The Left has had their chance now to show how they compare to the tea party. In spite of the incessant demonizing of the tea party from most all of the media and then cutlure, for over two years, the Left can't get past this.
So the reason there is chaos is because the people on drugs, stealing, and doing all these bad things were shaped to be that way by their immediate environment, which is bad, which is shaped by the overall capitalist system we all live under today. The bad environment being poverty, which is a consequence of capitalism. All people abuse drugs because of stress, that stress is directly a syndrome of capitalism.
When people abuse a drug long enough, they become addicted, and are sick, thus needing help. And if not getting the help, and are poor, will commit crimes, which are bad, and associated to chaos. When a person fills their capitalist institutional role, that a person must fill to have some decent way of living, they are pushed to be about their selves over everyone else and remain as busy as possible.
Remaining busy so to get money that is needed for survival, and extra money to spend on toys that those people think will make them happy, joyful, or bring some peace but never really does.
People have little time to get to know that sick person, and because people are ignorant of that person addicted to drugs, along with having many false beliefs about them, pressed into peoples heads by media, people may not want to get to know them.
And as a consequence could care less for them, and may not want to help them out in any way, like spend their tax dollars on treatment centers, based on compassion, because they think the drug addict is all bad and have no one to blame other then themselves cause drug users are dirty and can’t be good, so why help.
People do bad things because they were born into a bad environment that shapes them in a way that causes them to do bad. Yes, I know that there are people born into bad situations that overcome it, and go on to do good. But those people have hope. Hope is needed to motivate people to rise above their current situation.
Hope is needed for action. If one thinks that it’s all hopeless, then there would be no reason to even try to escape the hell one is born into; after all, it’s hopeless right, nothing you can do, so stay where you are.
The depression, stress, and the drug abuse and drug addiction that it causes, and the obesity, addiction to electronics, addiction to really anything, is around because people want to escape their current life problems, that never go away unless those people take the time to find peace with those problems, but can never seem to do so because they can never seem to find the time because they are always so busy.
And with being addicted to buying, getting, so to ignore their current life problems, being for consumption and owning, and deeply connected to what they own; thus the whole “this is mine and no one else’s!” is a direct consequence of capitalism that keeps people, demanding them, in their capitalist institutional role, to work, work, stay busy so to consume as much as possible
and invest so to make more money so to keep consuming more and keep on making as much money now and nothing else, taking, taking, as much as possible, even if it drains a person spiritually, wearing them down mentally, causing them never to be at peace because it seems that they can never find the time to obtain it. And the world becomes a bad place, with much suffering, when peace is hard to find.
Capitalism teaches people to be for self over everyone else. It teaches people to take, and take, and only give if they are given some type of reward in return. It’s not only just about helping those in need, it’s about “what can I get as a result?”
Society is corrupted because of capitalism. Why do you think we have a war on drugs, that keeps people, who are addicted and abusing drugs, who need and may want help, from getting the help they need; and thus keeps a high percentage of the population abusing drugs and being addicted to them. Many who are abusing drugs and addicted to drugs want help but don’t want imprisonment, which is why they try and do it alone, which is not easy.
When non violent drug users get a felony for minor drug possession or are given a felony and go into jail and prison, coming out with a messed up mental health, or hardened, and can’t get a job in the economic mainstream, they have to steal or commit some other crime to feed themselves. It’s only natural that people feed themselves. And it’s only natural that people will find some way to feed themselves, even if it means committing a crime.
It’s too bad there aren’t enough food kitchens. And it’s too bad that the financial elite, products of capitalism, wants to exterminate food stamps, because it gets in the way of the bottom line - making as much money as possible.
Because of a felony, people are denied the right to live in a home, and become homeless as a result. After all, we can’t trust those felons, even though they may of never assaulted another person in any way physically, or stolen from another person, or may of never even committed any type of crime, except for using a drug.
And with being homeless, having stress and depression that often leads to those drug user abusing drugs, if they weren’t already, and then becoming addicted, now having to steal, let alone steal a tent to live in.
A lot of money is made when people are incarcerated.
And of course, those financial institutions that benefit from people going in and out of jail and prison, like the private prison industry, building prisons that tax payers are left to fund when the prisons are finally built,
are going to do what they can to keep people with any type of problem, including severe mental health, from getting the adequate help they need, that would keep them out of jail and prison, because after all, that corporation would lose money if those people could be contributing members of society.
And of course, drugs need to stay illegal because the American banks, who launder drug money, in the billions, for the Cartels in Mexico, would of fallen apart along time ago if it wasn’t for tax free illegal drug money. Other financial institutions benefit off people being punished and thrown in cages, because they invest in the prison industrial complex - the fastest growing industry in most states.
Also, the prison system creates a prison slave labor that makes things for American corporations, who take advantage of inmates. People in prison get paid 30, 20, 10 cents, or less, to make office chairs, school cafeteria food, and chips used in weaponry used by the military industrial complex.
And this has the consequence of American Corporations cutting more jobs, laying off more American workers, to invest in a cheaper labor force, found in American Prisons. And with more people out of work, poverty increases, and with more poverty comes more crime, and with more crime comes more arrests, and with more arrests more people to fill American jails and prisons, increasing the prison slave labor. Wow, capitalism is so great now isn’t it!
Capitalism teaches people to be about the bottom line, make a profit over everything and everyone else. Corporations are even bond by law to do so. So, if corporations help work to enslave people, so to create cheap labor, to make a bigger profit, then they will, and must, do so.
And corporations, to make a greater profit, will pay off politicians to pass harsher and harsher laws, as they are doing so now, that increase the likely hood of hurting society (not helping individuals by punishing those individuals,
who help make up society, keeping them from contribute to society, which would directly help society, which would decrease the likelihood of those individuals committing crimes after they get out of jail and prison). That is capitalism. That is why it is a totally fucked system! Communism is the polar opposite of capitalism, which is why Communism is totally not fucked.
When born into a communal society, where it’s about giving and helping, even if there is no immediate or long term personal benefit to the individual who is giving or help their fellow human being, except for knowing they’re helping their fellow human being, which is in their best interest, with the concept of what’s mine is your and what’s yours is mine, built into the individuals psyche from birth,

