Don't put words in my mouth. I never said there was anything hateful about NOI. The Southern Poverty Law Center lists NOI as a Hate Group. That's different. Do you deny that Minister Farrakhan preaches a message of scorn toward the Jewish people? Do you deny this is seen as hateful by others? You can argue that either the message is somehow distorted or that others only hear what they wish to hear, but you cannot say the controversy does not exist.

Wow, thanks. I grew up on the south side. It's not as scary as people imagine. Decent people live there. The Nation of Islam under Farrakhan isn't main stream Islam. In fact, Farrakhan talks more about the Bible then he does about the Qur'an. It's really a personality cult that mixes Christian and Muslim themes at will, along with UFO and pseudo African folklore. They aren't half as scary as Gri-gri and Santaria practitioners.

Farrakhan's followers are being deceived about the nature of Dianetics. They have been told that it's a self-help book like Dale Carnege "How To Make Friends..." Also, they have traditionally have a distrust for pale devils like me. This was the first time anyone has approached NOI at their headquarters on the subject of Co$. I chose not to be confrontational at this point.

He was carrying a load of books, someone said they were the basic course in Diantetics. This guy was either studying to be an auditor, or was picking up the course for another. I greeted him by his car, then I asked him outright, "Are you a Muslim or a Scientologist?" He was stunned by the question. I can't imagine why.

@yuriythebest That's OK. As an atheist you may not be aware of Scientology gaining control of Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam. The informational picket was not against Islam of Farrakhan's cult itself (which is not main-stream Islam, by the way). Farrakhan has instructed his followers to study L.Ron Hubbard's Dianetics. He has also claimed to have graduated over 700 "auditors".
