Aiyo!! Why the police open the windows.. she was sleeping .. Aiyo.. She angry she end up, eat eu .. If i saw a letter wrote down, don't come inside the bathroom.. I surely ran away.. coz i know, human being not gg to sleep at the bathroom.. Hahhaha..
i got a customized let me in movie it includes all the deleted scene to its proper timeline and english sub.i have to do it coz for me this is one f the best movie ever...
what a tragic situation, one thing that will be wished by those who will live for eternity is death, probably one will enjoy living and doing everything, a decade a century or even a millenium but a day will come that one will feel very tired and the last thing you want to yearn and is death.
@jeyenne68 Yeah I agree. What is especially powerful I think is the shot where Owen has turned away while Abby feeds on the cop, and then she hugs him from behind covered in blood and rests her chin into his shoulder. Its a powerful image as it shows such sorrow in her curse as being a vampire and this is the life she has to live.
@greenkitty82 (bad english, sorry) In the original movie, abby (Eli) is actually a castrated boy, and when Owen (oskar) peeks on her in the shower she has a scar in her crotch. Now they didnt put that on the american version, but i think that the fact that Owen gets suprised when he spies on her its kinda like a reference to the original movie/novel, but they just didnt want to put something so grose :)
@Aluxes05081992 So does this mean that in this version of the movie Abby is also a castrated boy like Eli? I wonder when Abby keeps saying to Owen "I'm not a girl", is she refering to the fact that she isn't a girl because she is a vampire or because she is really a castrated boy? This isn't made clear in the film as there is nothing in the film that suggests to me that she was a boy - a deleted scene just shows her being bitten as a girl 200 ago.
@Aluxes05081992 I think Matt Reeves said they kept Abby as a girl for his version and not as a castrated boy like the original so i'm not sure what Owen was surprised by when he spied on her dressing (as Oskar was freaked by the scar in the original). Reeves might have changed it just to reflect teen angst and curosity for the opposite sex but as you only see Owens reaction you don't know what he sees.
@Aluxes05081992 (Following on) Thats whats confusing to me as viewers having seen the original will assume that Owen sees a castrated Abby (as Oskar does for Eli) but for those only seeing 'Let Me In' won't know and as I said there is nothing in the film that suggests that Abby was a boy before she was a vampire - she gets bitten by an uncle who was a vampire in the 1700s as has lived that way since.
@greenkitty82 If Matt said that they wanted to keep Abby as a girl and not a boy then i am confused about this scene too, maybe Owen just got scared or nervous in this scene because he saw a naked girl, or like i said before, the director wanted owen to be scared in this scene so the people who watch the original movie didnt get "disapointed" with one of the most creepy but also most important scene of the book, and at the same time let the ones who didnt read the book, get their own conclussion
@Aluxes05081992 Yeah I agree with you. I didn't see the original or read the book before I saw Let Me In so I naturally assumed that Owen was looking at Abby dressing and then turned away cause she was naked. I've now seen the original and so can see the resemblence of the two scenes but as Matt kept Abbey as a girl. Chloe Mortez even said herself she didn't see the original film or know anything about it in order to keep her character raw and original and even created a back story for Abby
@Aluxes05081992 which is what you see in the deleted scenes of the movie. But as Matt kept Abbey as a girl for Let Me In, I think the Owen/Abby dressing scene, although follows the original exactly, has a different meaning in this film (as owen obviously is not looking at a castration scar) and as you said the audience has to make their own conclusion. I reckon owen may have looked away a) cause Abby was naked or b) there was some sort of vampirish appearance on Abby that shocked Owen.
@greenkitty82 Yeah, i think those two would be my conclussions too xD anyway the thing is that this particular scene is by far my favourite in the movie, the music, their head banging, and the innocent look of the beatiful abby make me so happy for some reason, like if even after the creepy bloody scene, they still have their innocence wich they show when they laugh at the end, im so in love with chloe moretz and this movie (: (Again, sorry for bad english)
@Aluxes05081992 I agree, I also think its great in this scene how Abby can just jump out the window - wish I could do that and not hurt myself! Can see your attraction to Moretz, shes talented and seems a nice kid. Do you think that if the roles were reversed and Owen was the child Vampire and Abby the bullied schoolgirl the film would have the same impact? Or is it more tragic our vampire lead is a female?
@greenkitty82 Mmm never though about changing the roles before... really got me thinking about it, i dont know, i gues it wouldnt be the same, like you said it is more tragic that the lead is female but i cant say why xD what is your opinion?
@Aluxes05081992 Yes I just thought what if the roles were reversed? - its a great discussion topic. I studied film at school and my lecturer told me that the audience always identifies emotionally with the female character so maybe as females are more emotional and aren't stereotyped as being violent or as physically strong as men are maybe that makes it more powerful and evokes more sympathy from the audience? I'd be interested in what other fans of the film have to say about it.
@jamsam2009 Abby, or Eli I should say, was a boy in both the book and the original film. But in Let Me In they decided not to include that to keep the film relatively mainstream, so one can only say that when she says 'I'm not a girl', it means that she is a vampire. So in short, in Let Me In, Abby remains a girl.
If I were Owen I would have held that mans hand until he died, atleast that would have put him to rest with a little bit of happiness or comfort. I love this movie and Chloe.
@BLoodyALiceXseriX straight you say huh. hey so am i! coincidence?! no i think its FATE we definitely should go out some time Im 31 though but dont mind dating teenage girls AT ALL so no worries. so whats your phone number hun? message me I'll call you up

Why is it that Owen looks away when he spies on Abby getting changed? Is it because she is naked or because he sees something vampirish??
