  • the RPG MUSIC BACK THEN WAS WAY BETTER

  • To be honest, I never really thought this theme was very sad.. I mean, it's a bit sad, but not enough to warrant a spot on #3 in my opinion.

  • Final Fantasy IV was one of the best RPG i played in my entire life. It's so mature, so dramatic, so beautiful... In general terms, its the best final fantasy made EVER.

  • i dont think we are more creative if we are given more limitations.. i just think it shows more creativity to make something original with heavy limitations ; p

  • Ahhh, my favorite Final Fantasy game! <3

  • beautiful

  • Where ther devil is MGS

  • This is my favortie final fantasy in the series and I played almost all of them

  • i like how not only you give us such beautiful music, but you inform us about so many things. THANKS.

    btw FFIV RULEZ

  • Uematsu always composed beautiful musics! I love all of them. Final Fantasy without him is nothing. Same thing for Sakagichi. I listen these musics every day of my life.

  • i absolutely love the harp intro in the new version!!

  • this song is emotional indeed... T ^ T

and this song also have similar bit as this song too > merindukan mu - D'masiv

  • Give Uematsu a tin-can , a metal pot and a stick and he still can make something great out of it..

that is what the composers of the "new" games lack.

  • I love Uematsu's work.

  • this was also my first rpg. I loved it from the start. and the ds version was pretty good too the voice actors were good

  • for me my personal favorites are:

The main theme wich is the same as the crystal room song.

    The cave Song they use

    Underground song

    Dwarf city song

    Moon song while travelling outside.

  • I agree, limitations added more passion to the work.

  • can you put top 10 love song :D, i want to hear final fantasy 8 eyes on me from your video

  • hearing this music makes me feel like I'm living in a renaissance era... such simplicity yet captivating.

  • Well said.

  • i enjoy reading your comments zapper, but sometimes i have to pause or rewind, call me a slow reader or nitpicky, but its true.

  • I heard this song is so big that it's actually studied in japanese schools. Don't quote me on it, though. I'm not 100% certain.

  • no i heard the same thing too. they study it in japaneses schools XD

  • Thanks for this great list! This song is the best IMO. It is so calm and so intense at the same time... And there's the nostalgia factor too :D

  • You made me realize I'm missing out on some nostalgic awesome games! I have to go back and replay this game (the original)! I can't believe you didn't put in final fantasy 7 Aeris' theme in here though... :(

  • I like it and all, but I don't find it to be "omg awesome!" kind of feel lol. To each his own. :)

  • man now that i listen to this song again it sounds o lot like a song from Bleach...

  • Epic.

  • I first played this on PS1 a few years ago. A decent game indeed, some nice tunes, but the Baron City one is hard on the ears...

  • I disagree. I loved Baron City's theme.

  • This song makes me nostalgic because it was one of the first RPGs I played :). Good song.

  • Same here man. :)

  • Yup, same here as well :D

  • I think that if at 3:04 the phrase had as much impact as in the original, the DS version would be superior in nearly every way.

  • I slightly agree. Still pretty though.

  • This song reminds me more of Deego and the bartender from Rogue Galaxy than it does Cecil and Rosa, but that could just be because its a jazz-like piece.

  • Interesting point there. :)

  • Oh yeah, I remember the bartender's name now! It was Angela!

  • <3 this song <3

  • It's an amazing piece. :)
