oh yes 270! Got it. I've learned much through my actual hike. Like at first sit in camp I place water and fuel in the sun while I set up and allow the sun to warm both. Warm fuel and water heat quicker with less. I now wrap all the way around and never check flame because I know how much to use.
Very good my friend. I think pwargentina was asking about a 270° cover for the windshield. I made one (windshield) myself, and covers about everything - let's say about 320°, it lets you just the space to look if the flame is on. You have to keep it tight to the pot, but not too tight - space it about a couple of centimeters, just to let escape the gases from combustion.
I used this stove on my last trip to K2. wind blew it out over and over. I threw it over the cliff. my meal went super cold and I lost 4 fingers three toes and my left eyelid. this thing is fine for camping boyscouts but not ok at 24000 feet
Very Nice Video. The Simulated wind is a interesting factor. So is this a store bought stove or are you the designer of it?Seems to work well nice portable pot stand.
I recognized the music of Eric Johnson Trademark, very cool.
Thanks for posting! Is this a modified cat can stove? Any suggestions or advice for making my own? I was planing on following RRobinson's version. PCT or bust this spring!
Pretty nifty little stove...5 mins is a l-o-n-g time to wait for a cup of coffee, though. Put hey, if you are backpacking, this would work good. Why not sterno, though?

5 min was in the direct wind. In still air it's 3 min max. Sterno would only maintain and sterno, you would have to carry a bunch.
