@Chroniclesforever The keys are finished to feel like ivory (Real ivory piano keys have a satin-like off-white finish that is really comfortable to play even if your fingers get sweaty and sticky). Compared to glossy plastic keys they make playing a digital piano feel much more authentic. It's a nice feature for someone who learned and has played on ivories, but is an unnecessary luxury if you are looking to save money.
@Pianocarneseur12 They do not declare exactly what piano they used, but the say that "a high quality world class grand piano", so it should be Steinway or something similar like Bechstein or Schimmel.
@divinelykeyed The only difference is that the keys have mate finish and there are no speakers in the PX 3, while in the Px 330 there is not mate finish but there are speakers.
@DANUNIVERSAL that and there are a bunch of effects, and zone options on the px-3 unlike the 330. the px-3 is designed or a stage musician, 330 can be used on stage but is better suited for home use than the px-3 is.
hi, im looking for a GREAT digital piano, the 2 things im looking for is GREAT keys, i want GREAT HAMMER ACTION, i want it to feel real, also i want i to SOUND real.. i was intrested in a roland RD700nx, but my lifegaurding job wont pay for that, lol.
what is a really GREAt digital piano for around 1000-1300.usd
@dm3857 honestly go out and play some. The px-3 in this video is around 800 dollars and is GREAT for that price. Thrers a ton of good options in the price range you mentioned, the best thing to do is go to a music store and play some keyboards.
@dm3857 Yamaha Motif...... look at guitar center .com used section they have allot of used keys. stay away from casio its a real crap compared to what you can get out of a higher line Roland, Yamaha and Korg used gears
@dshiz16 Casio is not "real crap" and in this price range for the features it has it's a great deal. The only Yamaha equivalent is the CP33, which is pretty cool, but it doesn't have near the features, although I do prefer Yamaha's key action. Also you are not going to get a Motif for this price other than the non weighted key synth. The 88 key weighted versiosn are $2000 and up.
@dm3857 You're just going to have to play around, there's alot of options in this price range, the PX3 or PX330 are great options, but there's others you should try as well. As far as hammer action, I prefer Yamaha's, except for the M088 (which is a synth not a digital piano), the key action is sluggish and sticky, to me, but the CP33 is pretty good. What sounds and feels good to you may be different than me.
Anybody who judges a keyboard based on a 360p YouTube video deserves to miss out on a good thing. Unless you've tried it in person with headphones or quality monitors, don't comment on the quality of the sounds. It's Sweetwater's fault for posting low-quality video, not Casio.
I was seriously thinking about buying one of these but the sounds are fairly poor. Actually the auto-wah clav is OK, as is the "message in a bottle" electric, and that's about it. The Hammonds are unusable, and the EPs are borderline.
Consider that a Kurzweil SP2 is just £20 more in the UK, and is in a totally different league. Sorry Casio, but this needs to be a £400 board, not a £699 board.
Just because you don't understand what he's saying doesn't mean he should not talk. He concisely goes over all the things that make this keyboard amazing, and then is followed by 5 minutes of exemplary performance. That's a perfect ratio, so just because you can't understand what this "4 zone midi split thingy" is doesn't mean you have any reason to knock someone far more intelligent then yourself.
i hate it when someone posts lame comments about casio keyboards especially
jsmith040184 who babbles like a child when he knows nothing about keyboards. Mind you that even a professional keyboardist would be surprised on how that thing sounds.
No bad but for the reduced price of $799, I'd take the Roland Juno Di for $100 less, even without the 88 keys... and for the lsit price, I can get the new Juno Gi...
Casio make good sport wristwatches. Forget the keyboards! This sounds like my first CASIO CT 700 I had when I was a little kid. Are you trying to sell sand to the Bedouins?
Does anyone know what patch he used for the Led Zeppelin "No Quarter" tone? Sounded great!!

Does anyone know what "Ivory touch" means? Is it just that the keys have a mate finish?
