HAHAHA oh my god. conservatives are soo retarded. I bet they listen to this shit and actually think he has a point. Congrats Neo-cons you are IQ point above Terri Schiavo.
Ah yes...those big giant pickup trucks that use a TON of fuel and keep our terrorist supporting amigos in the Middle East and Venezuela oh so happy. I'm sure the cost of the AK47 was not added to the cost of the pickup cuz car dealerships would NEVER do anything like that. Plus, hey it's ok to use God to sell stuff right? Rock on and keep feeding the terrorists. BTW the Ak47 is designed so that even the stupidest people can operate it. Good choice of weapon for this dealership & its customers.
@Darusdei True...and also one of the least accurate past 200 meters. If you can hit stuff with it at 200 meters, you're doing good. If you can hit the paper at 300 meters consistently then you lucked out and got a hell of a sweet AK. In my experience generally only very good shooters with years of familiarity with the Ak are able to consistently get lead on a man size target's center mass area at 200 meters. It's mainly due to the 7.62x39mm round itself. The SKS has similar problems.
@Darusdei To defend from what? It's not an ideal home defense weapon unless you use frangible ammunition and so far there haven't been any invasions of Mexican drug cartels or Islamofascists. Also so far no calls to take anyone's guns by the feds so I'm not sure what there is to defend against that local law enforcement can't handle.
@wigon hate jumping in on an old thread, I love law enforcement, and I support them 100%...BUT am I just supposed to hide under my bed and hope the bad guys don't murder my family during the 20 minutes it takes the cops to show up? Cops protect the innocent (most of the time :) ) but it is an individuals duty to at least try and not be a victim. and as far as the feds go, IF they came to take your guns it's a little late to try and run out and get one to defend yourself. Just my two cents.
@jdwohlers I wasn't saying that people shouldn't own guns. I was saying that assault rifles are overkill for home defense. It's extremely rare that burglars/home invaders use body armor. A good shotgun and a good 9mm pistol combo is all you need for home defense along with some good hunting rifles (for hunting). Also... unless militia movements are fully trained on making shape charged explosives, well then good luck stopping tanks (not to mention fighter bombers and laser-guided munitions).
@wigon what if a person doesn't like shooting pistols and shotguns? what if they like taking an AK out to the range and that is all they have? They do make hollow point and PSP ammunition for those as well. And at no point was I talking about fighting tanks or anything like that...but in case you were wondering I am fully trained by the government to make shape charges for anti-armor operations. Most militias don't train for social colapse scenarios not uprisings
@jdwohlers If an AK is all someone has, well that's one thing. However if they have options even hollow-point 7.62x39mm bullets will go clear through their house and into their neighbors house. I know this because a friend of mine was shot in a drive-by shooting in which the AK's hollow-point rounds (later confiscated from the perp) went clear through the house like butter. Many militias also DO train to fight against the federal government. BTW, what MOS were you?
@wigon lol all military rifles are designed for simple use, governments usually don't have a lot of faith in the intelligence of their soildiers :) besides an AR would be just to expensive.
@jdwohlers and another thing...what is overkill??? it's a made up term in this instance, overkill would be if I started lobing grenades at an intruder in my kitchen, a man can't be more dead from shooting him with an AK instead of a 9mm. Besides how many crimes do you see people commiting with "assault rifles" (I laugh at the term) sure I shouldn't be shooting a high caliber rifle in my home...that's just silly but that doesn't mean that if that's the first thing I get to that I won't.
@jdwohlers Overkill I define as "over-penetration". So unless they are frangibles, the rounds will penetrate clear through other rooms in the house (and loved ones in those rooms). If you have other homes next to yours, it will also likely penetrate those homes. I'm not saying you shouldn't use it if that is the first weapon available, but a pistol is usually better for close quarters while a 12-guage shotgun (00 buck shot) gives less chances of missing and has massive knockdown power.
@wigon that's why I stated PSP or hollow points less penetration, and as for OO buckshot, that penetrates just fine as well, if you don't want to miss and have less chance of overpenetration use #2 buckshot, Pistols go threw walls as well, it's about control and confidence with what you are using not the size of it. I don't have to worry about besides the odds of a 7.62x39 round still having the kinetic energy necessary to leave my house and kill my neighbors.
