  • Daw Aung San Suu Kyi verified the correct number of currently held political prisoners as 591 (as of 16 December 2011). Daw Aung San Suu Kyi said that NLD is making sure everything possible they can to get the nearest correct numbers of political prisoners who are currently held in Burma. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi again re-affirmed that in the AAPP list of political prisoners there are still people names who were already been released.

  • @HJOWLH:Burma has precious diamonds remember?

  • dude Afghanistan has gold and diamonds, Iraq has Oil what Burma has to be stolen so we can ask US to send their military.

  • ဒီစစ္အစိုးရ နိုငိတုန္းကန္ပါအံုး ခံမယ့္တစ္ေန႔က်ရင္ အရိုးပါကိုက္စားမယ္။

  • good

  • I work with 3 guys from Burma and they never talk about their country's situation, they are all chill like nothing never happened until I saw this video and realized these guys have a strong will even after leaving their families behind just so they could come to America and have a better life to support their families from a very far away place makes me respect them more than before, I can only hope this pointless killing stops and the people can go back and live in peace.

  • If anyone deserves a decent govenment, it's the beautiful people of Burma...

  • FUCKK BURMAA!!!

  • @southsideloks13 fuck you bitch i went there and you no have no idea how most those people suffer. as a matter im pretty sure you never got out of your country

  • They said to national unity, but they do is angry.Help our country.Stop the wars.

  • I live by the border of Burma, I promise I will throw the biggest pary ever when the military govt falls, I hope lightning will struck them twice

  • and you guys bash usa huh

  • @socalpimp1974 - Who is involved in 70% of the world's arms deals? ...The USA. There's a reason why people bash the US - they're a terrorist state, whom supply other terrorist and criminal states. I've heard they supply the Burmese army, whilst publicly denouncing their behaviour. No surprise there then.

  • they needa send Rambo there so he can do what he does best

  • Burma and North Korea are the younger brother of communist china.

  • Crazy , really I don't know why do they do this to innocent people . I thought my country is the worst but this video made me feel that I am living in paradise

  • good

  • F* burmese government and burmese soilders. It breaks my to see those babies and childrens suffered from this unhumane attacks. And where is UN when they are needed the most? Why can't they take some actions? This is as worse as the war in Iraq and Afraganistan. Put yourself in their shoes, what they are going throught days and nights. Please don't sit around and ignor this issues because it affected everyone of us. Please land a helping hands to those poor people. This got to be stopped.

  • burmese solidr sucks balls, seroius t alking

  • yes one thing we hav to know is that there are many ethnic groups in Myanmar. Of the many, there are still many different dialects. Such a completely confusion among us and also especially for foreigners. She spoke karen language. i hope you will see many karen people living in USA,Canada, and in some european countries. but as ASSK said " the difference is our strengths". Cheers!

  • do they speak differently in the eastern burma? bcause @3:45 when the lady was speaking i couldent understand any of it and i speak flaunt burmese.

  • @zorenator I'm guessing your not Burmese. there's many types of ethnic groups and they are different in many ways (language, culture, food, clothing etc)

  • wow u guys have been goin at it for awhile. how bout both u guys are fuckin queers and lets leave it at that :)

  • that the result from the US and UN put an embargo on Burma...

  • damn just like hmong people

  • Successful,People's Revolution in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya -one day Burma. God Willing.

    Nice song this. : )

  • In my opinion, this is a war against indigenous peoples, people who's only crime is living outside the systems of money and government control. Throughout modern history the pattern is repeating all over the world. It is always justified in the same way, by calling the victims terrorists and criminals, however what is happening is people who refuse to become chattel property of a state are destroyed. This is why citizenship is compulsory all over the world, to force people into serfdom/slavery.

  • send me a round trip ticket and i will fly over there and see for myself

  • fucking sick of people who can do something but choose not to. this goes to you, props for years of global benefits, UN. fucking ineffective useless money eating piece of the world.

  • @payroll713 Hi Payroll. So your a soldier in Karen state fighting for the freedom of the Karen? Your brave and I am proud of you, you took matter in your own hands, you understand that you have the power to change things, you understand that you should never blame others for things you haven't done yourself.

With you permission: 'fucking sick of people who can do something but choose not to. this goes to you,'.

