I have to say, after reading the manga, I've have WAY more respect for Asuka than I did when I watched the series. I feel so sad in the way she was brought up and about. ): But I'm so happy, that unlike the the movie "End of Evangelion" where Shinji tries to wake up Asuka in what ended up to be disturbing scene, in the manga, her clothes are still on. Plus, she comes to her senses and is able to kick some major booty! How unlike at the end of the movie, she's still not herself at all.
