  • sad thing is. even with todays hardware. this game is still hard to hit 60fps. this game is HORRIBLY optimized

  • @fcmiller09 Crysis warhead is very well optomised though. The wrost optomised pc game ive seen so far is metro 2033. But you have to give the game credit for the physics, leaf foliage, resolution, shaders, and lighting. I also think the terrain and water in crysis warhead are really nice. I dont have any freinds on steam lmao. PLease add me. Poopampoopy

  • @poopamultimatepoopy yeah warhead was alot better. But the original crysis in this video is horrible. I got Metro 2033 to play smooth with all settings maxed. Crysis still give me a little problems here and their but it's not a big issue since the upgrades. I dont play much games online anymore, especialy on steam

  • @fcmiller09 Dude. I run crysis easier then metro for some reason. Metro 2033 Will be smooth at a 60, then I enter a slightly larger room And I drop to 18fps. The game is unplayable for me. Im on an alienware m17x with an external monitor attached. But Im thinking of making an intense gameing rig. Any tips lol?

  • @poopamultimatepoopy Yeah go with Intel and Nvidia or ATi and AMD...if you not spending much money then go with ATI/AMD. I like Intel and Nvidia

  • @poopamultimatepoopy Oh yeah Metro 2033 has a update that helps with gameplay. Im running two 550's and it still wouldnt play right. After the update it ran MUCH smoother!!!

  • @fcmiller09 LOL yea me either

  • im getting a gaphics card in my gaming computer that im getting for christmas and it can run at a average of 60fps on mw3 while not filming and just running mw3 so it sounds good :) cant w8 nice vid!

  • @LapisChimera mw3 isnt hard to run.

  • @LapisChimera Yeah dude. Mw3 is one of the easiest games to run. I get 200 fps on it. And I get like 70 in crysis.

  • @poopamultimatepoopy damn what is your rig like LOL... I get about 40fps on crysis with ultra graphics.

  • @fcmiller09 Its an m17x alienware latpotp/ It runs c rysis with around 38 fps. But metro Is lagging like crayzzzyy. Il download that patch you were talkin about.

  • @fcmiller09 My laptop ia not really upgradeable ecept ram. Its got a dece3 graphics card 8 gigs of ram. I7 and I rant remember the cpu or gpu

  • WTF ?

    OVERCLOCKED ?

  • 60 is shit; I have over 9000!

  • @Southpark124

Some day a 9GHz OC will be achieved, and damn it all to hell if someone isn't there to yell it.

    @ O.P.

Seriously, Youtube can't do 60fps, but it can do HD. This video fails, sorry.

  • how do you pre render?

  • only shit, with 16aa+ fps follen in 5-10? Shit...

  • Still the best looking game on the market, even half a decade after its release.

  • It is capped at 35 FPS, even at 240p.

  • Youtube renders at 30 fps

  • @FunnyFlirtTalks put it to 240p then you'll see

  • god damn it i cant wait till i have my new rig. should i go insane and buy a XFX HD-699A-ENF9 Radeon HD 6990 4GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16

  • how do you find out your fps whilst playing game ???

  • @Jo2h1x

Press the § button under esc, then write r_displayinfo=1.

p.s. this fps is now possible, with gtx 580 on 4xAA & all on very high (or enthusiast on Warhead) @ 1080p I get 55-60fps constantly.

But when the video was released this kind of FPS was not feasible.. And yes,the Cryengine still beats Frostbite used in BF2 by a long shot in terms of graphical quality.

  • this is 35 fps

  • did u cap frames ?

  • did u cap fraps ?

  • Nice, could you upload the original video with 60 FPS? Youtube quality is not 60 FPS unfortunately

  • at 0:36 the shadow (of nomad) has a timelag...

  • if you make the video 1080p then we can see the real footage

  • i7-860 processor-2.80ghz

    8gb RAM

    NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 230

    - up to 5118 MB total available graphics memory, with 1.5 GB dedicated

    - PureVideo® HD technology

Would it play well on this? :/, tbh i've not got a huge knowledge of computers

  • my "NEW" comp can run crysis at 30 - 50 fps on Maximum, but my old one could barly get 12 on low

  • specs please

  • dude how do you record frame by frame? I don't understand a thing from your description lol

  • How many fps do i will get?

    Q8300

    2.50 GHz

    2 GB of RAM

    HD 5670 1GB

  • @031281670 about 30fps high settings @1280x720 resolution

  • Every video gamers dream would be to have 1000fps

  • @yellowcorba1 i think thats some fucked up number the eye wont even notice that amount of fps

  • funny tho coz i didnt realize my pc ran it at 54fps not bad for £600

  • It's funny looking back at things like this now. Back in the days where if you could get 30fps constant on Crysis, your PC is godlike. Nowa days, my rig runs warhead at 90+ fps constant. We have come so far in such little time.

