As an MSU fan, even I know that we are gonna have a tough year next year. Without Ringer, (the backbone of our offense this year) I highly doubt we will even have a winning season next year.
Nichol will be a sophomor for one thing and michigan's starter will be a true freshman. MSU returns 17 starters and bring in an All American to replace Ringer. MSU will have one of the top 2 defenses in the conference next season. michigan is losing 8 starters on defense so no they are not returning everyone. Plus mcguffie transfered to Rice.
Cousins will not start next season Nichol will. You also lose Harrison and it is yet to be seen what happens with Graham I dont know why I was thinking 8 though my bad. You also lose your starting tight end and there has been a lot of talk about Stonum and Mathews leaving. USC has 3 5 star runningbacks on their team there are some NFL teams that would be jealous of that so never compare your depth at RB to USC. MSU will win again next year get over it.

Unless I'm mistaken (which I very well could be becuase I havent watched much WVU football in my life) There was never a possesion reciever in RR's offense at WVU. Everyone that I can rmember from those teams were samll guys who could flat out fly.
The offense that will be run at Michigan is similar to WVU but not the exact same. Michigan is going to hopefully run a spread offense just like WVU with a much bigger passing attack. The only reason RR didnt pass the ball at WVU was because Pat White wasnt the greatest passer. Tate has already proven himself to be a better passer.
RR's system is a spread option not a west coast spread. There is a big difference. HE wanted Tate so bad becuasethe kid can move not because he can throw. You wont be seeing as west coast spread at michigan ever or else RR would be going after guys like Colt Brennan and Graham Harrell. The kind of offense michigan wants is where the QB runs with the ball a lot and they throw short passes hoping that their guys break a big run after it similar to what UF does.

And seeing as you wanted to bring up basketball we have won 20 out of the last 23 games the only times that michigan has been able to beat us in that time was with terrible officiating (Petway assaulting Ager in 2005 and not getting called for it the ref was right behind him when it happened) and when MSU has had guys playing injured(2002 Anderson and 2007 Nietzel)so you cant talk about basketball.

Nichol will be a sophomor for one thing and michigan's starter will be a true freshman. MSU returns 17 starters and bring in an All American to replace Ringer. MSU will have one of the top 2 defenses in the conference next season. michigan is losing 8 starters on defense so no they are not returning everyone. Plus mcguffie transfered to Rice.

Cousins will not start next season Nichol will. You also lose Harrison and it is yet to be seen what happens with Graham I dont know why I was thinking 8 though my bad. You also lose your starting tight end and there has been a lot of talk about Stonum and Mathews leaving. USC has 3 5 star runningbacks on their team there are some NFL teams that would be jealous of that so never compare your depth at RB to USC. MSU will win again next year get over it.

If you wanna compete with the USC's, UF, and Texases of College Football you can't just recruit the state of Michigan.
The talent in Michigan is not that great. Some years its good(this year it is), and others it aint so great.
We had a 3-9 record and RR still outrecruited MSU. What does that say about Mark's recruiting???/

For one thing most of MSU's class was commited before the season when people thought MSU wasnt special so yeah MD is one hell of a recruiter. Nobody left michigan to go to USC or any of the other schools you lsited they went to TTU Arkansas Arizona PSU Tulsa and a few others that I cant remember. ANd MD is selective about the guys he brings in. For example Criag Drummond wanted to enroll early but didnt have the grades so MD told him no RR would have brought him in for sure though.

The funny thing is that the only player in Michigan state's class that Michigan wanted was Norman. You didnt dominate instate recruiting.
RR would rather go to Florida anyday and get SEC speed rather than decent talent in Michigan

Umm no michigan wanted BAker Caper and Hammock as well. The only guy in michigan's class that MSU wanted was Campbell. The funny thing is that nobody in MSU's class wanted michigan when Teric Jones was devastated when MSU turned him down.

The difference between Michigan fans and MSU fans is that MSU fans jizz their pants over an 8-5 season; while we lament it as a terrible season. Let them get their criticism in now. We will see who's laughing at the end. Remember, Rich Rod went 3-9 his first year at WVU and built them into a national powerhouse. Nick Saban lost to UL-Monroe his first year at Alabama. Pete Carroll started 2-5 at USC. You can't keep us down for long.