    Cheers

  • @fjodor2008 i do what i can to help, instead of picking fights with ppl who support a similar cause like youre doing. why make more enemies when using all the resources you have is essential to someone's survival.

so should i pick up a gun and fight like youre telling me to do?

  • @payroll713 Fun fact: UN countries around the world tried a world wide sanction against Burma, but Russia and China vetoed it because of oil interests. Shows how much China and Russia care about human rights.

    thank you

  • so fucking sick of the UN and westernn governments being ignorant fucktards about this. it's 2011 for fucks sakes, open your eyes people.

  • holy, when will war ever end

  • @akaRightWrong It won't.

  • THEY SHOULD MARCH EVERY ONE OF THOSE UN BASTARDS OVER THERE AND MAKE THEM STAY FOR A MONTH OR TWO IN THOSE CONDITIONS.

  • What dumb asses really some people saying oh 2012 almost here we will all be wiped out. There is evidence of 2012 maybe the Mayans were wiped out before they could finish the calendar seriously. Plus astronomers would really say something not wait 2 god damn years to tell the government. Its all a LIE

  • I think I saw Rambo hiding in a bush, I'm serious!

  • dose this really happen there

  • @ajv1234509 yeah

absolutely since 1948 till now........still going on in Fucking Poor myanmar.....

  • Please Speak For These Poor People They Are Human Beings!

  • The poor Karen! Why can't they leave them alone?

  • We're not fighting in Burma because there's no oil there.

  • @Oaklio neither is France, Russia, China, or Britain...or the Dutch or the Germans or the Japanese or any other empirical countries.

  • @Oaklio You ignore the huge gas reserves that have been found. Burma is a strategic state, which is powerful for war and trade in the region. As the US prepares to send Clinton into the country for talk, question what their game is - I wrote an article about it: wik1.co.uk/2011/11/us-burma-what-is-the-real-game-of-the-us/

  • @Oaklio actually Burma has large oil fields

  • These people have no fighting chance. They military regime kills them for no reason. There is not a reason out there to kill all these people. The regime kill them for fun, that's it. I can't stand seeing these people not being able to do anything about it. They need a fighting chance. Instead of wasting our time in Iraq and whatever, we should go to Burma! We forgot all about them and done nothing! They are still dying and genocide is still be committed!!

  • You can dislike what I say but donating money will only make YOU feel better,

"I am a nice person who cares". If that's what you want to achieve that's cool it's honest at least.

IF you really want to help them, send them weapons, army instructors and engineers. My country was in a similar situation 20 years ago. Humanitarian aid was welcomed but smuggled guns and organizing efficient army was what made victory possible. Greetings from independent Croatia!

  • @BalkanibalX I love your country, I was in Croatia last month. Cheers from the U.S.

  • And I personally would pay higher taxes if world coalition would get involed replace this goverment so people dont have to suffer like this.

  • There is no oil here why should Europe or US get involved, and UN can suck my dick. Shit like this goes on all over the world to these poor people from Darfur and all over, yet UN cant go in there mop up these third world armies drop a few nukes that ought to lower the morale of the regime.

  • That mine used english for S and A - I assume safety and armed. If the US built that mine and sold it to a dictatorship, then the US and those that made and sold them should stand trial for genocide.

  • i miss you all my karen people..hope one day i can help u all.godblass u..

  • military junta is the responsible for all the atrocities in Burma, shame on them, if Aung San Suu Kyi will be free... there might be a sudden change on their political structure and system of society.

  • We are waiting to see justice in Burma, to say what we want, to read the press we want, to speak our minds. Free the political opposition in Burma to show the World there is a chance of a democratically elected government. The World is watching and now is the time to act. Now that Burmese junta leaders 'step down' from military posts. This is the right time to release all political prisoners from the past. Let the World welcome Burma back into its arms. Please free Ang San Suu Kyi.

  • hey thats fucked up man... fucked up!!

i need to do something.... i dont have any money but ill think of something.

  • I'll pray for the people of Burma everyday. I wish the news would focus more on conflicts like this and in Darfur instead of focusing on Lindsey Lohan going to jail or what person will win American Idol. "The greatest precept is continual awareness."

  • the world /NATO is always in some kind of acivity to help innocent ppl of Burma.