  • still didn's understand how you record it :/

why dont' you make a tut? :D

  • My PC would explode......... On low.........

  • I get avg 50fps with Re4Xz0oR's CVarV2.00 RC1. Install from crymod, then open go to finished stuff, look in the folders until you find the 1.9600m config. its godly.

  • this is beautiful!

  • i have i5 750 ati 5770 and 4gb ram, the game crashed when i switched from 1280x1024 75 hz very high 4x aa to 8 AA, but why???

  • I guess it is getting easier to run Crysis with higher settings these days. I'm hoping my computer upgrade will play Crysis higher than what my current rig played it at

  • It's awesome how much hardware has increased in power since this video was uploaded. With my new Core i7 machine with GTX 295 I can run Crysis on very high and get nearly 60fps or so average.

  • how will i get crysis on medium settings with my dell laptop with:

    intel core 2 duo @ 2.00 GHz

    3 GB ram

    GeForce 8400M GS

  • @drazillord

    In short... you can't.

I can manage an enjoyable framerate of about 20-50 fps on my XPS M1330 with 4GB of RAM and the same gfx card.

  • @drazillord Very low fps, doubt you'd reach 20fps even, probs around 13-15fps

  • You've seriously got some beautiful performance right now.

My Radeon card from a few years ago only plays oblivion at low on default, and it lags SO badly and it's overheated my comp so much--I'm going to get that G73JH-A1/A2 laptop for graduation! I'm SO FRIGGIN' excited!!

btw, yes the chickens are lookin' good

  • @routyy94 It'll be around 25-40fps on both

I have a Pentium D @ 3.2GHz and a 4850 and i'm getting roughly 20-30fps looking around the most detailed areas in crysis

  • @routyy94 It's a little late for this, but yes. ;P

  • I remember once they MAY have allowed 60 FPS, but you are right, it caps at 30. The only way of beating that is to make a 60fps video interlaced. And then the inbetween frames will show, but youtube doesn't have a bob filter.

  • I didn't know youtube allowed 60fps. I thought it capped at 30fps.

  • I never heard of that, where did you hear that?

  • i get 60 fps @ 1900x1200 maxed everything. 16xQ very high. this is done with qx9770 tri sli 280gtx @690/1458/1200

  • Ha ha ha! Great rig! :P It's amazing how Crysis is still the best looking game after 2 years. However, I'd like the textures to be of an higher resolution.

  • theres texture mods out there, look for one, they make a huge difference in some parts.

  • name of the song please

  • DJ Spoke - Watch Them Fall Down (Radio Edit)

  • @djc604 i was just watching a video with this song and i searched up crysis, watched this, and shat bricks.

  • @zuchann I personally like DJ spoke and his other tracks

  • get the radeon 5970, never dips below 35 fps in crysis XD

  • @iPhoneTuts No, it micro-stutters, which will be fixed in later updates but for not it isnt worth it

  • @Dany1148 only microstutters with crossfire x

  • @iPhoneTuts a 5970 is basicly 2 5870 is crossfire, wether or not it stutters with those 2, i don't know.

  • 24 fps is the defacto standard for film and television since the 1920's. now on any given day, this would be normal for us to see smoothly. However not the same when it comes to videogames. Many variables come into effect here, the LCD screen, GPU, CPU etc to alter and change the frame rate thaty you see. Every game is different. Halo 3 is locked at 30 fps but Crysis can go beyond that. Halo 3 at 30 fps is smooth. Crysis at 60 is smooth. It's not so much the eyes as it is the game.

  • I have a question. Someone asked me this and was arguing it with me and I didnt know how to explain it to them. Im a gamer and we all know that any game runs fast and smooth at 60 fps, but games look slow and choppy when they drop below that. My question is, why does that happen, when technically our eyes cant see more than 24 fps?

  • In fact the human eye sees not only 24fps, this varies with the gene of person like I see the difference when fps drops from 60 for 50 fps, as there are people who can see 80fps. one day I was playing with a friend and was with his pc 20fps i told him to reduce image quality, increased to 40 - 50fps, but he said he did not notice any difference in the smoothness of the game ...

  • @guimazzoni

so your saying it depends on the vision of the person, on weather the game is defined as "smooth" or not?

    I agree with this,

it seems very likely that a games's smoothness (no matter of Fps) is dependant on a person's perception. while most reguard 60fps as fast, some may SEE it as being slow.

    @xasthurhead

The reason they look chopy is becaouse most (console) games are set to run constantly at 60fps. dunno about PC games

  • @DaRkStAr197 Actually console games are fairly likely to be at 30FPS at the moment, for lack of hardware that can do more without substantial fluctuations in framerate. It's also part of the reason why games are more and more adding in per-object motion blur.

