I prefer chicken legs they are cheap and easy to secure to crab ring netting. Fish carcass from fillets can be used, but the sea lions will destroy the crab gear to get to the fish. Sea lions seem to turn their nose at chicken. Remember the seasons to crab are the months that have an R in the spelling. June, July and August are typical months that the crab are molting.
