Can you guys please do a video on pintails and different pintail set ups i.e. one for carving one for sliding and one for down hill? It would be greatly appreciated.
Are the bushings good because i am planning on buying 180 paris trucks in crimson red and if i should change the bushings what bushing brand should i get
are the paris 195 trucks good for freeriding? or should i go with the 180's? would i also need to buy different bushings to get the best out of the trucks? im looking to get the best performance possible for freeriding, as well as being able to take on larger hills at higher speeds, if that sort of balance is possible. much appreciate your help !
holy crap i got these trucks 3 days ago and me and my friend were just bombing the biggest hills we could find. not a single wobble... sweet jesus these are amazing
@devilspawn2479 Why on earth would you get rid of your original trucks? dude they are the pinnacle of great sliding, you slide longer faster and smoother
@Zipo214 i dont know why they do this but when im pushing it swearves and turns when im trying to hold it steady. i lube them and clean them after everytime i ride them. and when i try to put a locking nut on them it just wont stay tight nomater what i do
@devilspawn2479 You should go watch the Original how to's On your trucks you should only use white lithium lube, to not damage your wave cams by transmission, never use wd-40 or oil based solvent. you king pin must not be screwing in right. if that's not the case there are some instances where the king pin can slip, a simple fix is to just get another Kingpin nut sized nut an add it to the end of the king pin to lock your first nut in place. it should prevent it from moving. don't over tighten
@devilspawn2479 I would advise installing a new tension spring if you think it's your weight, if you have original trucks I strongly suggest researching more about the customization of the trucks, there are three tension springs that they offer light(black) this is stock for all boards, medium ( red), heavy( white). at the weight you are at i would advise getting a red if you want the smooth surfy feeling that i would experience (140 lbs) but i have a 225 lb friend who rides my board ?
Hey guys, I'm getting the Original Pintail 43, and i can't choose between the 195mm paris truck, the Original S8, or Original S10. I love the original trucks because they turn and carve so well, but i have heard that they get stress cracks and break easily. I'd love some help. thanks
@MrAuburn26 Original trucks do not get stress fractures I have brought mine through hell and back, they are the most durable truck on the market. The only thing to worry about Original trucks is to not over tighten them. If you overtighten them you will crack or break the WAVECAM its the component that is the alternative to bushings and multiple springs. It's what gives you great directionability and control.
Hey guys, I'm getting the Original Pintail 43, and i can't choose between the 195mm paris truck, the Original S8, or Original S10. I'd love some help. thanks
Does the Paris 180mm (does the Colton special edition make a difference apart from the graphic) bend the axels easily if doing stuff like early grabs and other truck punishing tricks?
My friend recently got a S9 Brandy from a local shop. He told the employee he wanted Paris 195's but the guy gave him a 195 in the back and a 180 in the front XD what an idiot
is the mummy good for light freeriding all over the town i want something small and light im debating between the timeline and the mummy which is better
I would go with the carbon mummy, the wedge in the front is so money. makes a pocket for your front foot and makes it much easier to weave through human traffic and freak people out. Hope this helps :D
@MotionBoardshop Hey bro,i have an original pintail 40 and im tired of there trucks,but still want all the carve.Can i roll some 70mm wheels with 180s without wheel bite. P.S. i hate risers,thank you
No riser pads will be needed with 180mm trucks on 50 degree plates and 70mm wheels. But if you want to run lower degree truck then yes you do need at least .10in. rise pads.
ok i have a rayne timeline (width 9.25) and im gettin paris 180 whats the max wheel size i can have with no wheelbite? will 70mm work with no wheel bite
i just bought. the paris 180s. and i freestyle alot of the apex 37. .. are the paris trucks also good for like carving. and stuff like that. or a downhill truck?