  • @xasthurhead no our eyes cant see more than 60 fps, not 24

  • @iPhoneTuts yes it can see past 60 fps.

  • @iPhoneTuts actually Cinemas record at 24 fps. 3d about 45-50fps is the limit when playing yourself, however if you watch someone else play it, you can't see anylag at 30fps

  • @iPhoneTuts It's actually more in the range of around 120Hz

  • @xasthurhead Our eyes can see up to 120FPS/120Hz. In fact, games will look smooth all the way down to 30Hz depending on a few different factors. The main reason that films are at 24FPS/Hz are due to motion blur, in which part of the old frame still exists in the new frame, causing our eyes to see it as being perfectly smooth.

  • @wicky615 Our eyes can see much higher than 120FPS.

  • you my friend are using frame by frame recording. lame. either you say it in the sidebar or your just a liar.

  • I don't think Youtube currently can even show 60fps video.

  • ur only geting good fps, cause ur resilution is shit....... not to mention there is no combat....

  • @vellilyne No...he's getting good FPS because this is PRE-RENDERED. A 8600 GT playing this in realtime would probably not even get 10 FPS.

  • i get 30-40fps on 1680x1050 with xp and with the very high mod,.@ the resolution your playing i get 50-60fps with 30-40fps in fight scenes. Also, I found out the sound cuts fps by nearly 40% alone.

  • Love the tune!

  • I got my Ati Radeon 5870 today, And I run Very high Dx10 at 1280 x 1024. 70 fps :D:D

  • BULLSHIT!

  • Impossible!!!! jk.

Very nice video card! I have HD 4870!

  • me too ^ ^

  • if you use Sony Vegas for video editing, it would make youtube play in 60 fps, My new Dead Space video is a good example of 60 fps in youtube.

  • How much ram u got?

  • Nvidia Tesla with Quadro ATI graphic card, along with Quad Intel Xeon screamed the game at the fullest 16xAA 2860 x 1750 resolution of Crysis war, with a FPS of 200.0 FPS Lock on. My computer beats NASA's supercomputer =)

  • hahah

and my pentium 2 voodo sli can play FSX in 60 fps

  • @L3G3nD0001 You mean a FireGL. And 2560x1600.

Neither Quadros nor FireGLs are able to handle Crysis properly - They're workstation cards. And if you have one of those you'd very probably know what resolution you're running at - Yet you make 3 typos? It's not even a proper multi-screen resolution.

NASA's supercomputers can't even run the game at all. For one they can't run windows (they're not using x86 architecture) and they don't have GPU's.

    Troll on!

  • @L3G3nD0001 Yeah, no. Not only does this not exist, but you don't have it. And no quad xeon is even going to come close to even an i5 in game benchmarks. Blow it out your ass.

  • @wicky615 Xeon > i5. However, GTX460/other mid-range card > Workstation cards

  • @L3G3nD0001 yeah right...parts dont exist and it would cost almost as much as...lets say between 50-100 BILLION!

    In other words: $100,000,000,000 lolol

  • @panda100123 Actually, it's 1/100000 the cost of a "Actual" supercomputer. NASA super computer is roughly 1 billion dollars, while mine is nearly 20 thousand dollars.

  • @L3G3nD0001 yeah ur lieing...Atleast list me some model numbers of ur processor and graphics card

  • @panda100123 I'm not listing all my model number, do it for yourself, lazy bum.

  • @L3G3nD0001 do it my self? So u want me to come to ur house and look on ur computer for a model number? YEAH UR A LIEING FUCK! Tell me ur graphics card number and ill beleive u

  • @panda100123 When I say look it up for yourself, newegg yourself dumbass.

  • @L3G3nD0001 Wanna trade computers?

  • I agree with you in all but one point which is the Physics. I dont think you will find, to this day, a game with better physics. I mean, where else can you blow up shacks and see all the peices shatter?

  • battlefield bad company (2)

    hahahaha noob

  • battelfield bad company 2 isn't out yet

    crysis was released in 07

frostbite engine pales in comparison to cryengine

    noobed

  • I know t isn't, but its 2009, not 2007, so compare games from now, like battelfield bad company! hahahha

    NOOBED

  • @djc604 Its out now.

  • red faction has a very descent physics engine. every thing you blow up is full of detail, but i still prefer crysis. :)

  • Well Red faction is physics demanding game, Would my Q9550 handle it? (Red Faction)

  • My GTX 260 is crying inside my cage

  • Crysis is...just a pretty game. It's not that great gameplay wise, it's generic with the same few weapons in the same tropical enviorment.

