  • Hillllll billlllly!

  • Since this video had nothing to do with a Volt but rather someone driving with no regard for the speed limit, you could have named it something more appropriate so as not to trick people into watching it.

  • Like it or not, everyone will be driving volt-like cars in the future. Most short sighted conservatives think there is enough oil to last until the sun burns out. Truth is, we have enough oil for 100 years at max.

  • for sure.... Tired of the liberal ignorance that has taken over this country. I have never seen so many duped, cant think for themselves, sheeple in my life. Daily I am shocked how FACTS are presented to the liberals and when they see the facts, they resort to name calling, attacks etc... One dude private messaged me and told me I was racist because I see right through Obama. Wouldnt even attack me in public. That was his only comeback for presenting facts... Typical liberal!!

  • The volt is the only reason I would support cash for clunkers. So I could get rid of it at a high price after it burst into flames. Buy me a real car, not a liberal, global warming lie machine!

  • @nicholascall12 feel free to stop by anytime you need to educate some idiots!

  • @deepfriedking for sure.... Tired of the liberal ignorance that has taken over this country. I have never seen so many duped, cant think for themselves, sheeple in my life. • Wow, it appears you've achieved speeds of up to 65mph. I'll alert the Daytona Speedway. They can contact your SuperCar to pace the 500 race today.

    ...loud does not equal fast.

  • @JarOfRats ..... so called green doesn't mean a good buy

  • @deepfriedking I guess subtlety didn't work... your car is loud, but accelerates slowly. The amount of time it took you to pass those cars indicates an extreme lack of horsepower. You should probably consider something like a Corvette or a Ferrari.

  • 1. there is a reason there are sound laws. i for one and i speak for many these loud vehicles are very obnoxious sounding. 2. the amount of fuel they use by teenagers and speed freaks is obsurd. 3. you endanger the saftey of everyone else on the road. 4. you drive up insurance rates for everone with careless driving. 5. as a result of all of these gas guzzlers the world oil supply has plumeted and now we are stuck with nearly 6.00 a gallon gasoline and global warming as a result. get a clue

  • @mysqueeker Let's not deal with clues, $6 gas is a result of OWEBAMA printing money to cover his $15 trillion in debt......Print money dilute the $ = inflation, Insurance rising because most cars today are over 20g and inflation, teenagers and speed freaks, how much fuel they use is none of your concern? Did you waste any eggs last week? Or a glass a milk? Mind your own business

  • @deepfriedking you obviously have no idea how the economy works. and no i did not waste any eggs, milk or any other food. and it is my concern how you use gas because your destroying states because of it. north dakota had the cleanest air in the country and ever since the oil boom here the air is just covered in this thick haze like fog. its disgusting, smelly, and has damaged farmland and contaminated the water supply in the process. so YES it is my concern.

  • @mysqueeker uh... if you did your homework, you would know that it damages the earth more to make these electric/hybrid cars than gasoline cars... but you wont listen to facts!! Liberals never do!!

  • @nicholascall12 Thanks for the help these fools have a picture of Al Gore on the cross at their homes! Anytime you need to rant on a liberal come to this page, the troll here 365 24/7 I post the facts and they stick their heads in the sand and keep screaming into the screen LOL

  • @mysqueeker Wrong again, our $ is tied to a barrel of oil, dilute our $ and a barrel of oil goes up, you then can add in the speculators etc. As for your issue with haze, water, land the oil industry is the most over regulated industry in the nation, I live on the gulf coast. We don't have a single issue with our oil industry why do you? The Volt will not change one thing, in fact we could all drive bikes and nothing will change, look around your home see any plastic? How bout that bottled water

  • @deepfriedking Obama is Obummer. he needs to be voted out of office. and also, Michelle Obama has to mind her own business, because she wants to ban giant Hershey's chocolate bars and ban everything we get. first lady Michelle Obummer=last failing lady trolololer to be in office?" The Government can give you everything and they will take everything you got." says Ronald Reagan.

  • @mysqueeker Hey, you get a clue. The liberal media and Obama, the tree huggers, Al Gore etc are liars. There is MORE oil in the world than we can use in 2000 years... Wake up you moron

  • @mysqueeker Also, did you know that 30% of the gas price is GOVERNMENT TAXES!! Also, funny how everyone BEAT UP President Bush when his price hit $3 a gallon, and now OBUMMER is at $4+ and no one is saying a word. When Obama took office gas was $1.67 a gallon. only 5 months later, $2.17. He said it himself, when he takes office "energy prices will necessarily skyrocket." Did you liberal morons listen to anything he said? NOPE!! Never do... Pull it out of your butts morons!