The truth is, nothing much will change, nothing will change, the harsh life of Burmese ppl will not change unless the change COMES FROM THE TOP; a Revoltion.

For Buemese to lead a better life, TOP DOWN massive change, is the only thing that will give Burmese a better live. This change requires a gd leader, well planned progressive steps and lastly the willingness to bleed. Is Burmese ready for that?

  • 2012 almost here. God will wipe out all human. Starting with the Junta regime. They will face sickness and die one by one every hour. We are one same specific so we need to love each other. Remember, 2012 of December 21 will be the last day for human to breath. Human will vanish and will be created again by god. Start everything over. But the Junta regime won't be on his list anymore. Much love to all Karen, Shan, Karenin, and other minority group. I am asian born to be Hmong in USA.

  • damn......this is insanely insanely rough..........40 years n ongoin more.....really really am gon do something about this...........can't stand back n wonder about all the what ifs........we really need to get free friends n help these ppl out

  • awfulll....another unknown part of the world is comming to light. no one can overthrow the millitary cause it has the power

  • it like the vietnam war2

  • D US or the UN only interevene wen there is Oil. Poor burmese ve no Oil so there is no libereation by d so called oil obsessed UN or US!

  • The U.S should pull a Vietnam on em... except y'know, actually help this time

  • they need rambo

  • watch?v=xYSe-bYHpO0

  • If i was granted superpowers, I'd make a B line for Burma, stand in front of the generals till i made them cry. then Strip them like they did the Monks. and then toss them to the people. Also I do understand how the army can be like that due to money and power, but there has to be so many in that army that are mistreated, out of fear they continue to obey orders from monsters, Very sad. I hope the people of Burma start up Anarchy to anyone who supports the leaders and burns everything down!

  • @nojoke1933

I'm sure they've tried that already.

  • The UN is worthless we must stop funding them.If they can not take care of this Junta then what good are they.

  • Again...this has been going on for so long...but most people want to move on to the "next big thing" and discuss other topics...or other genocides in other countries...and the cycle continues with the previous ones forgotten... well...it is only a matter of time before those who are majority will become the minority...and then they too will be long forgotten...

  • this world is so screwed up. This has been going on for years yet the UN isn't doing anything about it. lol......Money and Hate rules of Peace and Love, every single time.

  • i am karen just a kid 11 yrs old it very sad that seeing my people like this

  • why people do that to humans, god will be with you guy, please keep pray pray and pray god will know and give you a good happiness

  • The western countries must help thailand to stop this.

  • why don't the yanks stop supplying the Burmese military with weapons end of suffering..

  • very sad... Military junta should be bombed.. why doesn't india do smthn?

  • Pressure NOW the military junta of Burma!! Do something for the people of Burma!!

  • Please help the KAREN people and other natives of BURMA... please help now before its too late... they were just civilians... and human like you... they need home and peaceful life..

  • Who should renamed Our Earth as " Violated Earth".

  • Why are people killing people?

  • You are an absolute fool. Why do we want universal health care? Give me an example of anything the government does that cannot be better run by the private sector. What is wrong with Guantanamo Bay? Clearly you have no desire to protect the American public from Islamic terrorism. You have the wit of Nancy Pelosi and the character of Harry Reid. Do yourself a favor and learn something about our world. Clearly you're an uneducated, myopic sheep following the shepherd. Get a fucking clue you tool.

  • Universal healthcare is the ONLY moral thing to do, and single payer is the BEST option because it has the largest risk pool. Furthermore, once you get universal healthcare, it will be in the best interest of everyone to start promoting healthy living - like banning high fat foods and taxing unhealthy things like cigarettes and soda lot. That generates revenue to help the poor and expand social programs like welfare. Guantanamo bay gives our enemies proganda, and reminds of Bush. Obama 2012!!

  • @americaowns11 - I respectfully disagree with you. I also would like to point out that your opinions stated here are are not your own I have heard them before by some pundits. I don't know your info. sources, however, this video is talking about a different subject, let's respect each other here and talk about how we can help people from Burma. All the best to you.

  • When will the Chinese send it's peacekeepers?I mean,Burma is much closer than Africa.

  • Er Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia...do you realy think they are interested in peacekeeping?? Would that not be a touch hypocrytical of them?

