How can anyone listen to this and not get the spirit and want to dance? I used to go with my grandparents to the old time singings all over the south, and many groups moved back then, just not as much. This group brings back some of the most happy memories of my life.

I love the harmony and sound of EH&SS, but I don't appreciate their mixing dance routines with powerful gospel songs. Are people coming to see them for their look and dance, or are they coming to hear the name of God Almighty lifted up? I was hoping EH&SS wold stay true to the Southern Gospel way. - L5, Greater Vision, Mark Trammell Trio, Gold City, etc.

Ernie Hasse and Sig Sound have a big following here in eastern KY, and Hey, you can't go through a day without hearing someone humming or singing one of their songs!
Actually, reading the Bible, you will never find music, as powerful as it is, being used as a tool of ministering or teaching as you said. It is a powerful tool of enlightenment, but it was never used to teach people or lead people to Christ. And as great as some singers are, no one comes close to the importance of a preacher.
I agree, a preacher full of the spirit is very moving. How ever, I personally have learned and retained more from listening to singers like these guys minister thru song than by simply reading the bible.....
um... i know ernie is a southern baptist but idk about the rest of the guys. ernie used to go to my church!! along time ago. i was like a baby. well like 2. he used to come to our church when he wasn't touring and he'd play with me in the nursery or whatever. he's a cool guy. :)

What is it the fact that they are doing something good for God or not the way you want it done. The numbers can not be wrong. By the way they do sing in sancturary at least in Houston. I think that is the 4th largest in the US so what would that make you. Small town small ideas.

Good thing they have you-tube...It has all the old stuff that you can view and actually see what gospel music is suppose to sound and be like.

I agree 100%!!! Whatever happened to honoring Christ and "having church". Maybe that's the problem; SG has separated from the "church" and it's all done in theaters and concert halls now. Give me the old style SG or small local groups that are interested in serving God and not mammon!!! I'd much rather hear someone snot and cry while sharing their testimony and what God has done for them over this "song and dance routine" any day!!!

AMEN TO THAT BROTHER!....The numbers can't be wrong? Yeah lets see how many tickets we can sell or you-tubers we can get! He's right the numbers aren't wrong! They tell you who's the real deal and not just a bunch of dancing show off chickens! Anybody that takes up for this CRAP is no better off!

Like I said...another moron. Go dance on stage with this premadana's. Never saw one of the old groups? I've been playing and singing on a stage with other people since I was big enough to walk. Why I'm even debating this with someone who doesn't know music from their butthole I don't know...Oh wait I"m NOT.

Your 20 something and I have socks older than you. I went to your site and you can not sing or pick...so we know what your problem is...they have made it big and you are nobody and never will be. You are the hick with no education and no money who is mad a the anyone who is better smarter and more talented than you. I have been to many Southern Gospel concerts and you could not hold a candle to any of them. It is a fact poor picker without a music ear..so sad.

I don't know about Mr Clean but uneducated?? Me?? My friend, I have had more education than you could ever attempt. With two MS (CHE & IE) as well as an MBA, I doubt I would qualify as "uneducated". While you were at these "concerts" I was probably in church, having church and seeing people SAVED! (Notice I didn't refer to it as changed as people that get saved ALWAYS change. People that get "changed" don't necessarily get SAVED!!!) I promise, you will embarrass yourself if you try comparing SG

Any one can say anything about themselves here. So...If I need a Chem eng I will look you up I am sure your one of the best. When it comes to getting people into the Kingdom of Heaven then we both should be at the work not giving each other about how it is to be done. What is church? It may blow your mind but it is NOT what you think that is important!! Church has not saved one soul. Now SG may have so shut up and let them go about Gods work. Again I am much older so learn, you need it.

How can anyone listen to this and not get the spirit and want to dance? I used to go with my grandparents to the old time singings all over the south, and many groups moved back then, just not as much. This group brings back some of the most happy memories of my life.

I love the harmony and sound of EH&SS, but I don't appreciate their mixing dance routines with powerful gospel songs. Are people coming to see them for their look and dance, or are they coming to hear the name of God Almighty lifted up? I was hoping EH&SS wold stay true to the Southern Gospel way. - L5, Greater Vision, Mark Trammell Trio, Gold City, etc.

Yup...Agreed 110 percent. There is a fine line there. You can tell when it's a show boat and this is what most of it is. Most people don't have the balls to say that or even agree. Especially when u say this and then someone quotes scripture everytime u say it. They gather around the piano show off him and jump around the stage like a buncha monkies. They put the quartets of yesterdays music like the blackwood brothers.....jd sumner...they sang..no showboatin...but whatever..music is longgone

i love this, and the dancing around just comes with the territory, i lead the worship at my church and when the spirit starts to movin u can't help but to move around!

I don't like the dancing around because it is going comtempary. Ernie knows how his father-in-law was and yes, there was times George joked around. Just don't let it go too far. God never changes. Only the world.

They're Christian! They're messengers from the LORD...with Jesus, and the awesome sound, they help folks like me keep a happy feeling in my heart, and my heart light!
I'm from the mountains, and Brother/Sister, they sound GREAT! They are as necessary as a PREACHER...they teach us with song!
Ernie Hasse and Sig Sound have a big following here in eastern KY, and Hey, you can't go through a day without hearing someone humming or singing one of their songs!

Actually, reading the Bible, you will never find music, as powerful as it is, being used as a tool of ministering or teaching as you said. It is a powerful tool of enlightenment, but it was never used to teach people or lead people to Christ. And as great as some singers are, no one comes close to the importance of a preacher.

um... i know ernie is a southern baptist but idk about the rest of the guys. ernie used to go to my church!! along time ago. i was like a baby. well like 2. he used to come to our church when he wasn't touring and he'd play with me in the nursery or whatever. he's a cool guy. :)

what do you think they are doing here, praising God or singing because they are being praised? we should sing not for the flesh but for glorifying God and i dont think these people's singing is gloryfying God. Well, these quartet have good voices but i dont like the way they sing. i hope they change for the good.