@jdwohlers pistol rounds and shotgun rounds may go through walls, but slow down tremendously and generally don't penetrate multiple walls. As I've said, I've seen first hand what the 7.62x39mm rounds do to a typical home after a drive by shooting (and those were hollow-points) and every round went clear through the entire house through multiple walls and even after going through steel window frames and through my friend's hip. So you can go on believing whatever you wish to believe.
@wigon well if they went threw his hip I don't believe they were actually hollow points. And as a matter of fact I have seen first hand what a large number of calibers will do to buildings and people. So how did you determine they were hollow points anyway? dig em out and look at em real close? The point is I should not be limited in how I choose to defend my home. I promise I won't use bombs or my 50 BMG rifle to shoot the bad guy. Is that good enough for you?
@jdwohlers It was determined that the rounds were hollow-point by the police when they caught the guy. They had thought the house belonged to a rival gang and so basically they hit the wrong house. But if you want to send bullets flying all over your neighborhood, that's your decision. I'm happy with a Kal-Tec 9mm/Pardner Protector 12 gauge combo. By the way...I own a Norinco SKS but I use it as a cheap pig/deer gun and not to play wannabe GI Joe in the woods with paranoid fanatics.
@wigon No one playing GI Joe here, I must say I'm confused about why you would just assume that someone who favors higher caliber weapons must run around in the woods with "paranoid fanatics"
@jdwohlers And they showed you how to make shape-charged explosives? I was asking because I'm a former member of the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and I am very familiar with explosives and routinely run across individuals who claim to have been in the military and weren't. If you are an infantryman could you tell me what you use to attach your wire to a blasting cap and what safety procedures you take? All infantrymen know this and its part of USMC Infantry School & Army Basic Training.
@wigon Well we normally used the M7 blasting caps with the M700 time fuse for our charges, but you are right in that all Infantrymen are trained in at least the operation of a claymore which is electrically command detonated. First off the wire is already attached to a blasting cap, it comes coiled around a narrow cardboard tube, grounding yourself by placing your hand on the ground before handling the leads, when inspecting a cap don't blow into it if it is dirty use the wrist to wrist tap...
@wigon 0351s got rid of the Javlin for our anti armo stuff and just rolled with the MK 153 SMAW. In place of the Javlin they switched us to demo and urban mobility, doughnut charges, water charges, linear charges...you get the picture. We also were taught field expedient charges like the grape shot charge and how to make a shaped charge (stand of distance cone diameter all that jazz)
@jdwohlers Ok... yeah you're a Marine and know what you're talking about. Although in the Army we have a different procedure with claymores in that we short wires on the clacker side while we're attaching the firing wire to the blasting camp using a crimper. I've been out since 2001 however so maybe they've changed that since then perhaps. About the fanatics, I assume that cuz most of the guys I've met who are into militias tend to be extremely paranoid conspiracy theorists *usually*.
@wigon I understand that I see lots of people like that and I send them on their way I do "run around in the woods" with a group but we learn survival skill, tracking, food foraging, edible plants, canning game meat and vegitables gardening. We are more of a survival group than a true "militia" as so many call themselves I love the government I'm more worried about earthquakes and pandemics than the "NWO" Loss of utilities and services in an urban area would mean chaos I like being prepaired
@jdwohlers Oh wow...that's awesome. See, that's the type of militia I'd like to join...one that focuses on survival and self-sufficiency. I'm liberal, but I'm a big believer in self-empowered communities that don't wait around for the feds or state gov to fix things. I've turned my backyard into huge organic garden focusing on sustainability with a goal of producing 100% of what I need to eat. I also make my own wine and vinegar from pears and trees. I'm hoping to start raising chickens soon.
@wigon look into rabbits, one buck and three sows will produce 25 pounds of meat a month, compost for your garden, and the furs make super warm big fuzzy quilts...though that takes ALOT of rabbits, That's the way to go, We do teach some basics like marksmanship and what not but self sustainment is the main goal, being able to take care of your family during a real disaster, that's what's important to me. you will have to send me your vinegar process, I've been looking for a good one
That sign that was taken down, it wasn't for censorship. It was for libel. See when you print a bold face lie to try to destroy someones reputation, you will be taken accountable.
I like how you said you were smarter, and more well liked. Is that why you need a gun, and god? Too stupid to be diplomatic, or take care of yourself like a true intellectual?

