This could be wrong but I'll try it... The black haired girl likes the guy but the guy and the brunette girl (played by Younha) like each other. Then somehow the brunette girl died, which is why she's a shadow and appears everywhere. The black haired girl and the guy are at the house again, gloomily singing happy birthday to the brunette girl. The guy runs out of the house, screaming to the lake/ocean because he's so sad. Then the brunette girl whispers to the black haired girl to comfort him.
