  • @manhattanwombat Not only Jamaame but also in Bardhere. This American agriculturalist named Maury who settled there [Bardhere] drew water from the Jubba river using massive imported pipes to a farm in Eastern Bardhere where he grew rice. The compound where he lived is still there and the area came to be called Muuri. It is possible to grow rice in Somalia because of the two rivers.
