@Gunblastdotcom would you zero it for a 100 yards even for driven boar hunts? also whats the minimum range that it would be bang on centre of the reticle at a 100 yards?
are you catching brass there or keeping them from hitting you in the face since you shoot left handed? I am a lefty shooter too and was just wondering
Catching brass. I don't have a problem with brass hitting me in the face, and brass flying out doesn't bother me at all. I think a lefty has an advantage with an AR because it's quicker for me to see and clear a jam.
@Gunblastdotcom That's a good point. It could be left on the low power setting for home defense and then taken up to higher magnification if necessary. I do like this scope a great deal. It seems to be perfect for the setup you're running. Plus, if it had to be pressed quickly into a defensive role, that scope combined with the .50 Beowulf cartridge would likely tip the scales significantly in your favor!
thanks for the picture of the scope reticle , Jeff , most sites dont show what the reticle looks like . i wont buy a scope , without seeing the reticle
Looking at the prices of the VX-R series, they seem very affordable. I've been looking for a decent scope for my AR (that I can afford) for coyote purposes, and the 3-9 version of this looks pretty darn good for the money.
@Gunblastdotcom Yes sir. I'm no expert but looking at the recoil from that rifle, I'm sure it has some good hawg/bear knockdown power even if they're charg'in at ya full speed cause they're pissed off.
Who made that brass catcher I like it

Yes I would. I do not understand the second question.

@Gunblastdotcom i mean if its zeroed for 100yards and your shooting a boar at lets say 40 or 50 would you still aim with the center of the crosshair?
NITEOWL22LR 6 months ago
Yes. There will be very little difference in the point of impact.

Thanks for the review would you say this can take the place of an Eotech, or just maybe fill in for it on a temporary basis?
avi614614 9 months ago
I would much rather have the VX-R than an Eotech. It is a lot more versatile, but can still fill the role of a dot scope.

Does the term "Pig Plex" help you shoot more accurately or did they just want you to have something to read while you are looking through the scope?

Really sweet rig Jeff. Be interested in the durability of the scope mounted on that rig. I haven't had a lot of luck with Leupys on hard kickers.
