EXCELLENT VIDEO!! IT ALSO SHOW THE TRADITIONAL RACIST MENTALITY IN LATIN AMERICA...ESPECIALLY "EL BLAQUEAMIENTO" OF THE SPANISH SPEAKING CARIBBEAN..PA'LANTE MIS NEGROS!!! DEFIENDANSE!!!
@Supernova310 Obviously some people are not American citizens or are American citizens but speak Spanish becaused they are raised in a Spanish speaking environment! If you were visiting another country where you do not know the language, wouldn't you want their to be an English option for you?
@chsn09 Check this out guy BEFORE you become a U.S. citizen LEGALLY you learn English along with a little history and such Im sure you dont know this... there is no "now you're here" thats the people getting kicked out of AZ
@Supernova310 Dude! I am American! My point was that yes if you are in the USA that ass better know how to speak English but for people who may be immigrants that may nit be so even when they might be legal permanent residents! So I said wouldn't you want an English option if you were living in a country that has a different language and you could not speak it yet!
@Supernova310 Some ppl can't speak English which could be do to a number of reasons! I was not disagreeing with you! Just bringing up another side of the issue!
@Supernova310 Also how dare you assume I do not know this??? Of course I freaking know! And if the people get kicked out if Arizona that is their fault! Illegal immigrants and illegal immigration is wrong! I agree that you have to soeak English! I know some people who have been in this country for 10 years and still can't speak English which is ridiculous bullshit!!
this is for all the multiracial confused folk...if some asked you if you have a small or big nose...and your nose is small...but you say your nose is half big and half small...because your dad has a big nose and your mom a small one...that crap wouldn't make any sense...it doesn't matter if both of your parents are white if you look like zoe saldana, christina milian, or don omar,..then your black...and youre not denying your parents...its the way you look...
@afropana1 lol....no i aint talikin about that at alll....thats not kool....all im trying to say is that you could be both black and latino which is clearly evident by this video....black is a race by the way you look...whereas latino is more of a cultural classification...
im black american and i check black off...because thats what i look like...I am of african, native, and european descent...and i am not denying any of that by checking off black...if i looked white id check white..but i dont....in essence, black is the visual human characteristics of africa...when someone sees black they first think of africa...thats true...and thats the way i look...thats my race....but black doesn't mean that i dont have other cultural roots..
@DatBlackAmerican the problem is.. do you really look black like a west african or like a new world black that looks obviously mixed race. you bring up Christina Milian and Zoe Saldana but both of these girls are obviously mixed so from that statement you're showing us an American view of what is black. I look more African that Christina Milian but I still look obviously mixed race which makes sense since my mom is white Cuban..
@sangreafrolatino yea that is true...i cant lie...i dont look 100% african...i look zambo..or griffe...or whatever they used to call blacks that were 75% black and 25% other...so sometimes i call myself a mixed Black person..lol..but at the same time when i define black to include people of mixed race which historically for the most part always has then i can comfortably say im Black.it includes physical aesthetics that vary from those who look like christina milian to those who look like akon
@DatBlackAmerican i completely agree, i'm from england and latinos are a small minority here, mainly columbians. when i saw oh but my mums family afro-cuban so yeah i class myself as part latina. people are like hold up but latinas are white.
@DatBlackAmerican I agree to identify as how you look and that's why I don't say I'm black because I look obviously mixed race. If you look like an unmixed Yoruba or an Ewe or a Bantu than you're obviously black.. if you look like Beyonce than you're obviously mixed. Simple as that.
Y tu abuela?
The issue is that (US)American racial classification differs a great deal from Latin American classification. The U.S. must first address it's own hypocrisy and inconsistencies in regards to race. Forget the One-Drop Rule. Stop forcing people with diverse heritage to only choose one.
LOL. WHo has forced anyone to choose one? I fully support embracing multiple ones. What I don't support is one faction trying to dictate identity to all other factions. Try again.
I like the effort to get people to acknowledge ALL of their heritage/ background/ ethnicty. What I don't care for is the statement the grandmother made about her not liking the boy to play with "black" kids. What kind of statement is that?? Especially since a few seconds later she claims to be both black and latina. That sentiment is contradictory and unprogressive.
The first comment was acting. Showing a negative trait. The second was her true opinion. But then I look at her and she has substantial European and probably Native Ancestry as well. If we are going to get rid of stigmas, we should go for all of them.
@SimplyD81 It was a skit, like someone else mentioned. To show the common scenario a lot of Afro-Latinos have gone through. The acting skit was over when she began to speak and show support for blackness and latinidad.
What's the name of this song btw?

This is non-sense,
I am a mix, of white, black and indian.
So where do I put?
My father is from one country and mother is from another?
The classification do not serve for any purpose specially in today world
The only thing that these serve is to discriminate.
To put the label. As the jews were force to wear a star.
Why not to ask useful questions about my living conditions, my health or the needs of the community?
