  • hi call me

  • hi

  • Just went to see the movie "the Lady", almost cried my eyes out. I always admired her, now I ADORE her! It's time for Suu, and for Burma!

  • @mohasi3 If you only knew her real agenda you would not admire her. It is Senior General Than Shwe that has stabilized Myanmar. Aung San Suu Kyi would bring all the ailments of decadence to our country under the guise of Democracy. She is wiling to sell her country to foreign corporations that are greedily warming their palms for a piece of Myanmar.

  • I love her, she is truly an inspiration!

  • Aung San Suu Kyi caused not only her own risk, but for many, many innocent people else.

The crowd clapping their hands for her blindly. The crowd just cheering by Myanmar is the greatest glory of her father, General Aung San. In fact, Aung San Suu Kyi is an Demon Mother.

  • I love her ! x

  • thanks im gunna get a a+ on my assignment <3

  • thanks im gunna get a a+ on my assingment <3

  • hi

  • i like the woman she would make a great leader but wen it come to fighting she is useless as hell in a region where gun bullet determine power she msut do same thing as mao ho washintond lenin castro did but bring democracy

  • To the world, this is the real Mother Of Burma.

  • Yeah, she is free now. How about Bradley Manning? He told facts about our war selling US military elites. Why should we imprison our boy who told truths?

  • I have a bit love on her. If her cooking were perfect, I would love her too much. Many of the Myanmar poor people are facing many kinds of Hell, because of her. Many of the Myanmar poor people were became the Herb which is there between the two Bulls.

  • I have a bit love on her. But, if she could change our country, I would love her too much. Many of the poor Myanma people are facing many kind of hell because of Awng San Suh Cii. Many of the poor Myanmar people have been became the Herb which is there between the two Bulls.

  • Aung San Suu Kyi is awesome such a strong woman

a freedom fighter she deserves winning the nobel prize in 1991

Aung San Suu Kyi the real president of Birma!!! We love her greetings from Germany

  • @Feuerbach92 The real president of MYANMAR is Senior General Than Shwe! Aung San Suu Kyi is a sell out to the West much like her father was.

  • Dear Friends, this strikes a chord with me. There were two great brave women in my family: my grandmother and my mother. In the town centre, in the Italian Alps, was the Headquarters of the German Armies in Italy; just above, in the forest, was my grandmother and mother house, the Headquarters of the Resistance (my uncle was a concentration camp survivor). In the last part of the war, they were wanted by the Nazis and Fascists, and they had a narrow escape.

  • WE LOVE YOU DEAR AUNG SAN SUU KYI !

  • Diablo Mercy

She has done so many good things for Burma, that I can't even name them.

I personally am horrified that you would actually say that. Besides all the physical things she has done for this country like, being house arrested for god knows how long and not being there for her husband dying, she has given millions of people hope for Burma. I am from Burma, and I am determined to follow in her footsteps and do everything I can for Burma to be a democratic country. I bet you aren't.

  • the 7 dislikers do not have democracy in their hearts.

  • none are free till all are free

  • No real democracy exists... at South East Asia. She had to cooperate with the Junta to save the Burmese people. She had no choices..Burmese don't need Western or China power to develop like its neighbors.....

  • @DiabloMercy the fuck is wrong with you...

  • She is the greatest person alive in Burma. If you don't know you are the biggest crap not only on the earth but also on the universe. You can joy to hell ASAP..

  • @okkalather In Burma? She is one of the greatest in the world. She belongs to the same table as Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa.... she sacrificed a very comfortable life for her country. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi what can one say to you?

  • Yes, with you in spirit ..and now song.

  • milf

  • Thank you for uploading this video. I cry tears all the way from New York City. God Bless this brave woman.

  • Thank you very much for uploading this wonderful video!

  • @elfornse In an earlier comment you said “As for education, I want people to undergo..” This is why we cannot allow disenchanted people like you to dictate the will of the people. You falsely propagate freedom but, ignore the fallout of social & economic collapse. With no currency –people would be forced to bartering. Crime would either go unpunished or dealt by mob-rule. Organised crime would fill the void. Being an anarchist makes you an anti-captialist & that makes you a fascist.Heil Hitler!

  • Comment removed

  • @elfornse Please don't take this personally but, you're an idiot to think you can dictate other people's education. This is why democracy is so critical - so people with an agenda like yourself can't infringe on the basic human rights of others. You have an unfounded hatred of government(s) but, if it wasn't for such; the economy would collapse, our defence forces abolished, millions would lose their jobs and organised crime would rein. Thankyou for this insight into anarchy but, no thanks.