  • The world will not lift a finger to aid the long-suffering Burmese people. The reason? China is a major supporter of the thuggish generals, and confronting China is NOT on the table for consideration. Politicians in the West only care about human rights abuses when it suits them to. Otherwise, its blind-eye time. The unspeakble generals know they cannot get away with any number of atrocities, because China has shown time and again that human rights are bottom of their agenda.

  • Well, maybe one day, if they find oil in Burma, we will give a damn and end this...

  • Exactly, if only the 'democracy for the world!' rhetoric held some weight, it's been proven not to time and time again.

  • Shame to see a goverment go against their own people

  • good thing china accept those people

  • China is a close ally of Burma (among other rogue states)

  • UN has done nothing in Burma.

I've travelled throughout Burma...Beautiful people...but the world needs to force out the Junta. Only way to fix this situation.

If UN/USA/Brits/Others..simply said "No More"...we could remove the military from control in a matter of a week. Very week...totally untrained military. Most are strung out on drugs.

Yet, we let the people of Burma suffer year after year. Time to do what is right....Remove the Junta.

  • But UN only takes action on a situation when it has been going on for 20 years.

Kinda weird why they dont do anything yet!!! :@

  • I agree...UN does very little. Really needs the strength of the USA or other nations to force out the Junta. Would that ever happen? Wishful thinking.

Maybe a USA backed insurgency to arm and fight back against the gov't..but remember...you are fighting a military. Very difficult to over take.

  • "needs the strength of the USA to force out the junta" you, like 99% of the dupes in amerikkka, have no clue do you? The amerikkkan govt doesnt back insurgencies for FREEDOM. They back insurgencie to arm and fight DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED govts. DO you not know this fool? WHo do you think arms and finances these brutal regimes around the world? THE CIA and PENTAGON. The JUNTas and Death squads and military regimes are SPONSERED by the amerikkkan govt. But your govt is noble right? lol!

  • To imply the USA sponsors the Junta is ridiculous. USA takes in many of the refugees from Burma ( My wife is one of them, Kachin)

I know of few errors made bye the USA..but overall, what you are sayingis far from the truth. USA has shed more blood and spent more money on other nations than any other country. (Except Russia...I think they shed more blood in WWII to outlast all for many more years)

Do I wish they did more in Burma? Yes.

But USA can't be the cure all.

  • USA is also not supposed to be the world's hegemon. a global police force that ruins countries at will . US sends the most aid abroad in absolute terms, but that's only because the country is so rich. Really the US sends a percentage much smaller than most countries

  • Tell me one time that USA has used our military tas "Hedgmen". Every time..we've had our reasons..and all but a few times we've had a world wide UN mandate to do so.

Name me one time that we have used our power without Int'l support? Hmm..you struggle, don't you.

We offer aid, nations accept our support. We are certainly not the only nation that offers support.

Ask yourself, what has your nation done for the world? Hmmm.. ponder it hard.

  • Burma (Myanmar) was a crown British Colony. It did well for nearly 200 years and Rangoon was a thriving city. They decided to be a republic and declare complete independence from the UK. You get what you deserve. I would only help them if they decided to be a Dominion again

  • What an ass.... it is not the people that have failed their nation, it is a rogue military dictatorship..

  • UN should take care of this long time affair and they don't and can't gi ve a s###t for a long time and people are suffering

  • very sad, we live in the western world . like nothing is happening in the world . its so sad, and evil . this should never happen . some world we live in . we should all rally together against evil forces.

  • peace..i'll pray for you ...may god give you the strenght to overcome this..

  • I think if you look at the problem areas in Myanmar, then geographically they all seem to cluster along the Chinese boarder.

But it's a big country, and away from this area it is much more settled. Is this correct? I've never been there, but I would perhaps like to visit one day.

  • Damn 4th world. With weapons... heh

Fuck Armed Forces intervention, you'd need squads of elite killing forces to do any damage in that hell hole.

  • Probably right..... Think of it...100 roving unmanned drones...taking out the leadership over a few day period.......it would stir things up a bit, don't ya think.