  • @nicholascall12 get your facts straight. last time gas was 1.67 a gallon was early 2003

  • @mysqueeker Sorry... you are right... It was $1.79 a gallon under the "EVIL GEORGE BUSH" when Obama took office. My bad!! 5 months after the MOTUS took office it was $2.26 a gallon. Now... it is $3.53 avg. So tell me, which number is better.... hmmm...More FACTS.... When Obama took office, the average American was spending $959 a year on gas. NOW, UNDER OBAMMER, $3200 a year (based on $6 gallon gas in florida)!!..... (cont)

  • @mysqueeker Remember back in 2007, when Nancy Pelosi said that $3.07 set a record and that drivers are paying a heavy price to the Bush administration and the dependence on FOREIGN OIL and he should be punished? Yet NO ONE SAYS ANYTHING when Obama does the same thing BUT WORSE!! If not, I can show you proof!! (cont)...

  • @mysqueeker Obama shut down the keystone pipeline permit because of a supposed missed deadline, preferred gas prices to rise gradually etc. Shut down gulf drilling, watched the economy toil as he refused permits to allow drilling to restart. This from a guy who keeps saying he will by pass congress on everything, but wont when it comes the pipeline? So don’t tell me the President cant do anything. Right now, he is doing everything he can to shut down our dependence on the foreign oil. (cont)...

  • @mysqueeker Don’t be an ignorant moron more than you already are!! The volt is another government waste, just like Obama is!! Quit getting your news from Bill Mahr. SO tell me... Where are you getting your facts??? IDIOT!!

  • @mysqueeker news investors com article 602120 201202231855 obama-high-gas-price-myths htm

  • @nicholascall12 gas was around 3.67 a gallon by the end of the bush term and stayed around the same with obama up until the speculators started doing their thing driving the price up. the president has no control over the world oil market or the speculators in it. but me telling this to you goes on deaf ears because your all obviously to ignorant to understand how the economy works. i guess you failed highschool economics too.

  • UR a dickhead!

  • @petertwoo Tell your 4th grade teacher hello for me

  • Maybe you'll change your mind when there's no more gas to put in your car....

  • @Zoowey07 When that happens there will be nothing to power the power grid so it will be the least of my worries

  • lol at least put up a real video...

  • I fell ya bro, but Dodge :-/ I'll stick to my 10mpg 540 horse power supercharged FORD Mustang Roush 427r

  • @ssgtd6152 I can roll with that, just leave these toy cars on the side of the road looking for an outlet

  • @deepfriedking More often then not, they're leaving you on the side of the road looking for a fuel pump.

  • This just might be the most idiotic video on the entire internet!

  • @ShagBaby I get that a lot, but Volts sound good to deaf people

  • Try that with a Tesla Roadster... youtube.com/watch?v=OxveY1R2pws&feature=related

  • @utahjag My truck 18g Tesla 50g plus, hmmmm I can pull a boat, and carry six people, in fact with the money I save buy not buying a Tesla I can buy another Truck and boat! Batteries are for golf carts

  • @deepfriedking Well you're just another child left behind. These are the kind of guys who pretend to be patriots, and then hand their money to Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. Classis GOPer.

  • @bellaggio1770 yup i agree. support the terrorists by paying them for their gasoline. way to go lead footed ppl. i prefer to spend as little money at the pump as humanly possible.

  • @bellaggio1770 I am a GOPer, and I SAY DRILL HERE, DRILL NOW, AND PAY LESS !!! to hell with the middle east, we have more oil here than they do !!!

  • why should i trust an over priced electric car made by "chevy" when they fail miserably at simple gasoline powered cars.

  • Pie-in-the-sky junk like this has SCAM-ON-THE-TAXPAYER written all over it every time. The car was already overpriced at $41,000, just like the Prius. It is NOT cost-effective as compared to a typical gasoline powered combustion engine that gets 40-MPG and only costs $15,000 to $23,000. You would have to drive one of these Volts (or Prius) for 12 years or more to realize the break-even point vs. just buying a $16,000 Toyota 4-cylinder that gets 40-MPG. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA VOLT IS A JOKE!!

  • Well, you just showed me why you shouldn't be allowed to drive any car.

I own 2 cars and a pickup, one is a Volt and I love it. My dealer is having a hard time getting them in, I had to wait 40 days on mine.