and invest so to make more money so to keep consuming more and keep on making as much money now and nothing else, taking, taking, as much as possible, even if it drains a person spiritually, wearing them down mentally, causing them never to be at peace because it seems that they can never find the time to obtain it. And the world becomes a bad place, with much suffering, when peace is hard to find.

Capitalism teaches people to be for self over everyone else. It teaches people to take, and take, and only give if they are given some type of reward in return. It’s not only just about helping those in need, it’s about “what can I get as a result?”

Society is corrupted because of capitalism. Why do you think we have a war on drugs, that keeps people, who are addicted and abusing drugs, who need and may want help, from getting the help they need; and thus keeps a high percentage of the population abusing drugs and being addicted to them. Many who are abusing drugs and addicted to drugs want help but don’t want imprisonment, which is why they try and do it alone, which is not easy.

When non violent drug users get a felony for minor drug possession or are given a felony and go into jail and prison, coming out with a messed up mental health, or hardened, and can’t get a job in the economic mainstream, they have to steal or commit some other crime to feed themselves. It’s only natural that people feed themselves. And it’s only natural that people will find some way to feed themselves, even if it means committing a crime.

Because of a felony, people are denied the right to live in a home, and become homeless as a result. After all, we can’t trust those felons, even though they may of never assaulted another person in any way physically, or stolen from another person, or may of never even committed any type of crime, except for using a drug.

And of course, drugs need to stay illegal because the American banks, who launder drug money, in the billions, for the Cartels in Mexico, would of fallen apart along time ago if it wasn’t for tax free illegal drug money. Other financial institutions benefit off people being punished and thrown in cages, because they invest in the prison industrial complex - the fastest growing industry in most states.

Also, the prison system creates a prison slave labor that makes things for American corporations, who take advantage of inmates. People in prison get paid 30, 20, 10 cents, or less, to make office chairs, school cafeteria food, and chips used in weaponry used by the military industrial complex.

these guys are starting to see what's wrong with the occupy program. I'm fine with mass protesting for what you believe but the thing is most of these people don't know what to believe. And when you have people protesting for something they don't understand or don't know enough about then you have utter chaos. Again, these are great things, but please know what you're fighting for when you go out to do this otherwise you end of with "Sh** getting stolen every night"

@photon1138 Totally agree but if I may add: I do think the guy with the black hat is cute (look at those lovable lips). Anyway, I cannot agree with this Occupy movement (anymore). I feel it turned more and more towards irrational, hallucinating and drug-infested world views. It departed from the laments about corporate greed and specific malpractices in the financial sector, which I feel it was about initially.
