I believe that civilians driven out by Russian troops from Abkhazia and Ckhinvali region should return to their homes. This is a decade long conflict with roots in Russia's imperialistic policies in Caucasus. There are hundreds of thousands of refugees that represent majority of the population of these regions and they should participate in making decisions in these provinces without intervening from Moscow's military backed corrupted marionettes.

No. The biggest mistake in Georgian history. If the Soviet Union was a man than Georgia was it's left hand's middle finger. Since 1991 it's been reduced to the bone of that finger and the war of 2008 mutilated half of it. And the nation continues to decay. Though small, Abhazia and South Ossettia make slow reprieve under Russian rule, Georgia simply cant accept that a hand can not function without all it's fingers and a man can not function without his hand. First of all it was the Bolsheviks that conquered you, not the Russians, secondly Georgia ceded itself into the Russian Empire WAY back in the 18th century, and betrayed it as soon as the unstable times came, wheras men from all over the empire died in Azerbaijan to defend Georgians. Ossetya is not free, Dagestan is not free, Karachay-cherkesya is not free, Kabardino-Balkarya is not free, SOCHI IS NOT FREE! i say that Abkhazia and s. Ossetya are MORE free than before. Ossetia and Abkhazians live in russia, they would protest violently, also this was happening in their backyard and the caucasus would all join up against georgia therfore they would join up against russia. I wish they all did and they will one day breakaway from georgia AND russia.

I believe that civilians driven out by Russian troops from Abkhazia and Ckhinvali region should return to their homes. This is a decade long conflict with roots in Russia's imperialistic policies in Caucasus. There are hundreds of thousands of refugees that represent majority of the population of these regions and they should participate in making decisions in these provinces without intervening from Moscow's military backed corrupted marionettes.

Wrong. The Ossetians attacked a Georgian enclave on August 1. Georgians in South Ossetia were attacked from August 1 to 6. Only on August 7 did Georgia defend its citizens on its territory. The next day, Russia invaded Georgia. Georgia has never attacked Russia.
Nobody believes Putin when he speaks of thousands dead in South Ossetia. Where are the bodies? In Bosnia, you can see the mass graves where the Serbs (friends of Russia) murdered Bosnians.

All news stations are biased, but Russia today has eyewitness accounts from georgians and ossetians and americans and anyone who was there and saw georgian war crimes.