I've been meaning too ask tok find out for awhile, checked out the site didn't really look that hard, good for them if it is. I live
i have a question if you know this board i have thge new apex 37 carbon longboard and i like the s8 on them spring loaded but they are more for crusing and thats what i do but i have alot of hills near my house so i always have to tighten my trucks but im getting some paris but idk if i should get the paris 180s or 195s can you guys help? thanks
Can you still carve very hard and tight with thoses Paris 195 ? Will they be able to make some 360 slides-shovit ? Are they as carvy as the Paris 180 ? Thanks REPLY ! :)
I have s10 original trucks.. i want to change for traditional trucks for somone similar to the original.. what you recomend : bear grizly 852, paris or randal?? Thanks
Of course you can out supercarves in paris. But i personally recommend you put barrels in there, it feels better. If you get some softer barrels it will turn just as well as supercarves, but there will be more rebound. can u put venom super carves on paris 180s and r the super carves good for freestyle like ghost ride kickflips, tiger claws etc. r they supportive enough. btw im like 200lb so yeah get back 2 me please
@Hoiz28 well i ride rayne deemonseen with randal 42's with some kiro red board side and yellow road side sorry i dont know the duro but there fairly stiff um like when iride im pritty much good but when i go to foot break i senter my foot like u are saying nd i get mad wobbles like ive been thrown from the bitch soo many times my trucks r cranked as well so maby its just practice u know or my trucks could b 2 loose like if i hit a small crack it thows me and i get wobbles but nothing to bad
Hey im having trouble turning/ sliding on my board. i have paris 180's and a pretty stiff board so do you have any suggestions of what i could get so that i could turn/ slide better.
hey i ordered a knock off loaded dervish on ebay. i am short on cash and it was half the price of a loaded dervish. can any regular trucks fin on a dervish? or do they need to be specific for the board?
i weigh 140, and have paris 180s and i like them really turn but it makes it wobble way to much even at low speeds, what bushings do you recommend for carving and sliding
Whats a better truck for freeriding and light bombing... randal rII 180s 50* baseplate or paris 180s... i was thinking randals just cuz i can flip em and lessen the degree
Hey im interested in purchasing a five mile a10 warthog deck but every time i check the Motion website the deck is out of stock. When is the best time to check the site so i can place an order? It would be great if you guys had a "back in stock" notification system via email.. Any information will be greatly appreciated
Hey, I was wondering what you think would work nice with my freeride set-up. I have a Earthwing Supermodel, and I was looking at getting the 83a purple orangatang durians. What would be some nice trucks for this? I've been looking at Randal and Paris, and could go either way.
haha what an idiot. "theres not any downhill specific trucks at the mmoment" i guess as a sponsored longboarder he hasnt heard of kaha's maguns or any other precisions that are specifically made for going as fast you want.
are none of those trucks suitable. i know that the paris 195 are a great truck, but if i was new to the sport i wouldnt like it if i got told that the only truck i could buy cheap for downhill and slashing was a paris 195.
like i said, hes a cool dude, paris trucks are good, they just arent the ONLY good trucks.
They are really pretty similar. I personally prefer Randals but other guys in the shop prefer Paris', so it all comes down to personal preference. You'll be happy with either.
@MotionBoardshop quick question i ride randals for downhill with a 45 dagree plate when i foot break a always wobble this is when im up at like 50 and stuff and ive had some pritty hard face plants my full face is getting pritty beat up would you have any sugestions like run them tighter?
@skatingwithsoup i ride both so i dont have to make that choice haha personally i like the feel of paris for carving rather than randal i think its a smoother transition i ride randals for downhill for the flipping cababilities. i think randals a great for downhill they dont have as smooth of a turne but there stable as hell like i ride 45 dagree base plates ive only had speed wobbles once when i was foot breaking and that was at like 50 mph so yea. i dont ride stock bushings so good luck
They are fairly similar in terms of drop, but the width, concave, and general molding are quite different. The Killswitch is wider, and features pleasure dome whereas the A10 is narrower and has the "hot pocket" 'cave, which has a little camber in the middle to lock your feet into specific spots. Overall I'd just say that the Killswitch accels more in DH, whereas the A-10 is more freeride oriented.
My personal favorites are pink powerballs and purple durians. Other good choices might be yellow durians or zombie hawgs. There are so many options that it is really dependent on the rider and their style.
So, if I wanted to order a board today. What would be a good setup for a person who is 5'8 and ways 190lbs? I'm really looking into the five mile a-10 warthog? What type of setups would you guys recommend? Ranging from wheels, trucks bearings, bushings, and anything else. The type of boarding I do involves carving bombing hills and free riding.
@BabyTumbler the at10 set up with randals for freeriding will give the boar lots of lean and will make it very nice for doing stand up slides, but if you wanted an everything setup i would say purple o tangs and paris 195s for everything
@MotionBoardshop what wheel size would u recommend for the purple o tangs? 75mm in heats 83a or 75mm durian freeride 83a? Do the boards come preassembled or do i have to purchase the deck, truck, and wheels and assemble it myself?
paris is out of stokc becasue paris the company is out of stock, so we are waiting on them, and once they hace it all toghether, we will be shipping them out, but we imagine to have a case or two of trucks on may 7th.

You guys should do a 60seconds vid on the rayne nemesis!