  • 11:34 Whats this guy talking about sounds like coward talk to me why can't we just help people because they need help.... we need to join as one and go and sort these fuckers out once and for all! power to the people

  • If you are interested in Burma I can recommend watching

Burma's Secret War (condensed) John Pilger - Part 1

    watch?v=7-hnzIGns-g

    and

Burma's Secret War (condensed) John Pilger - Part 2

    watch?v=H_WfGybnVEw

Democracy and FREEDOM for all countries in the World

  • Burman military regime is so stupid to have created this civil war of discrimination against fellow citizens for decades.

  • im burmese scre the burmese gov they are so fecked up

  • I hate Govt in bURMA ........

  • i just wonder why the UN not help Hmong refugees in Thailand and stop Laos communist to forced Hmong go back to Laos communist?

why UN just open their eyes to Burma's refugees only and let Burma ppl go to third country as Burma want to, why not let the Hmong go to the third country as Hmong want to .like Burma ???????

  • same reason no one including u.s hasnt ever gone in because of genocide no profit and gov doesnt wanna use troops lives to just save foreighners its cold but true the world comunity so called could have stopped alotta this burma and rwanda freedom fighters yeah right

  • because the UN is a crock of shit that pays lip service to human rights, yet doesn't really give a shit.

  • oh yeah you are right , The Hmong ppl are getting starving from Laos communist Army as the same as these ppl,

  • We thank you all for your interest and comments on the video. We request that people keep comments constructive and free of hate speech, expletives, etc.

  • wow sucks for all the other people who arent burmese ethnicity...

  • damn they r just like those hmong ppl livin in tha jungle of laos

  • whats horrible to think is its happening even as we speak

  • all the asian nation need to come together and help the out the people of burma.

  • i know too bad chinas not exactly big peacekeepers

  • "Too right America is not a country that goes to war because of imperialism."

This is apparently sarcasm, so I shall respond. To explain this to anyone outside of the USA would take more than 500 characters.

    The Short version is:

-If the USA was an empire, then USA soldiers would take taxes from those in other countries by force at gunpoint. Do Europeans pay taxes to the US Government? Do the Chinese? Taxes paid to the IRS check using known US Government tax forms? This does not happen.

  • -The US really DOES do these things because of a belief (one that is naive to many in Europe and Russia and other intellectual nations) that they are spreading Democracy. Because Europe has a history of intellectual cynicism, and because in Europe and Asia when a nation does what the USA does they are doing it to stea,l rape, pillage, and plunder, because the USA appears to do the same actions, then you assume that the motives are identical to the dictators you have encountered in your regions

  • Concluding as such is incorrect. George Bush actually holds the sincere value that he and the US were making Iraq safe for Democracy. Laugh and mock and make fun of this and scoff all you want - this value is real and is shared by more than 50% of Americans.

-If the USA were in Iraq to steal and take oil, then they wouldn´t pay the Iraqis for the oil. They pay, thus they did not invade to take the oil of Iraq.

  • -European and Russian and South Americans have experience with Conservative Politcs==Repressive Totalitarians. The USA is not like the rest of the world. The concept is called "American Exceptionalism". Because the USA does not have the same history of multiple invasions during the past 140 years, we do not have a linkage with Totalitarianism and Conservatism or the Right Wing or US Republicans.

  • Many in other parts of the world need to stop seeing the US as a nation like theirs, just as many in the USA can benefit from not seeing other nations as an extension of the USA that will soon speak English, become the 51st state of America, and move to Los Angeles to get The American Dream.

  • And since they cannot blame white people for it the media won't cover it.

  • these people have a country of their own; why are they killing each other?

  • The entire Third World has always killed each other.

  • i love my karen peoples and my karen solider i miss they alway wanna go back to my kawthoolei but i can't because burmese sodier heart is not like other peoples heart so if i go they will kill me so that hella F

  • there doing that just because there rural?

  • ok this may sound duchebagy i know but usa and un dont get in because they dont want to cause a world war so they do their "best" and just send small amount of militaries to protect ppl that are peacefuly going there to film whats going on wrong and crap.....i say if we realy want to change all this dictatorship bullshit is to stand up and fight for whats wrong instead of cowarding inside air force 1 with a drink in his hand....we as kids and teens are this countrys furture lets make it count

  • magicex3

Wrong! America can't always come to the aid of everyone. People in other countries have to stand up for their rights and freedoms. They need to stop being cowards and fight for what is right. They need to overthrow their own Governments.

