exactly what servicing is required! It doesn't have a petrol or diesel engine!!! This is dealerships trying to con people yet again and it isn't acceptable. Now all they need to do is make one with 4 seats and a boot, spread the batteries out over the floor or something, use some imagination. The range and speed are better, but it doesn't say how long it will go at 70mph or when driven up a lot of hills for example. GM/Vauxhall (UK) are selling an all electric car next year.Range=40miles!!!!
Well the Mitsubishi i-EV goes on sale here in Japan in a few more weeks . 160mile range and 130 mile top speed. The wife has her name down for one. A we will OWN it .. no leased .. Bring on the EV .. Screw the oil companies!
my buddy has one who drives his 120-130 miles a day, it charges in 3 hours so i dunno what that that dood is talkin about sayin 90 miles. There are gonna crush them into little cubes when the owners lease is up. The big oil industry dosnt play that no emissions shit. By the way they 15seconds in the quarter mile!! lol
Don't believe the 156-mile range. I get about 90 (I drive about 40-60 a day). To charge it via a normal 15A 110V outlet takes about 20 hours. A 50A 220V setup, which we are supposed to be getting, is supposed to charge in 3 hours. It's a blast to drive -- the 90-mile range and lack of storage space are its drawbacks. It's definitely a step in the right direction, though.
im gonna vote for all electric cars with my greenback ballot and so the first car company that wants to sell me one chevy im lookin at you ...gets my ballot
yeah right and bush is a good guy. the cocksuckers at bmw HQ only did this to get out of doing the right thing with california law. it wont 'help them mass produce EVs down the road'. the only good that comes of this is that the sheepish masses might wake up and demand EVs and that it financially helps ACPropulsion, so maybe Alan Cocconi can have the surplus energy to design a new electronics module that's a tenth the size and cost of the current one because it's way too big for it's power
No trunk and no back seat? You've got to be kidding.
This car is simply a "real world" test to develop battery technology... which obviously isn't practical yet, based on the enormous size required to house them.
Mini should PAY people to do their field testing for them, not charge for it!
@tomprice494 It has the same size trunk but no back seat. The car is more than practical, I've been driving around an empty Civic with both of the back seats folded down for three years now and there's no sign of my vehicle needs changing. The range of this car is more than enough for most people.
@tomprice494 You have no idea about EV's I converted my first 18 years ago and am totally hooked . get a taste of driving an EV you'll not look back. Your comment is like the kid on the play ground looking at a beautiful girl and saying " She has no wheels , no slide , and no swing , I don't see what them older boys see in them girls, " ya the other kids your age might agree but not any of the big kids . Be part of the solution not the problem wwwdotgreensheadconversionsdotcom
wow that's awsome...how did you ever come up with the that design...it looks just like every other mini. It's nice but it's about time for something a little different

"The Mini E can be recharged in 2.5 hours ...... Not on household electricity you won't. They cannot supply that amount of current.
The lease cost will never pay for the fuel savings.

What happens after the one year period? They just take it from them or what?
Archimedes555453525 2 years ago
BMW will take them back and evaluate all feedback and the condition of the cars. Then, hopefully, they will go into production.
