i was thinking about buying this camera because my old sanyo camera broke. does this camera work with a mac? if not what are some other HD cameras that work with a mac.

@JakubTilecky theres nothing wrong it sometimes happens to me and you just have to retry turning it on and it ( most likely ) will work, and that light, its nothing to care

about if it works to film and crap its fine. hope it helps :)

hey man, I have this camera to and wanted to ask you if you have a problem with it starting up? When I got it everything was normal and started up once the LCD was open but now when I hold the On/Off it flickers the red light and sometimes doesnt do anything, might you happen to know what I can do to fix this

@JakubTilecky No, I really don't know how to fix this I know you have to hold the power button for at least 2-3 seconds.

I got it from amazon just like you did and i got the package that amazon recommended with the SDHC 16 gig it says transcend and there is a 6 next to the SDHC

How do i use the light that is constantly on throughout a video so that you can take video in very dark situations

@gobblegobbleism I'm pretty sure that can't be used for videos, only for pictures.

When i upload videos from the camera with full hd 1080P there was some sort of glitch and lines across the computer screen after i uploaded it. Should i just lower the quality? also what settings did u change when u got the camera? like what is ur configuration because i have no idea how i should set it up. Thanks

@gobblegobbleism I think that is really a issue for the SD that you are using. The SD card may not be able to keep up with the data that is being written to the card. If you look at the SD card does it have a class number on it?

I heard some people say on reviews that it came with a tripod. Did it for you?

Do you think that another larger battery is necessary? Many people say they had to buy better batteries?

@alltherageblog I would recommended at least a 8GB class 6 SD card you can find these on Amazon for about $20. Mine did not come with a tripod but I ordered mine as soon as it came out so Sanyo might have added it later to the packaging. The larger battery is really your choice the camera lasts for about 2 hours. So if you are going anywhere for a long period of time and can't charge it it would be an easy upgrade.

I hear it has an optional manual focus, if so then how do you use it?

@gobblegobbleism The manual focus is built into the camera. You can access it through the software. It also has super macro mode and normal auto focus.

Hey, Im plannin on buying one of these to film DJs playing in big clubs with big sound. Do u know if video playback of videos that were filmed with this have distortion?

and does it fit in ur pocket?

and i heard this model has short video capture length. is it true?

@TheRealNicoBraun They shouldn't, it really depends on how loud the music is. It does fit in your pocket. I really don't notice it much when it is. I am not sure what you are talking about short capture length.

@TheAustinRichey The music is going to be really loud. Have you heard about Sensation White? or Ultra Music Festival? look those up on youtube u might understand how loud.

what i mean by capture length is that on review i read it said that theres a limit of time during which u can record a video. is it true or is it as long as u have free space on the memory card? let me know please

hey man just bounced out of the air and wanted to ask you if you recommend this camera? i ordered the cg20 or something and ive waited 2 months and its still hasnt restocked so if this camera is better i wouldnt mind paying a few more money

@jakub426 Really the only difference between the CG102 and the CG20 is the CG102 has a 14megapixel still camera and the CG20 has a 10megapixel camera. It is up to you if the extra 4megapixels are worth it.

@thesuperdudeguy it was around a 10 inch by 10 inch box. Maybe a little more or a little less. I would tell you the exact dimensions but I threw the shipping box out a while ago.
