I used this when I set my alarm off by accident. The police came and I opened the door but I did not unlock my storm door. I showed them my ID to show that I lived there and they asked if they could come in. I said if you have a warrant you can kick the door down then I closed the door. They left.
After i explained to the officers that i understood My rights, and was Not in violation of any laws and was not going to let them search me or give them ID,.. they looked at me in amazment and anger at the same time, mumbled some coward shit (under their breath) got back in their car and Drove Away!.. and I kept walking on my mission to get some pussy ...I was a bit nervous, but the key is to keep your calm, and keep the cops in check...Dont get upset or obnoxious or the CAN use it aginst you.

I have, for the most part, people in my community who like, respect and want to help the police. This idea that the magical "warrant" is required for everything simply isn't true. But, I guess if you're a drug offender, a domestic abuser, etc. this is the way you think you should behave. If an officer has a lawful reason to be on your property or in your home then that's what's going to happen. Imagine you've been dispatched to this home for a 911 "hang-up" or "open line" call (which often happen accidentally) and this is what you get. listen, i am NOT a cop and i dont sympathize with cops, however if you had to deal with criminals and scumbags everyday, you lose your ability and patience to separate the criminals and the good citizens, and you cant be nice to criminals or else they will take advantage of your good nature, therefore cops have to be rude and nasty to everyone since they cant discern good people from bad people.

If you open your door, all they have to say then is "I smell pot" and they can enter your home legally. Even if a K9 alerts on your home, they still need a search warrant as a K9 alert alone isn't enough for them to breach your home.

Cocaine addiction isn't physically addictive. I was addicted to HEROIN and opiates at age 16, I was shooting (injecting) it at 17. I had no way of getting a job, I was a hardcore street junkie and HAD to steal to prevent myself from dying of withdrawal. The Shock withdrawal would of had on my frail body would of killed it.
Cocaine addiction is nothing, I was smoking crack my whole heroin addiction and thought nothing of getting off of it. It was just the Heroin that was the addiction.

Just did this tonight (Las Vegas Metro) and it worked like a charm. They kept trying to get me to open the door saying they could not hear me through the window LOL. They left and came back and talked to me through the window... I know they really hated not having control of the situation. Barry is my hero!

I have, for the most part, people in my community who like, respect and want to help the police. This idea that the magical "warrant" is required for everything simply isn't true. But, I guess if you're a drug offender, a domestic abuser, etc. this is the way you think you should behave. I give Cooper props for his entrepeneurial spirit but, realistically, this is pretty shaky advice doled out to make money off of pot-heads. I wouldn't take any of this as gospel truth.

Wow. There's a lot of bad information out there people seem to think is true. This NOT how law abiding citizens should behave. If an officer has a lawful reason to be on your property or in your home then that's what's going to happen. Imagine you've been dispatched to this home for a 911 "hang-up" or "open line" call (which often happen accidentally) and this is what you get. If you behave like this you're going to jail whether the call turns out to be accidental or not. That's just ONE example

It is simple, buy a NO TRESSPASSING sign for $3 ad place next to the front door. Cops have to have probable cause or a search warrant to enter onto the property. I'v told a cop to go fuck himself and get a warrant, he left without even saying anything once he saw the sign.

You have to be polite to them though. You can't be rude back, or else they'll find a reason to arrest you. If they yell 1 inch from your face and you throw your arms up, you'll get resisting arrest. If you so much as push the officer, you'll get assaulting an officer. Its a trick dirty cops often use to charge innocent people with a felony and they totally get away with it. Their performance is judged solely on the amount of arrests made. Police have an immense amount of power over other people.

If you open your door, all they have to say then is "I smell pot" and they can enter your home legally. This is why you NEVER open the door, the the cops can't lie and say they smell something like pot to get access to your home, cause again all you have to do is crack your door open, and they can use the "i smell pot" lie and get in your home.
Even if a K9 alerts on your home, they still need a search warrant as a K9 alert alone isn't enough for them to breach your home.

we can all hope for the best my friend. on the west coast you can try this stuff, but on the east coast, the cops are like starved pitbulls on young people. if you act like a lawyer to a cop, they get madder and madder till your on there shit list, and after you go on there list your life is a living hell till you do some time. its sad i know, very sad, we just need change point blank

I had no way of getting a job, I was a hardcore street junkie and HAD to steal to prevent myself from dying of withdrawal. The Shock withdrawal would of had on my frail body would of killed it.
Cocaine addiction is nothing, I was smoking crack my whole heroin addiction and thought nothing of getting off of it. It was just the Heroin that was the addiction.

I had the chemistry knowledge at the age of 16 that not a lot of thirty year olds had, I was very smart in that area and drugs fall under chemistry. I knew the effects of Heroin, I knew how addictive it was, I did NOT give a shit.

Specifically though I'd like to know if the law requires you to say anything to them at all, I don't think it does. I know that they often don't follow the law & do whatever they want very often but that's kind of besides the point. If the law doesn't requre you to answer them then I wouldn't want to. I would just start destroying my plants immediately & my stash & start flushing it all down the toilet so that by the time they arrived there'd be nothing left but legal grow equipment.

your wrong. if a cop comes to your door, you dont have to open it, just talk to them through the door and tell them to go away. theres nothing they can do, if you open the door then they can see inside your house and can find something that can get them a warrent.