What are the best venom bushings for cruising/carving? I'm 120 pounds and fairly new to longboarding. The trucks I am currently using are Bear 852's.

robbiehannah4444 1 year ago
haha what an idiot. "theres not any downhill specific trucks at the mmoment" i guess as a sponsored longboarder he hasnt heard of kaha's maguns or any other precisions that are specifically made for going as fast you want.
nolan4017 1 year ago
@nolan4017
He's talking about how there is no downhill specific PARIS truck at the moment. If I were you I really wouldn't question Dubes' knowledge.
MotionBoardshop 1 year ago 13
@MotionBoardshop
yeah yeah i just misunderstood the guy my bad, i was having a bit of a hate on paris at the time after reading an interview with the owner.
sorry
nolan4017 1 year ago
@nolan4017
actually dude fuck that i just listened again, he doesnt mention paris
"just entrance in to the market where there isnt like a downhill specific truck that you can just strap on your board and go skate"
he doesnt mention paris or even imply he is only talking about paris.
like its cool to be sponsored and all but if peopel respect your opinion and trust you dont have an opinion bias towards your sponsor
nolan4017 1 year ago
@nolan4017 You're missing the 'or just thrash it around the neighborhood'. Most people don't like freeriding their $200+ Trucks.
You're a DUMB. ASS.
brutalback 1 year ago
@brutalback
yeah and you can't get randals or sabre or crail?
are none of those trucks suitable. i know that the paris 195 are a great truck, but if i was new to the sport i wouldnt like it if i got told that the only truck i could buy cheap for downhill and slashing was a paris 195.
like i said, hes a cool dude, paris trucks are good, they just arent the ONLY good trucks.
nolan4017 1 year ago
@nolan4017 dude, hes sponsored by paris and five mile. your obviously the idiot here...

Loadeddervishrider 1 year ago
which do you think are better, paris 180's or randal 180's?
skatingwithsoup 1 year ago
@skatingwithsoup
They are really pretty similar. I personally prefer Randals but other guys in the shop prefer Paris', so it all comes down to personal preference. You'll be happy with either.
MotionBoardshop 1 year ago
@MotionBoardshop quick question i ride randals for downhill with a 45 dagree plate when i foot break a always wobble this is when im up at like 50 and stuff and ive had some pritty hard face plants my full face is getting pritty beat up would you have any sugestions like run them tighter?
pdubs926 1 year ago
@skatingwithsoup i ride both so i dont have to make that choice haha personally i like the feel of paris for carving rather than randal i think its a smoother transition i ride randals for downhill for the flipping cababilities. i think randals a great for downhill they dont have as smooth of a turne but there stable as hell like i ride 45 dagree base plates ive only had speed wobbles once when i was foot breaking and that was at like 50 mph so yea. i dont ride stock bushings so good luck

please review the rayne avenger
loadedlongboardlover 1 year ago
this deck seems pretty similar to the rayne killswitch
how do you guys compare these decks?
28thnJ 1 year ago
@28thnJ

What would be good freeride wheels if im doing slides at 25MPH or so?
sizemorebomb 1 year ago
@sizemorebomb orangatang stimulus's
TheCimosabi 1 year ago
@sizemorebomb
My personal favorites are pink powerballs and purple durians. Other good choices might be yellow durians or zombie hawgs. There are so many options that it is really dependent on the rider and their style.
MotionBoardshop 1 year ago
So, if I wanted to order a board today. What would be a good setup for a person who is 5'8 and ways 190lbs? I'm really looking into the five mile a-10 warthog? What type of setups would you guys recommend? Ranging from wheels, trucks bearings, bushings, and anything else. The type of boarding I do involves carving bombing hills and free riding.
BabyTumbler 1 year ago
@BabyTumbler the at10 set up with randals for freeriding will give the boar lots of lean and will make it very nice for doing stand up slides, but if you wanted an everything setup i would say purple o tangs and paris 195s for everything
MotionBoardshop 1 year ago
@MotionBoardshop what wheel size would u recommend for the purple o tangs? 75mm in heats 83a or 75mm durian freeride 83a? Do the boards come preassembled or do i have to purchase the deck, truck, and wheels and assemble it myself?
BabyTumbler 1 year ago
@BabyTumbler
Set it up with some 50 degree, 180 trucks (randals or Bears, your pick) and some purple 4presidents. You can do most anything on that setup.
MotionBoardshop 1 year ago
Paris is the shit. I have the 180s on my spud, and orangatang wheels are the best too.
