Halo is by far one of the greatest Franchises in gaming history. Call of Duty is too, but the hardcore fans, who get an orgy when they first put it in their Xbox, or when they get a kill. Halo is a fun, competitive game, that anyone can master, but in Call of Duty, you have those who waste constant hours in getting 'skill', and call people who are beginners noobs or you suck. I think Halo is amazing, and Call of Duty, but Halo beats in Multiplayer by team players and good sportsmanship.

Yeah, despite the different art style and moments of awesome silliness, Halo is the much truer FPS. It adheres more to core FPS gameplay and emphasizes strategies drawn from legendary FPS's. CoD has a more realistic setting, but it's easily the most arcadey FPS. Things flashing on your screen every time you so much as pull the trigger, jumping into RC cars and choppers every couple kills, etc. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it's definitely not "hardcore" or whatever.

Nah, IW is still very much alive. They lost their top 2 guys and a bunch of others but they still have plenty of employees. If you remember, one of the disputes between Activision and IW was that the developer never got paid its bonus for making MW2. Right after the IW employees quit, the remaining ones immediately got their bonuses, in what's probably one of the biggest dick moves in video game history. But yeah, those guys are still around, and IW is hard at work on MW3.

I don't think they will. Actually, I should've been more clear: MW3 is being worked on by no less than 3 different developers. Sledgehammer Games, who worked on Dead Space, will be helping IW with the single player. Raven Software, who worked on Singularity and some X-Men game (lol), is solely in charge of multiplayer. But yeah, I'm sure they've all learned from their mistakes in MW2, so it ought to be free of what made MW2 annoying.