  • @Oldone11 the volt is a junk car , GM should pay back the money it owes the taxpayers !!!

  • @karp1941

I will agree that GM should pay their debt, however the Volt is a wonderful car that is well made. It works just as advertised and I love mine and so does every other person that owns one. Your pff the wall statements says you have absolutely no knowledge about them.

  • @Oldone11 I am mad because my tax dollars helped buy your car !!!! , did yours catch on fire yet ???

  • @karp1941

Hmmm, you'll get over it. Mine and your tax dollars help pay for those foul, polluting gas guzzlers. that doesn't make me feel too good! Electric and hybrid technology is in its infancy and is not mass-produce enough to make it cheap yet. i have over 3000 mile on mine and have not bought one gallon of gasoline - all short trips. i also have solar collectors on my house and don't have to pay 450 a month to the electric company.

  • @Oldone11

You can take heart though, every petroleum lobbyist is fighting this technology with every nickel they can spare. So is the automobile industry.

  • @Oldone11 when you charge your precious volt , the power came from a coal fired power plant , so in reality your volt runs on COAL !!!!

  • @karp1941

Sorry, I am not connected to the grid--strickly solar and wind

  • @Oldone11

OH yes, the Augusta power plant is Nuclear

  • @karp1941 actually here in north dakota my power company gets their power from wind generators so no it does not come from COAL.

  • Funny, here's a bonehead in love with a bailout company owned by Fiat!

  • @Mrphatbastard1 I love no auto companies, they are just companies nothing more

  • What a Dumb video. I'll bet you don't own a computer. This video was probably uploaded on your friends computer. Sad.....

  • @Eugene9077 Not as sad as your political views, I love people that make decisions based on feelings instead of facts, you put money in everyone's pocket, so easily manipulated and controlled. You believe because you feel it's right that it is right, not that maybe GM has a fantastic sales pitch and advertising machine going that would truly confuse your mind with the extent of it. buy a volt you now have to maintain the gas engine and buy and very expensive battery when you paid loan off!!

  • The future: Engineers at M.I.T. developed an L.I. batt. that recharges in 10 seconds & may have up to 100 times the capacity of today's batteries. Lots of work to do, but they predict EV's will have more than a 1,000 mi. range & will recharge in 10 minutes while parked in special, wireless charging stalls. Too much money to be made. Venture capitalists are the oil co.'s worst enemy. They will take it from the Oil barons and put it in their own pockets.

  • nyuk, nyuk. He used more gas in the first 1/10 of a second than I used all of December & January. I would love to see his gas bill! He spends his money going super fast on the streets. I just bought a 70 in. Sharp TV with the money I've saved!

  • @ra5928 When you go to sell your used Volt let me know how that goes, depreciation is outrageous and when you pick up a new battery pack, let me know how much money you saved lol

  • @deepfriedking Per Kelly Blue Book, Volt will hold value better than all EV's or hybrids. My battery pack is warrantied 100,000 mi. / 8 years. Other LI EV's batteries have lasted over 200,000. I drove 2 Cads 17 yrs. ea. & sold them showroom new, for 2 X KBB. In 8 years, the battery will deplete about 20% per history. Batteries will be better/cheaper. Will I buy a $5,000 item that will recoup in 2 1/2 yrs? U bet! Why? 3 gas visits per year!

  • @ra5928 Volt may hold better value then other EV'S but that doesn't change the fact that kelly bluebook also states value will be $17000 in 3 years, you must be a politician and only use the information that helps your point, 100,000 miles around here is 3.5 years, No batteries will be cheaper in the future, NONE see any batteries going down in price at Walmart? They are built with raw materials not gonna happen. If you only drive the amount you do, your not a real world model for the autos

  • @deepfriedking 3.5 years? 28,571 mi.'s per year? Census sez 13,147 is national average. You're right, I don't drive that much. If I did, my savings would $1,900 per year after charging costs.

  • @ra5928 Then factor in battery replacement, there are no aftermarket batteries to pull down prices, it won't a happen, you have to factor that in to the cost of MPG. I will say the Volt may work for you but it is a total joke for me and the area I live

  • @deepfriedking As of 1/12/12, the energy companies cut drilling for natural gas by 50% & will cut back more if needed. Too much on hand/too cheap. They will do the same for oil. They just want a gov. that will kow kow to them. They really don't want to drill any more than they are. You would see them cut back on oil also. They manipulate prices to make themselves rich. I refuse to kow kow to them. U have the right to do what you want. Were it not for them, I would buy a GTM supercar.