  • @elfornse So, Extortion, Robbery & Thieving is your perception of Australians paying taxes-I’m sure you’re going to be popular with hard working families paying off mortgages. Moreover, you want people to undergo education by the internet instead, of schools – forget about the dads & mums; teachers & students themselves will be out for you. You need to realize that everyone is equal under democracy –including people who live completely disengaged from reality as yourself.

  • @elfornse Woo-hoo, the students who can afford private education but, tough 4 those who can't. So much for your equal utopia. Anarchy, as communism, might seem good on paper, but, it cannot exist for a long time due to natural human behaviour. Either sooner or later small governments are going to appear or a dictatorship is going to rise. Democracy is, in the words of Abraham Lincoln, 'the Government of the people, by the people and for the people'.You exist solely on the fringe.People Power!

  • @elfornse You may choose to live in your society of freedom in your dream.

  • @elfornse Somalia hasn’t had a functioning government for decades. The country is run by warlords, clans, apologists & a sprinkling of token civil society representatives that leaves it with no alternative but to administer services by local management. Local management falls down when issues arise that demand a universal approach. Education is a prime example. You can’t have a child whose quality of education is dictated by the town he/she lives in- that’s plain ludicrous. Find another cause...

  • @elfornse So, you must condon the actions of anarchist's who routinely hijack peaceful protests & cause damage to property & people's livelihood? Otherwise, you wouldn't be a moderate anarchist. But, we are both missing the point without an effective government acts such as rape, murder, stealing etc would go unpunished as there wouldn't any law. Without law, organised crime would rein - so much for your utopian universe. May i suggest you find a more important cause to promote; global warming?

  • OMG! This is awesome! They handed her the flower garland for her hair! This is lovely.

  • @elfornse I can already visualize you - hooded and at the front of any socialist/student rally ready to smash the nearest shop front window. gee, such vision.I cannot decide what would be worse anarchy or autocracy as each would remove freedoms we experience now under democracy.I find it hypocritical of you to use the freedoms of democracy eg. freedom of protest, speech, etc to propogate the removal of rights of others eg. right to safety, access to government services, rule of law & so forth.

  • Why was it dark towards the end of the video?

  • @elfornse If you don't want democracy, what do you want? Autocracy,in which one person possesses unlimited power? or a nation without government? what form of leadership do you expect?

  • @elfornse Your issue is not with the mechanism's (democracy or autocracy) that put government's into place;it's with the government's themselves. That places you firmly within the realms of conspiracists & anarchists-gee, that's a demotion. Since, corruption & self-interest will always be part of a civilised population including government's you have 2 hopes of ridding society of those - buckley's & none.As for your criminal accusations - they do not reflect mainstream ideals.

  • @elfornse Your spin never ceases to amaze me. Just how people would apply for a government job that doesn't pay anything? Because, that's what your suggesting. Births, taxes and death are life's fundamentals. It's been this way since the dawn of civilisation. We need to pay taxes in order to recieve the services we expect. And where in the hell do you get terms like 'extortion' from? Your basically accusing every government on the planet of criminal behaviour-oh come in from the cold please.

  • @elfornse You can't hold democracy responsible for the actions of individuals. You, yourself are acting in self-interest now so how can you criticise others for doing the same? That's hypocrisy. Failed nations such as somalia are a product from within eg. systematic corruption and have nothing to do with democracy as they have autocratic rule. Stopping aid to these failed states would amount to mass murder as the population would starve.

I really urge you to take a another look at the world.

  • What's unfair is that Burma's government made clauses and one of the few is that anyone who has married a foreign individual cannot be candidates in elections - married to a British lawyer, Aung San Suu Kyi cannot run in politics. I have my hopes on Burmese civil society and the continuous flexibility of the junta to the demands of other politic actors.

  • ♥♥♥♥

  • love

  • Dear aung Sun Suu Kyi. you release inspires me. Aung Sun Suu kyi you are the hero of the twenty first centuty. I love you!!!! Buddha bless you!!

  • @elfornse You just don't make any sense. You can't hold a system (democracy) accountable for the actions of an elected leader. A country absent of a functioning government is one of total anarchy. You only need to look to any 3rd world nation to know this is true as systematic corruption & incompetence ensure the people are trapped in poverty.

I tried reading your posts to others in a effort to understand the thinking involved but, it's all interpretation and absent of reason.

  • La FRANCE EST FIER DE AUNG SAN SUU KYI

VIVE LA LIBERTE VIVE LA BIRMANIE

    Merci pour votre invitation

  • It didnt, but they had a very bad democratic system. And no, not all politicians are crooks, you're just being sensationalist and silly. Do you think she's a crook ^?

