound much like low oil pressure to me. It sounds more like a rod bearing.

I'm no expert. Just going by sounds I have come to know.

    Good luck with your fix.

  • It spun a rod bearing :(