  • @ra5928 Why hate the oil industry? You obviously don't understand it, and use information pulled from the liberal media that has an agenda to demonize the oil industry like they are doing this to prices? I would have nothing to do with Obama's energy plans or none plans would it, no drilling here, or pipelines etc. Or the regulations that have be set up that have to be worked into the cost of oil and gas? Meanwhile China is drilling off the coast of florida in Cuba be we can't?

  • @deepfriedking So so so many things wrong with what you've said in this post alone. Obviously YOU don't understand the oil industry and the greed involved. People dismiss Obama's energy plans without even realizing what they are, you sound like the type. Read a non-biased article for once and think for yourself twat. Oh an just because China is doing it means we should do it also... boo fucking hoo moron, thats like being racist because your neighbor is too. Still wrong you fuck

  • @utrvg4 Not wrong, OWEBAMA has no energy plan except to hamstring the oil industry itself, unless your drilling in Brazil then that's ok with him, greed, greed? making money is what companies do, you wanna see greed look at the auto industry and how the governments regulations artificially elevate prices. The problem with believing in dreams is at some time you wake up and must face reality, OWEBAMA's energy plan? No jobs, No money, No need to buy gas or electric 9% unemployed OMG!

  • @deepfriedking You racist fuck. I'll bet you blame the president for everything in your life that goes wrong. Why don't you think before you comment. I know what you could do, go watch Fox News (Fake News). Moron !!!!!!!!

  • @Eugene9077 Racist? I see you have out your socialist talking points given to you from the Democratic party, Jr your dream of hope and change doesn't work in the real world. OWEBAMA is a crack head, he wants to blame everyone else but himself. The only green thing he has produced is money off the printing presses to pay for his 15 trillion in debt. By the way that takes green out of mine and your pocket because of inflation. Faux news is another middle left news outlet don't fool yourself OWSlol

  • @Eugene9077 you don't have to watch fox news to know the volt is an over-priced PINTO !!!!

  • @ra5928 You want to hate on an industry hate the Auto companies they have managed to screw the american public out of cheap transportation since the beginning, you can buy cheaper higher mpg cars overseas but not here, and they make them! You can buy small cars in Japan and India for under 10g just as reliable etc but you continue to kow kow to them? Send me $100 bucks when you sell or buy a battery, and have made any money on the Volt. You bought a system and it's broken.

  • I had forgotten how bad petrol engines sound when pushed.

I could not even hear the indicator when changing lane.

  • @Ecoenergy I guess you will push for a noise pollution tax next

  • The sound of money exploding.

  • @AshtonPhoto That's just the sound of money!

  • What is this video showing? are you proud of a lot of noise? Or are you trying to highlight your acceleration? If so, what are you saying, your car made for speed can beat a family "go to the supermarket" car? Why dont you try to drag race vs a Tesla, any model and you will see how futile all that noise is.

  • @KevinHarper3DArtist What i'm saying and you obviously have never driven a muscle car. Driving is an experience not just a routine to a lot of people the volt is basic transportation sold as some type of green messiah for the price of a top line sports car. It's garbage dealers don't even want it, resale kelly bluebook is 17g in 3 years. By the way Tesla are garbage to, no one can afford it. Electric with a back up engine is a golf cart with a lawnmower engine to charge the batteries, Detroit xx

  • @deepfriedking so let me get this straight.. your an american who drives a car just for the sound of it. well i'd like to see you get your car around the streets of the UK with its many turny roads and deadly steep up hills. trust me you think your car is loud and powerful try what my dad drives (Rover 75, fully reinforced) if my dads car hit your car at the speed you were doing in a head on collision, my dads car would easily win, as lorries have been written off due to it.

