As an atheist, I have no problem with religious people, devout or not. But I don't like it if they come up to me and try as hard as they can to, in their words, "show me the path of good".
Thanks for sharing! I like the words in the video. My partner is atheist and I'm agnostic. We're getting legally married at the courthouse tomorrow and having some sort of ceremony/reception later in the year for the family. As far as I'm concerned, we are as committed now, tomorrow, and next year as we were a year ago. It's not about who says you are married or what ceremony you do, it's what is in the hearts of the two people committing love, friendship, and partnership. Thumbs up to you!

Was it a marriage, or a demonstration of hostility toward God? Why do you have go on about something you don't believe in? What do you have to prove? Could it be that you know what is right and that you are not doing right and so you "prove" it to the whole world by shouting "We are Godless"? The fool has said in his heart "There is no God".
@briddle2 Marriage is about people celebrating their love for each other. I cannot feel hostility toward a being I don't believe in. I will speak freely about my beliefs as long as those who are religious continue to speak freely about their beliefs. In my life I have joy and love and meaning, and I have that without any gods. The only thing I have to prove is that I'm a person too, deserving of dignity and respect. The fool uses Bible quotes to veil his insults to those with whom he disagrees.

Yesterday a woman I know had decided to leave the area without all necessary preparations. It was foolish. But she was determined and had decided to go into a bad situation. Another friend of mine told me about it, then he went to some friends and they prayed at 7:00. Shortly thereafter, she called and said God showed her why it was wrong.

i actually want to make an argument on your view of, not necessarily love, but an individuals perception of what love is. take the example that i think they use in public schooling is that someone is more overwhelmed with lust that they think its love. when in reality they just want to bone. like a one night stand kinda deal.

A love that you two share can never be sick and sad. It is what true marriage is about. God doesn't make you love each other or keep a marriage together nor does it create a marriage to start with and anyone who believes a marriage is based around god never really had the true pure love a couple can share with one another. I don't know everything, so I can't say unequivocally there is no "god" but I am confident that the reasons people give for believing don't carry logically. Very few people live there based on what they deem the least probable truth.

noblecaboose, you use a video to brag about performing a custom that is ordained of God from the beginning. then you state your unbelief after borrowing from that which is written. most people don't even know what the biblical idea of a marriage is anymore. we have removed God from marriage and the divorces are higher than ever. men marry one another and they know it is naturally impossible to produce offspring from such a "union".

let me also say to the women, to submit to your husbands. these days are well-written of when women would rebel against men and proclaim superiority over us as they do now, knowing they have the force of law behind them. some of them even tell that me women cheat more than men do now.

you're a man who lacks understanding, for if you understood what is written, you would know that the passage refers to the women of this day who sleep around, acting innocent and only seeking what is ordained of God to take away all possible criticism. most marriages are fake now because a woman has the motive of financial gain and a license to rob a man. they can take children from us w/ merely hearsay, w/ an order of protection, which is commonly referred to as "divorce planning" by lawyers.
better get that common law contract, signed and notarized by a judge. yes, it still exists and is superior to a marriage license. license = permission to do that which is otherwise illegal and what is ordained from the beginning now needs the permission and jurisdiction of men. what a joke...