  • I agree, I would say Crysis is just one of those games to show off to your buddies on how great your computer is lol

  • Yup. It was pretty cool seeing it on my friends laptop, but got a little boring once we realized, "What now..."

  • do you use an xbox 360 controller?

  • whoa...someone needs their anti-tourettes medication

  • dude ! you funny guy

  • Looks like you have Tourette syndrome, LOL.

    Just ignore the disabled folks.

  • aw ya see this is stupid cuz its not real time. i hate pre rendered footage personally.

lol still a cool vid tho nice music enjoyed the random crysis mess around :)

  • na get a 9800 gx2 fastest card on the market.. 2 9800's in one

  • Are you kidding? a GTX 285 is the fastest single card available. GTX 295 is the fastest dual card.

  • well i was thinking about a gaming rig like this : Quad-Core 3.8 ghz 3 gb of ram DDR3 video card nvidia geforce 9800GTX 1 gb

  • yeah thats good. that 1gb will futureproof you too

  • whell i neded only the system not the monitor and all but thanks i have an LG Flatron W1942S 19 inch with max resolution 1440X900

  • can you please send your pc specs cause i need a very good gaming pc to play lastest games on max settings

  • My Specs:

    Acer 21.5" monitor @ 1680x1050

    Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 OC'd @ 2.7 ghz

    Nvidia 630i motherboard

    Sapphire ATI Radeon 4870 1gb

    4gb Micron Ram

I would say the 4870 is the best one you can get at 1680x1050, anything more is overkill. I would change the motherboard, and get dual channel ram. Right now the Q6600 is cheap, and is pretty good for today's games. I play Hawx, Call of duty 5, Company Of Heroes, and play SupComFA, GTA4, Crysis Warhead

  • hey does far cry 2 fallout 3 and all the present released games work very good on max settings on your pc?

  • Far Cry 2 is a good game on my system hitting ~40 fps average

  • your plaYing on a low res arnt you

  • nope, this was on 1680x1050. but this was pre-rendered, not real-time.

  • when u get the 4870, put everything to high apart from post-processing (mines on low)

have it on "always wait for v refresh", 60fps, smooth @1680 (dx10, does that matter?)

  • I'll try that, thanks for the tip. I just picked up the 4870 1GB and there are no regrets. I play crysis warhead with everything Enthusiast averageing at ~30 fps. Pretty good for mid range system

  • awesome man! 60 FPS!!! Hey, do you know what is the best brand for HD 4870? Cuz actually I'm thinking to buy the gecube HD 4870 1GB, but after I see this vid, I think I'll just have to think twice

  • XFX just recenly adopted the ati boards, and they make the best nvidia cards. So if possible, go for XFX. otherwise, i would go for sapphire as they have a good cooler. I wanted to get the Asus one cuz it looks awesome. lol

  • alright, I'll try to check it out.

  • Wow!!! Do you mean this one?

    ASUS EAH4870 TOP/HTDI/512M

    That's freakin awesome!!!

    Engine Clock Speed 815MHz

    Memory Clock Speed 3.8 Gbps

I think they're quite crazy in ocing it.

  • Too bad for you. That makes you the loser I guess, not him. Take your hate and your misery and get the fuck out of here.

  • lol

    Ownage

  • He's not rich, he has a 8600GT, he can only do this because he's recording over a long-long period of time!

  • shit its so fucking great

  • why is it jerky with rendered 60 fps ?

  • because during the recording the framerate is only 5-10 fps and is in slow-motion, so mouse movements may look jerky as I tried to emulate realistic mouse movements while in slow-mo which is surprisingly difficult. Next time its going to be the joystick using Xpadder.

  • Cool video, keep 'em up!

  • i play this game with 46 and 52 fps on 1920x1080 at very high with 8800 gts sli

  • 8600 gt??? WHoaaaa or other q660??

  • yeah but he rendered it so it looks a lot more smooth then it actually is.

  • i play this high 1024x768 20-35 8600hy 512 ddr2

  • I can play at 25-65 all very high 800x600 9800gt, very good.

  • nice, im currently getting around 30-35 fps on 960x600 on my 8600gt with everything on high, which is really an eyesore, but hook it up to an hdtv on that resolution and you got a system that beats the xbox lol

  • well ur video is an A(star). i was into console'ing.got bored of it and said..its about time i went 2 pc =D honestly the only reason is cuz of this fckin game that i love the pc

  • btw have u tried moding the physics ??

  • yea i used the sys_physics_cpu 0 cvar but I've been told that you can only see the difference in pre-rendered videos, not in real-time rendering of crysis

  • yh it does..i woud recomend it :)

  • im gettin a q660 & palit 1gb hd4870 v soon :)

  • haha nice, I heard the robot frog provides better cooling actually