  • @Gaslydeath No I'm a Texan that believes and knows climate change, global warming is all Bullshit, its a marketing scheme to bring on a carbon Tax something you fools across the pond seem to love. I drive a dodge truck quad cab with a v-8. I could buy two of these for the price of one Volt, Dealers won't even except the Volt from the factories, read all the comments below and learn that you need to wake up and smell the reality of the lies you believe. The Volt, Leaf and all electric cars suck

  • @deepfriedking well good job i'm going to build my own then isn't it.. and also climate change, believe it or not, is actually real. we've had low clouds here since christmas, and when you go outside now its -15 degrees C and you can't see far past your hands. last year about the same time it was clear and 5 degrees C.. so tell me if this isn't climate change

  • @Gaslydeath When you don't have a winter call me, When the vikings move back onto greenland and colonize it, call me, by the way they lived there 400 years ago when it was WARMER! think they had a problem with it being WARMER NO! Remember the CFC issue about the OZONE HOLE? probably don't another scam! Wake up nothing happens unless it's a move for money! Open your eyes and quit making decisions on how they have made you feel! Wanna see pollution, type in manual scavenging in India, then wakeup

  • @deepfriedking meh guess your right but still i'm making an electric car.. for one major reason. not for the environment but for the saving of money, i'm going to attempt something no one else has ever tried doing. may be risky to do but meh so long as it involves high power out put i'm not assed (power out put should roughly be about the same as a thunderstorm). and for the battery i'm going to attempt to attach, it will need it.

  • @Gaslydeath I wish you the best of luck and success on building whatever you set out to do. An electric auto makes sense for a certain price, distance, conditions etc. The current electric auto's do nothing well. To high a cost, no resale value, distance is a joke on a true electric car. Not to mention you have to replace the main battery and get this still maintain the gas engine. Add those costs in and it's finished, Smart money sticks with an econobox diesel with high mpg

  • @Gaslydeath

    Wha...???

My dear fellow, the world gets warmer and colder and it does so all on its own.

Do a Google search for 'frost fairs' and tell us all what you find.

  • @AshtonPhoto no can do. High danger zones out side, the frost was bad now its worse, literally the rain which came today was touching the ground and freezing on contact, one of my friends went out there for about 5 maybe 10 seconds and came back in with icicles all over his body, tomorrow is going to be either a deadly day or a fun day, all i know is that the temperature here is so cold i have all heating turned on and its not heating up the house, on top of that most vehicles are frozen solid

  • @Gaslydeath

Actually, I meant the frost fares they held on the Thames.

From about 1400 to the early 1800s the river would freeze solid in the winter, and the locals would have a blast skating and partying on the ice.

Then the world got warmer, and it did so all by itself.

That was all I wanted to say.

Oh, also, how about this: Get a car fitted with LPG. It's cheaper and no fumes.

Or build a range extended EV with a little LPG engine to charge it as you go!!

  • @AshtonPhoto because some LPGs come with filters which have been known to have dangerous toxic fumes coming out of them. which have been classed as worse than car fumes. but meh still i'm going to try something different.. something which should give the electric engine i'm going to use a bit of an edge, besides that need it because now everywhere where i live is either frozen, destroyed by dangerous storms or lit up by electrical storms. none of which are fun

  • @Gaslydeath

My kid brother has a beemer which was converted. If he fills both the LPG tank and petrol tank he can go 700 miles. The fumes thing isn't a concern, it does have to pass an MOT.

Where are you in the UK?

  • @AshtonPhoto north west near manchester.. but where i live there are many many hills and many places to get electric motor parts and places to build frames. however to find the guys to build the frames it means walking through all the little shitty gang territories to the far side on the out skirts of town where theres some people to build the stuff.. but meh i have ways through. one being a dangerous path and the other being a suit i'm gonna make. probably the last one i'll wear.

  • @Gaslydeath over here taking on a small gang means about 10 - 20 people.. but where i live the small gang is about 500 - 1000 people.. heres hoping i can get some help..

  • Nice light saber, oh wait, that's a dislike bar!

  • @Deanzsyclone Can't help that, sometimes the truth hurts, When your own dealers won't order your product to distribute, Can we say, Detroit we have a problem! Chevy runs deep into the red!

  • @deepfriedking 90% of your dislikes are people that already know that what you quoted was an over zealous media report, while one is not taking orders others are sold out, like our local dealer. But they didn't bother to mention the other half of the story now did they.

  • @Deanzsyclone I don't care about the dislikes or likes, It's not hard to be sold out of one unit of product. The car is a looser, electric is a looser, VW makes a diesel that gets 45 to 55mpg, All auto companies have diesels, just not here, the market is being manipulated, why don't they give us a 3 cylinder diesel? Why can't we buy the $3000 NANO from India? Government regulations are killing us and making us spend money we should not have to. Think airbags are for safety? Pop all new car time

  • @deepfriedking This may be the dumbest comment Ive ever seen. You are the poster-child for pro abortion. Who the ^(&*@ wants a $3000 anything from anywhere, let alone India? Are diesels cool and efficient, yes. Of course they are. Are electric cars a "loser", no. You sir, should have your family whacked and you be beaten with a bull whip. I bet you are from Texas, right?