  • @elfornse Democracy dictates, you are free to believe in whatever you choose -provided that belief doesn’t infringe on the health, safety & welfare of the community. Personally, I would add “within reason” to those protocols. Admittedly, many people would call the elected politicians-crooks but, accusing all levels of governments of systematic theft –I’m afraid you’re marooned on the fringe. You are already practicing basic principles of democracy-freedom of belief, speech, debate & enquiry.

  • @elfornse The dubious tax practices of Greece & Spain have led to harsh austerity measures & massive bailouts. Are you suggesting we follow their example? & are you going to tell; unemployed, pensioners ,disabled & the poor they can’t receive any social security because, you don’t think we should pay taxes? Your “criminal gang” was voted in by the people in the last election which, - provided you’re over 18- you would’ve participated in. Those in Burma were not given this opportunity.

  • Cheers!

  • Hope this awesome women can finally set Burma/Myanmar free!

    Best wishes from Bangladesh!

"Please use your liberty to help us achieve our own" - Aung San Suu Kyi.

  • Daw Aung San Su Kyi is freed but when is Burma going to be freed? We still have a long way to go. If we want changes in Burma, we Burmese people have to change ourselves first. We can't just rely on Daw Su. We must really work hard!

  • It's a truly inspire. Long live Daw Aung San Suu Kyi!

  • we are very glad to know for DASSK was freed. She is only one leader to improve for Burma.

  • @elfornse The simple fact is we need to pay taxes to expect the standard of services eg. Hospitals, Schools, Defence and/or Social Security -we are accustomed to from an elected government. Otherwise, we would end up like Greece or Spain whose dubious tax practices led to harsh austerity measures and bailouts. There is 1 direct property tax- stamp duty (state gov).Hardly, a crime. Democracy dictates, you have a right to your opinion but, personally I think fear and mistrust guide you.FREEDOM!

  • tears are falling my eyes. because I am so happy to hear the news and see her face.

she is my hero. she will able to do all the things in Myanmar. she is my hopes and for our future.

  • Think about the govt.'s reasoning for her sudden release--it FEARS an inevitable and impending revolution that will ultimately take down the regime! It demonstrates just how weak the military regime is. Justice and Truth are on the side of the people...it is only a matter of time! Free Burma!

  • @elfornse @elfornse As i previously stated;"There are several varieties of democracy."Hitler rose to power on the back of nationalism after the US pulled its money out of Germany to compensate for the great depression. You can't blame the system for the will of the people. Voting for a government is what democracy is all about. You (& the people) choose a government..In Australia, property is protected by the constitution whereby, anyone acquiring your property must provide compensation eg.money

  • A great moment for her and also for all the people chasing for freedom and peace in the world

  • Poem: Tears are not for Fears

    (Adapted from Abid Bahar's book "BURMA'S MISSING DOTS" p. 261, Amazon.com

    --

Suu Kyi carries water and showers the garden

It breeds forces in hundreds of men and women not a burden

A Chin woman says "I am suffering in silence, how long? ”I can't anymore bear"

A Rohingya woman, a Wa says, we have so many rapes to fear Suu, do you hear?

Suu says in tears, " You are a women like me, bear with me, my tears are not for fears."

(Dedicated to Aung San Suu Kyi)

  • @elfornse That's a cynical view. There are several varieties of democracy, some of which provide better representation and more freedoms for their citizens than others. However, democracy is "rule by the people". Some critical facets of democracy are; freedom of speech, guarantee of basic Human Rights to every individual person, separation of powers, religious freedom & one person, one vote. Maybe, individual circumstances are impairing your judgement but ultimately, you are free.

  • Take a good look at that lady face. That's the face which the Myanmar's junta so afraid of!

  • Free Burma!

  • 3 people don't like freedom and democracy... sadness

  • How to express the deepness of my emotion... These fantastic historical moments make my heart so much beating... in unison with all burmese... TV channels and breaking news are suddently taking care so much... Anyway, i pray for the full success of all Aung San Suu Kyi future actions...

  • Glad she is finally free. Burma needs someone to help unify its people against the current government there.

  • omg !!! she is almost 65 year old !!! but she looks like 35 old year women !!!

  • 2 people don't like that she's been freed?

  • @jackyvix These two people must be the agents of the Burma military junta.

  • Extraordinary scenes

  • the future great leader of Burma.

  • I'm glad that she and other prisoners are freed. But I've got a bad feeling about this...

  • That country needs a break.

  • Elections in Myanmar, elections in the US.

Gore won the election ! Su won the election !

If votes don't count what does ?