RR will continue to out recruit Dantonio. It's fair to say that Dantonio can't recruit with RR. In 2010 RR will have his first class where he will be able to recruit the players from the start of the process, that class could possibly be the top class in the nation.

Ricardo Miller, Jackson, MRob, Lo Wood, Gardner, Hill, Gholston etc. Sparties won't get too many top recruits from the state in that class.

Gholston will pick MSU they are already his favorite and it will remain that way. Most of the guys you listed would not fit at MSU because they are spread offense guys. Plus why would anyone want to go to play for the disaster that is bitch rod? Out of you runningback list there is a total of 0 5 stars the only 5 star RB on michigan's team is Grady who will not be there next year so he shouldnt be on that list. Your argument is asinine.

Gholston may be a slight MSU lean at the moment but his recruit will play out for much more time.
Everyone that I listed besides Jackson and Miller are defensive recruits. Jackson and Miller are your prototypical pro-style wide reiever.

Maybe a lot of people have Fitz as a 5 star but those people arent experts now are they? I will go with what rivals says and not what some random person said. Its fine by me if michigan gets a bunch of guys without MSU offers. Bitch Rod looks at stats and thats it MD makes sure when he recruits that the player will fit his system and that the stats are not misleading. He ran a 5.32 and no I am not lying he was black jersey #462 and the 40from that player was 5.32. Cant wait to see that "burner" out on the field. You actually don't know what your talking about. Jeremy Jackson apparently ran a 5.32- some say he didnt run and it was a typo. Jackson is a possesion reciever, he doesn't need to have 4.4 speed anyways.

Umm no. The top two players in the state are Will Gohlston and Austin White. I will take what Allen Trieu says over what you say anyday. Spartan education is not something that I know anout becuase I'm not in college yet I went to the Army after highschool and dont plan on going to MSU either becuase they does not carry the major that I want. Gholston could very possibly be a top player in the state. IMO the top three is Miller, Gardner, and Gholston in any order. White is not a top 2 caliber player.

Unless I'm mistaken (which I very well could be becuase I havent watched much WVU football in my life) There was never a possesion reciever in RR's offense at WVU. Everyone that I can rmember from those teams were samll guys who could flat out fly.

The offense that will be run at Michigan is similar to WVU but not the exact same. Michigan is going to hopefully run a spread offense just like WVU with a much bigger passing attack. The only reason RR didnt pass the ball at WVU was because Pat White wasnt the greatest passer. Tate has already proven himself to be a better passer.

RR's system is a spread option not a west coast spread. There is a big difference. HE wanted Tate so bad becuasethe kid can move not because he can throw. You wont be seeing as west coast spread at michigan ever or else RR would be going after guys like Colt Brennan and Graham Harrell. The kind of offense michigan wants is where the QB runs with the ball a lot and they throw short passes hoping that their guys break a big run after it similar to what UF does.

No. Tate is a quarterback in a mold similar to Colt McCoy. He's got decent speed, not blazing fast, shiftiness, and can throw. Michigan is going to utilize the passing attack way more then WVU. Where do you get your information??? This stuff is garbage.

I get my information from watching games and recruit tapes. What proof do you have that UM will pass more than WVU? I took solid facts from what RR did at WVU and that is what I went with. You on the other hand are guessing at what will happen.

The only reason that WVU didn't pass the ball is because they had Pat White. Why do you think we keep recruiting stud recievers if were not gonna throw the ball down the field. If were just gonna run then we should just recruit linebackers and put them at reciever to block. That would make more sense but you probably don't understand

Pat White was one of the better QBs throwing at the senior bowl and the combine so I dont see where you are coming from saying he cant throw. I never said all a spread option team does is run I said they run with the QB and use short passes and then try to stretch the field with their speed.

I guess it's b/c MSU was lucky enough not having play App State or Toledo b/c honestly I don't think MSU will be guaranteed a victory.

what you just said makes no sense at all. toledo is rated second to last among all division 1 football teams. and the Spartans have beaten teams like Notre Dame and Northwestern this year.
So yeah, im pretty sure MSU can beat a lowly team like toledo and ASU. Go blue? thats cute. by the way, that was an embarrassing loss to UM last year. i don't know how we keep losing to them.
