Friends fun to watch, but there is a massive charicter difference between their humor. Chandler this the funniest by far, followed by Monica and Rachel, them 3 are funny, Joey and Phoebe are just stupid, theres nothing funny about the way they are portrayed, and Ross can be funny, but the take him too far and his humor becomes pathetic. Basically, Chandler, Monica and Rachel have jokes directed to people with half a brain, and Ross, Pheobe and Joey have jokes directed at stupid people. Simple...

@DrewJVal Im not dissing friends, i like the show alot, but SOME of the charicters go through periods where they are too stupid to laugh at. For example, the second one of the top comments, whats funny about that? There are times when I like Phoebe's humor, and like the charicter she plays. But sometimes (particaulary Joey and Phoebe) have scenes where it goes beyond humor and stops being funny, because they act completely numb. I DO like the show, but im entitled to give my opinion.

Again, it is more exaggerated that what would happen normally in a situation with lots of people answering or responding, so that is why it is so funny! Plus, Phoebe is just hilarious anyway!

I can give you my explaination as to why I think she does this. Have you ever been in a class or a group where everyone is talking, or a teacher asks a question, and the response sounds mumbled with everyone answering at once? It almost sounds like no answer, just mumbling. I think the writers wanted to play on this real life occurance, but they made it a little more enunciated with Pheobe being in a group of 5 saying "Merry Christmas."