  • @johnbrowntesla Why? If I buy a $3000 motorcycle you don't care so why would you care if I buy a $3000 TaTa Nano? Makes sense to me, no car note, high mpg, seats 5? Why not? You still are programmed to believe unless it says GM, Ford, on the car it's the best, sorry Jr. They said the same thing about Toyota, and Nissan back in the 70's Wake up India's Mfg. is just as good as ours so is China's by the way TATA OWNS LAND ROVER SO DEAL WITH IT! Big world I suggest you really investigate it. Fool

  • DOVER, Del. (AP) — Fisker Automotive, an electric car maker that received a half-billion-dollar loan from the federal government, said Monday that it has laid off workers in Delaware and California. OBOZO LOST ANOTHER FEW BILLION ON THIS ONE TO, MUST BE NICE TO WASTE MONEY YOU DIDN'T EARN, KEEP DREAMING ELECTRIC TOOTBRUSHES YES, CARS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT SO MUCH IF YOU WANT SOMETHING GREEN BUY SOME GREEN SPRAY PAINT!!!!

  • breitbart tv/eric-bolling-tests-chevy-volt-runs-out-of-juice-in-lincoln-tunnel

No juice means no go lmao

  • Dodge and Ford ftw! nice engine note, challenger?

  • @crazymanpictures13 The moster Caddie I wish I had the Challenger!

  • sound awesome

  • green autoblog com 2011 05 17 kbb-sets-chevy-volt-resale-value-at-17-000-after-36-months

Oh it must be hell when the so called free market speaks with it's wallet, Depreciation is one thing when buying a new car, but 2/3 drop in value this boat anchor called the volt will be at $5 in value just in time for a 10g battery replacement. Yip another OBOZO PLAN Guess his Caddie or Canadian bus get better MPG. Keep drinking that KOOL-AID SUCKERS!! OBOZO NEEDS MORE SHEEPLE TO SERVE HIM!

  • DAMN DAWG COOL VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @osp80 Thanks these pinheads in the comment box don't really care for it though!

  • This is retarded. A car is for transportation and if you are that emotionally invested in a piece of metal that costs you hundreds of dollars in maintenance and fuel at a time when most people like you have recently found that their retirement options are nonexistent, you have a very small penis that you are making up for.

  • @macofdeath Another useless use of space, it's not even a comment, I have no emotional attachment to a car or truck. I do love to keep my money and get what I pay for, the volt you get less but pay more, and after 4 years you pay even more because you have to replace the 10 grand worth of batteries, Buy one if you like but your not saving the planet or money by doing so, and I suggest you read something other then greenpeace propaganda, this would open your eyes to the facts, have a nice day

  • @deepfriedking Sure your video there is basically a "hey look i'm a big man because i'm driving a piece of plastic and metal" so sure. Trust me when I say that the best feeling in the world is when you pass the gas station by because you don't need to buy that oil from the middle east. Get over yourself.

  • @macofdeath Say that when you replace a battery pack, Honda just lost a lawsuit for their hybrid on their MPG being false. Electric is not the answer, you have bought into a marketing scheme and don't even realize it. VW. TDI diesel get 45mpg to 55mpg and they have them in trucks in Argentina why are they not here? There is a jeep in Egypt that is diesel, why not here? Marketing that's why, profit margins, everything has to do with making money, have fun trading in your used Volt

  • @deepfriedking Couple of things: 1. The Honda was a full hybrid, not a vehicle that you could plug into a wall socket and never use a drop of gar for. Little bit of a difference.

    2. Electric is the answer, especially if you have PV solar on your house.

    3. The batteries are warrantied.

Get over it. You are a dinosaur and that's nothing to be proud of.

  • @macofdeath No one has solar on there house and if they do they are about 1 in 500,000 and it's only a supplement, Warrantied to a certain mileage. Electric isn't the answer and never will be, unless you need a golf to zip around the neighborhood and get groceries. By the way wind turbines are major bird killers, check that out while your trying to find one factual thing about the volt. You've bought a marketing scheme deal with it while you pay your taxes on carbon credits!! understand

  • @deepfriedking Chevrolet Volt batteries are warrantied to 8 years or 100,000 miles and covers all components of the battery system. How long do you intend to keep your vehicle? Most Americans do not keep them for 8 years. Check out this link concerning an off grid (meaning cut off from utilities completely, in case you don't know what that means) solar system for charging the electric vehicle: h__p://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread.php?6660-Off-Grid-Solar-System-for-charging-a-Volt.

