@RootsinBrooklyn the answer to that question is "why not?" song titles are the least important part of the song, if you ask me. people focus way too much on titles, lyrics, and fluff. that's why people like Justin Bieber are so popular. but that's just me. on the other hand, there may be a really big reason they named it this, but i don't know it. no matter what the name of the song is, it still kicks ass.
I don't know man, I ran into No Doy, and Tin Cans and they blew my mind, then Headseed and Fatboy blew my mind, then Wormwood fucked my shit up, but The Conch take the cake. One of those albums that you look at a sick band and think that if this is their latest album, they still have another 20 years of really sick shit to come.
if i may ask, what computer game had moe. on it? if u like this tune you would like most of their live stuff, i followed these guys for almost a year after phish
I saw someone noticed a bit of Steely Dan's Reelin' in the Years during the riff... I have a video of moe. playing reelin' in the years at 10k Lakes posted... You can definitely hear it..
My father, whose favorite band is Steely Dan, and I, whose favorite band is moe., noticed this awhile ago as well. Not just "Reelin' in the Years," also just Steely Dan in general.

I love Rob's falsetto in this song. Falsetto can be done dreadfully or tastefully, with little space in between. Rob does the latter, thankfully.