That sounds nice, but with 435 people in the House of Representatives as it is, many bills, owned by no one, achieve a life of their own as the project is bounced between a dozen offices; thus becoming 1000+ page monsters. Triple the number of people in the legislature, and you triple the time it takes to actually get anything done; believe me, all 1000 legislators WILL want their five minutes to speak on whatever is being discussed...
We don't need more reps, we need Washington to control less.
WELL, between BOTH great insights by BiggsReport AND Bradyspace-- I say its like that one commercial...I'm feeling like throwing my hands up in the air et saying "What the hell ever!! Why try". Anyhow, whats that commercial where they are like, "What if Lumberjacks ran the courts?" (or was it Firemen? idk?))) Remember, they fire up the chainsaw and divide all property 50/50! lmao
So yeah, they would get more done in one week (to clean this shithole up!), than what's been done in atleast 15y!
A lot of those bills you refer to were actually written by lobbyists. I believe we would have a lot less lobbyists in washington if they were out numbered by representatives.

Also, you will NEVER have reps outnumber lobbyists unless you draft millions of people to serve as "reps". ONE thing will reduce the number of lobbyists; reduce the powers exercised by Congress. So long as Congress can legislate every aspect of your life..
... you have a perfect right to ask someone to represent you when they are making decisions that can instantly destroy your business, take away your livelihood, or reduce your freedoms. Lobbyists are no more or less than paid advocates speaking on behalf of some private group. Everything from retired people to ranchers, to almond growers, to shipbuilders have a lobby in Washington, because the government interferes with all of these areas of our economy. Less legislation means less lobbying.
But your solution; tons and tons of representatives, would mean that each representative has relatively less power, so the bureaucrats have relatively more, so they can continue to expand government size, so we can have more and more lobbyists because that is the only recourse a little business owner has to protect his livelihood. More Congressmen will mean more bills, because they feel they have to have something on their "resume", and get a bill with their name on it passed = total nightmare.
George Washington never said anything about 250,000 representatives!! He couldn't conceive of a federal government that big in his day! Don't pretend that George Washington would have been in favor of infinite representatives because he wanted more then 100; that is a logical fallacy. I will guarantee you if he saw the city named after him today, he would want to shrink ALL of it; not drastically increase the congressional research service, congressional staffs, and congressional offices.
I said 10 thousand representatives. You are not reading what I said. You are either being belligerent or ignorant. Either way you are wasting my time.

We should have 1 representative for every 30 thousand people.
Google this issue.
This is the crux of why we are not being "represented".
"This was the only time that Washington pronounced an opinion on any of the actual issues debated during the entire convention"
...Why has our representation degraded to 1 in +650,000 people?
Our only elected saving grace right now in washington is a "representative". Lets send thousands more of them to Washington, as Washington would want.

bradyspace 2 years ago
George Washington never said anything about 250,000 representatives!! He couldn't conceive of a federal government that big in his day! Don't pretend that George Washington would have been in favor of infinite representatives because he wanted more then 100; that is a logical fallacy. I will guarantee you if he saw the city named after him today, he would want to shrink ALL of it; not drastically increase the congressional research service, congressional staffs, and congressional offices.

I said 10 thousand representatives. You are not reading what I said. You are either being belligerent or ignorant. Either way you are wasting my time.

I'm off to Mullers for my trade-in...;-)

I expect Mullers business to do well. Especially with an AK47 thrown in on the deal !!

I've just decided that I like Missouri. I want one of those trucks!
fadewalker 2 years ago
But he should have thrown in an American weapon; not a Chinese built AK. How about an M-4 and a truck?
BiggsReport 2 years ago
Well, chances are that M-4 was made in china too. Safe bet seeing as just about everything is made in china these days.