  • @macofdeath 100,000 miles is the norm in 4 years around here if your lucky. Off grid is a doomsday preppers term, You can count on one hand people that are off grid not a realistic source of power. I keep my trucks until they die, I then have them towed to the scrap yard and make $350 cash for steel weight. Current truck is 8yrs last one went 14 not to mention my other cars. By the way dealers are refusing delivery of the Volt electric autos have been around for 100yrs and never will work

  • @deepfriedking For the savings that an electric vehicle would bring, over time, I would gladly front the extra 8 or 10 thousand to replace the batteries after 8 years of use. Another thing, I'm sure that you are too simple to get that oil dependence, whether it is foreign OR domestic is a national security weakness, and you probably thought that Iraq was all about 9/11, not about oil, but, again, your kind are dinosaurs-not something you should be proud of there freedom fries!

  • @deepfriedking Solar is the answer, in the right setting. Plasmonics may be the future in solar. Even with today's standards, people in very hot areas get good results. I have a relative in the Stockton, CA area who's solar paid for itself in 7 years. Their bill was over $400 a month. This is why. 1 hour of the suns rays can provide power to every home in the world for 24 hours. Too much money waiting to happen. Venture investors are licking their chops. But I don't need solar either.

  • detroi tnews com article 20120201 AUTO01 202010410 1148 AUTO01 Volt-sales fall January wake up no one wants electric and never has except the government

  • @deepfriedking YOU ARE A BULLSHIT, YOU BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @RichardJoash Guess what I love diesel trucks!!! they rock and make sense to own, owning a golf cart with a lawnmower engine to charge the batteries is useless to 99% of the americans I know, and the sales data proves my point!!! In fact dealers are refusing to order the Volt cause it's useless scrap metal

  • @deepfriedking "Guess what I love diesel trucks!!! they rock and make sense to own, owning a golf cart with a lawnmower engine to charge the batteries is useless to 99% of the americans I know, and the sales data proves my point!!! It means, you are a bullshit!

  • @deepfriedking I can afford a "Tesla Model S" which starts at $49k . Its their second car. It hits the streets in 6 months (7/1/2012). I've been Saving for it for 2 years.

    It seats 7 :p

  • Comment removed

  • The Tesla Model S is faster than that noisy old heap of junk & you don't have to shift gears.

  • @DarthNefatious But you and I cannot afford a Tesla and even if we could we wouldn't buy an ELECTRIC POS!

  • The word is spelled faggot.

  • Wow you would think with all that noise you would have been accelerating faster than you were. What a stupid video lol.

  • @d0x360 Still sounds better then the POS VOLT

  • Get an Opel Ampera faget

  • @RandomPrussian1871 Opel, I think not

  • You call that "speed"? Much slower than a Space Shuttle.

Or do you mean the ear-destroying noise?

  • @klettermaxin The noise is a caddy engine which sounds better then the volts lawnmower engine and cordless drill sound effects

  • @klettermaxin "Much slower then a space shuttle." No shit Sherlock, there aren't a whole lot of things that aren't.

  • So I'm confused by this?......why don't you like the Volt?

Keep your Slowmaro in the garage for your fun days. Buy electric for daily driving. Who knows?.....if you drive electric long enough, you might be able to afford upgrading to a real car like a Vette for your fun days.

  • @frambesbuckeye I'd upgrade to a 4x4 crew cab dodge ram power wagon, the car is only on the market because the government has regulated it into existence. The market didn't do it. The car makes no sense and if you check no one is buying it or will buy it, you don't pay more for less and we still haven't seen people start to replace the battery packs yet so the true cost to own is only one thing a major cost. Its garbage so is the Leaf, they should cost 5 g at most for the loss of funtion and dis

  • @deepfriedking Yes...no demand...that's why they are constantly and more widely being produced. Yes, they make no sense at all...I mean who would honestly want to pay $5-20 in travel costs as opposed to the $40-60 we pay now...get the fuck out of here. The battery packs will cost money..but those battery packs last forever and they sure as hell will be a HELL OF A LOT LESS than what you would pay in fuel costs. What loss of function does the Volt have?..it still has a gas engine you moron lol.

  • @deepfriedking I'd own one if I still had my old work truck. I mean zero gas spent going around town rather than getting literally 5mpg? sold!