  • See Mr,,, u actually dont know what is happening in Burma actually ... In this world who doesn't want to be developed.... n u seems 2 b n idiot one who doesnt know anything about liberty.... u better remain closed 2 ur country n start cleanin ur own garbage... we know what we should do with our own people,,, N one thing u shuld remember that we will not bow and accept other foreign rule and become ourselve the puppet of someone..K tell to ur Fucking UN and the follower of them too

  • You are very right,,, UN is itself a big crimainal.. this problem should be solved by the burmese only.. in this regard why cant Mss.Syu co-ordinate with the rulers... she too seems to be a big criminal... and acting like a puppet from a foreign power Specially from India and USA on behalf of UN

  • Your sound like an idiot brain washed by Than Shwe's dogs.

open your eyes, it's been over 60 years the world is changing as time passed by, you idiot than shwe is sleeping in the Bo Daw Pha Yar era.

If you dont' understand politic or if you want to ignore people of Burma, Now I ask you to shat the hell up.

  • Why doesnt the united states help countries like these? im sure a war there wouldn't be that much profitable but it would make everybody feel a lot better about the US and other powerfull nations in the word...

  • Burma don't have oil.that's why.

  • Again, such a typical(and naive)thing to say about the U.S. Every single conflict we've ever engaged in was for the security and economic stability. In fact, U.S is the only country that even dares intervene poltically for militarily. but what you're asking is to have the U.S military mobalize every single time someone on the other side of the world faces poor leadership.

Oh wait, Every time we are against dictators, people like you tell us to mind our own buisness. contradiction much?

  • Too right America is not a counrty that goes to war because of imperialism

  • Please tell me a war that the USA made money on? USA has spent fortunes in Iraq and Afghanistan.. We have taken no oil. We have no big trade relationships.

By the way, Burma does have oil. This is why China is in burma. Read up on the facts.

  • Pls check my newest video "China´s MASSACRE in Spratly islands (real footage 1988)" of my account , around 04:57 to see how INHUMANLY and BRUTALLY the Chinese massacred the unarmed innocent people on Spratly islands.

    Thanks for watching

  • well when you 2 sort out your private affairs can i point out that i go over the thai/burma border with the Karen rebels and bring back orphans..some with , some without limbs.. you should try it ..scary but puts life into perspective..these Karen were abandoned by Britain after fighting the japanese with us.

  • I'm feeling very very sorry for those poor people. May God bless them all

  • YourVenusDoom666:

Creatures such as sureshot649 will always be with us. They are emblematic of the depersonalizing depths to which humanity is capable of sinking...and it is they who are, ultimately, worthless, because they have no redeeming value to the rest of humanity - they are 'in the game' solely for themselves, and when they die, they are missed by few, if any.

    sureshot649:

I note the absence of 'The Dogs of War' from your favorite movies. You have been remiss in your self education...

  • Depending on the U.N. is a huge mistake. The U.N. only causes problems everywhere they set their foot.

  • all of people please help them... plz view n help

  • Why do the burmese government want to kill their own people? These are beautiful people I just don't get it ...they would'nt even let aid in when the earthquake happened very sad..

  • they are probablly from a different ethnic group

  • If you dont care, why do you you watch the video, and take the time to leave a stupid comment

  • The Burmese military government is much more stupid than you can ever imagine!

  • I'm absolutely appalled by your fighting and some of your views. These people are suffering! And they need help now! Why is the UN turning a blind eye to this?

  • You know...I think sometimes it would just be best...to drop a bomb, made of materials that can not be traced to any one country..and be done with this mess.

Just kill the Junta. Simple. Nobody can tell me USA couldn't fly in an unmannped plane, blow the guy up...and keep taking out the top leaders. Eventually, they will choose free elections since it is not safe to run the country otherwise. This is not complicated!

  • I hope someday the earth will start all over reborn new humanlization and no more violization.

  • I'm going to watch arby n chief again -.-

  • young guys be bold go n shoot the fucking regime

  • Well that is the result of a poor government, all the more reason our leaders should be choosen wisely...

  • The God has failed us for millenia...its brainwashing. A great story written to control the masses. Control, brainwashing, stories? Who could perpatrate such a web of deciept for so long you ask? Who else? The same people that spin your media everyday....The Jews. Control is the game, they have mastered it.