  • So happy she is free now..I lived next door to her for a few years and she is a very kind person, actually.

  • What caused the plight of the Burma people was western arm corporations which joint up with western governments to support the Burma military and start a war with their own people, all for the sale of arms to that country. Before this, Burma was a peaceful country but scum bags like Henry Kissinger plotted against these people and the interests of big western corporations (for financial gains) on the sale of army hardware to carry out the slaughter. PEACE!

  • This makes me so happy, I want to cry. I was in Burma a month earlier. Wish I could have been there with the crowd chanting.

  • I have been heared about her story amost 10 years. she is a hero of human right. she has spent most of her life to fighting of freedom for her people.

  • I respect her because she traded her mortal freedom for peace and democracy in a country she loves.

  • Long live Aunty Suu -3 -3 -3 -3

  • a great moment in Burmese history and for all burmese people.

    God Bless

  • Aung San Su Kyi is my hero, role model and inspiration. Hope that with her leadership, we can get rid of that S#@*T junta government.

  • I can't believe she has been released from house arrest... She is one of the most respected people in the world... An icon for democracy not only in Myanmar but all over the world... She has made sacrifices that no one could ever think of... She couldn't even be at her husband's side when he was dying of cancer on the fear that she won't be allowed to return to Myanmar plus she hasn't seen her two sons for a decade... I can't wait for the day when she'll be announced the new leader of Myanmar...

  • @owaisinus sorry, i wrongly clicked " vote down" instead of " vote up" ...

  • free at last....wish u all the best

  • Than Shwe will get this kind of enthusiastic reception too - at his funeral

  • even if its a plot by the Burmese generals to shift matters away from the illegal elections, it is going to work against them soon because people had enough of the junta's scams and there will definitely a big change as long as Daw Suu is free.

Jesus, Let not happy these bad things but Free The mother of Democracy and all of truth leaders free from prison life forever.

  • She still hasn't started looking old! The bravest woman in the world.

  • *Jumping for joy*....Long live ˙··٠٠••●●♥ Aung San Suu Kyi!! ♥●●••٠٠·˙

FINALLY our prayers were answered....LOVE and BLESSINGS. :)

  • The peaceful fight goes on until they are all Free - but the Freedom of DASSk shoud be seen as the first step. Happy ...

  • Historic. Maybe Myanmar will get a leader that doesn't rely on astrology for guidance?

  • SE Asia is a whacky place, believe me.

  • harr so happy can't stop cry...

  • long live Suu

  • The living icon of Human rights, Freedom and Democracy. The people of Burma deserve a leader like this.

"It is not power that corrupts but fear. Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it and fear of the scourge of power corrupts those who are subject to it."

    — Aung San Suu Kyi

  • Thanks for adding Immediatlly >

  • What kind of savage would thumbs down this?

  • Aung San Suu Kyi is one of my greatest heroes, next to Filipino democracy icons, Ninoy and Cory Aquino (whom Suu Kyi knew personally). Her determination to restore democracy in her country has inspired millions around the world, including myself.

Now that she's free, let us all unite and help the People of Burma in their fight for democracy, justice and FREEDOM. =)

  • I am waiting for this moment for last 5 years as I have seen the pathetic situation of human rights in Burma. Lets pray GOD will continue to support Daw Suu Kyi for good health and her continued non-violent moment for freedom.

  • We love U

  • YES YES YESYESYES Beautiful

  • FREEDOM

  • Aung San Suu Kyi free at last . I weep with joy.

  • YYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @NetworktempleDotCom If she is puppet of the US, she wouldn't sacrificed so much to live in house arrest for 15 years. Use your brain to think about it. You puppet of Junta.

  • @NetworktempleDotCom: Actually the U.S puppets are the Burmese military dictatorship. The U.S installed the Burmese junta in 1962 under their puppet Gen. Ne Win to fight the Maoists insurgents.

  • What country is this?

  • @dackjack Burma

  • @dackjack burma

  • India has a big role to play as it is largest democratic country in the world and Daw Suu Kyi is following the foot steps of Mahatma Gandhi

  • I am so happy for the people of Myanmar. I have watched over the years with disgust at how Aung Sang Suu Kyi has been treated. I am so happy she has been released. She is a true hero, a global icon, and a very beautiful woman. God bless your country.

  • Myanmar would become a prosperous nation if she's leading it!! congratulations...Long live Myanmar..

  • Greetings from Turkey. We hope the best for you Mrs. Aung San Suu Kyi and your country Burma.

  • Have she left Burma yet? The last thing I want is her getting arrested for some trump up charges again.

  • @Dantinus she would never leave Burma