  • @frambesbuckeye "slowmaro" LOVE IT...that's my word of the day! Teehee!

  • @frambesbuckeye pfft even the nissan leaf is better than that I will only buy nissans forever!

  • @brentseay Read the description fool hahahaha why did you pull your comment??

  • Why are so many people's comments missing words?

  • @scottkan357975343 Only allowed so many letters and people are passionate about their environmental save the earth, global warming, climate change false religion. It is hard to spread lies in only a few words so there you go

  • Slow compared to my 2010 Camaro SS tuned by Tom Henry. But you can only dig that so much, then I get in my Volt.

  • @DCFusor So how long have you been diagnosed with bipolar disorder :}

  • Fastest volt ever!!!!

  • @LoveMyAcuraLegend Not even a volt lmao. He's driving a Dodge Dakota. Pussy needs to sell that shit and buy a ram.

  • soo what car was in the vid?

  • @WhiteRSCamaro The truck is my dodge Dakota the sound is from a Caddie lmao

  • @deepfriedking Don't you EVER disrespect Cadillac like that again.

The title should have been - Why I will never drive a Chevy Volt: Because I'm too busy playing Need for speed and applying sound effects from that game to a real world backround.

  • @caddyman07 Actually that is a real Caddie engine, Caddie was doing a 1/4 mile drag, sounds good doesn't it! Oh get your heart pills Caddie is going all electric in 2015

  • @Dillon1108 Have you ever heard of the Ev1?.... it does not require fossil fuels but was crushed by GM and big oil. Even if Electricity is generated from coal, the environmental effects of using an electric based car are significantly less that that of a car that runs on gas, or even gas and electricity, something the retard in this video apparently doesn't understand.

  • electric vehicles still require fossil fuels to run. unless the charging station has solar panels on the roof. (most electric powerplants burn coal to produce electricity)

  • yeah man ...burn that oil .... your grandchildren will you for this

  • @kiawase Chinese don't have an issue with burning oil in fact they are drilling in Cuba for it but we can't drill 90miles north in Florida? I see a problem with that

  • @kiawase damn environmentalist, get a life

  • The technology for 100 mpg modified engines has existed for nearly 60 years. If theirs no money to be made, the government won't allow the consumer to benefit from technological advances in design.

  • Wonder if I could rig my trolling motor to a volt battery.........

  • Deepfriedking I'd love to see your muscle car in a quarter mile race against a Tesla Roadster (all electric car). Ya, the Roadster isn't a Volt, but the Volt isn't a muscle car either.

For your info, your Dodge would lose badly to the Roadster. An all-electric car's torque, apples to apples, will always squash an oil burner.

A diesel locomotive - huge power - has more in common with the Volt than your Dodge - all electric drivetrain! The Diesel just powers a generator, kinda like the volt.

  • @DDDDanDDDD Understood, you get what you pay for but not when you buy a Volt or Leaf

  • @deepfriedking I beg to differ. The Volt offers consumers a choice of what energy they use to power their vehicle - electric from coal, nuclear, wind, solar, hydro, or the rendered fat of a loved one burned in a diesel generator.

These choices are not so easy to apply to a Dodge, or other typical gas cars.

If the SHTF and oil hits $10/gal, a Volt would be very economical to own. For some, this flexibility and more predictable operating cost going forward is priceless.

  • @DDDDanDDDD No it doesn't all those power sources are sent onto the electric grid, if you charge the batteries with the grid its whatever the electric company uses, or the gas motor itself charges the batteries, the Volt is not an innovation, with innovation you get more for less the volt gives you less for more, I have some old cell phones if you wan to buy them.

  • @deepfriedking You can specify where your electrical energy comes from in many parts of the USA - the power company default, or a renewable source like wind and solar. Also, you are not obligated to use 'the grid', and can generate power however you'd like and sell it back. Distributed power generation is an interesting and growing industry.

Being able to choose between gasoline and other power sources is very innovative, which started with GM back with the EV1.

  • @DDDDanDDDD OMG, 3 wires come to your house two hot wires and a neutral, all electrical power goes to the grid, You can pick the energy company you want but this does not mean the electricity you use is wind, solar or coal that works itself out in the billing systems. I'd like to burn natural gas in my car like they do in Iran, or have a diesel like in Europe or maybe I'd love to have a TaTa Nano but regulations have pushed this garbage on us. They have half ton diesels trucks in South America
