  • OW I get the trick,... you just need to make an ugly background to scare hackers ... Thank You! ..

  • didnt work on mine...i guess cause mines windows seven....sadface

  • @sis4949GiRL It does work on windows 7.

  • @osie1 well it didn't work

  • @osie1 you have to stretch the picture.

  • @sis4949GiRL Did you save it as jpg?

  • all your doing is making a tiny bitmap, and then making it bigger, the tiny bitmap takes far less pixels to make, then when stretching the image, the bitmap has to add pixels, while the other ones are being stretched. now where the colours break its a sharp line at that resolution, but when expanded the the width of the line that "breaks" the colours is also stretched, this makes the pixels gradient. nice find though, never had a clue about that

  • @wemosam google:antialiasing

  • cool! it worked for me.

  • So it resizes it. I use that to make videogames.

  • Wtf How did i get to this and Oh Hai ^_^ you updated 3 hours ago whats the are the odds

  • Guys, Can I just say this video is three years old.

It was done on xp, using the pencil tool.

  • vad ska man rita??

  • so awesome...

  • this is awesome!!

  • You should of shown how to do it if you want to know its: ZOOM>CUSTOM>800%

Drag the dot in the corner to make it really small to 4x4 and then but the pain brush as small as it goes like the button then put what colours you like go to file>save>Set as background (stretched) :) thats it and youcan change the colours if you dont like them ;) xx

  • no ofence but that is not a trick

  • @123chocobo Yes it is.

  • Personally I think it's awesome. I tried it and it works. :D

  • cool trick

  • Thats cool :/

  • @TheVloggergirl :/ means lame or as in that's pretty stupid, face.

  • lads, your just setting it as your background! not much of a trick unless your a NOOB! not NEWB!

  • @shanzx0x Dude noob is short for newbie you fucking retard

  • @layn333productions Actually, new means newbie. Noob means nobodie, so why don't you go and learn what the words you say mean, THEN you can come back here and call everything a 'fucking retard'. :D

  • @excaliburasavocaloid no noob means newbie.

  • @excaliburasavocaloid wow fail noob means newbie

  • HAHA NICE 1!

  • How do people not know this stuff?

  • cool^^ very nice an easy :D

  • Really, it's just that the image is stretched a whole lot. Since the image is really low quality, the shading is caused by the filtering to upscale it. No, it's not nearest neighbor, because that would preserve the pixels.

  • Erm, I didn't get what the trick was...

  • @MatchstalkMan You can make gradients using this technique...

  • @MatheusMK3 Ah, thank you. I hardly ever use MS Paint unless there's no image manipulation SW on the computer and I need to capture the screen image. That's a pretty neat trick.

  • @MatchstalkMan zoom in reeeeal good, so that you can only see, for example,10 squares/pixels, and fill in with a simple blend of colors. save and set ad background :)

  • U RUINED MY BACKGROUND NEWB!!!!!

  • @xXFury4lifeXx WELL IT'S YOUR FAULT YOU TRIED IT NOOB

  • I thnk you should put instructions in the description. Some people aren't understaing it.

  • I don't understand, its shit. No offense

  • fake

  • @GraffitiTubeOriginal look mate if this is fake then im not alive and if i aint alive how am i writing this message?

  • @GraffitiTubeOriginal It's not fake, You got to paint.. Click the magnifine glass, Press X8 Then you make sure it's 4x4 tiles, And pick your colors, Save as a picture, Then click "set as background(centered)" I just Barely did it.

  • nice thanks for telling me!!!

  • awesome

  • 0:30 nice ass xD

  • Set as background is grayed out, even after I saved it :<

  • it works! its so cool!

  • oh its not JUST the paintbrush icon. my bad. lol

  • ur ms paint is a little different than mine. my paintbrush icon is different and we have a different type, but idk wat type i need to do that... what type do i need? mine is just regular paint that i have on meh computor...

  • The MS paint might depend on the OS of your PC. I saw 3 types of MS paint, one in '98 and older, one after '98 until XP and one in windows 7

  • I stretched it but it won't blur!

  • Comment removed

  • Try doing the first one

    height=4

    width=3

It looks more blured but the desktop looks more, advance.

  • It works?????

  • @MrAnjon12 yep

  • you should make the 10x10 thing more clear..like in the info box or something, cause unless you read a comment w/it you can't tell.

  • how do you make the box 10 by 10?

  • @maanu40 go to image- attributes in MSpaint, put 10 for width 10 for height, press OK.

  • It works! Thanks :)

  • Man I love you!

You saved my ugly backgroud xD

  • Simple, yet very cool!

  • wtf cant save??

  • If you don't understand the trick then here you go:

Make the box about 10x 10, then out some colours in it.

Save it as what ever you want, then Go to file and

''Set As Background (Streched)'' then look at your background! xD

  • Hehe. Paint always tricks me into saving images as bitmaps or JPEGs. Everyone knows PNGs are the way of the future! But, this video shows one reason to keep them around..

  • Thats awsome

  • i cant get mine to look like this!! please hellppp

  • alright for those who cant seem to understand HOW to do it. zoom in x8 then try and make a blank sqaure roughly the same size as his, then add the colours u want. then do the whole file>set as background centrerd (if it doesnt work you gotat right click on your desktop go propertise and says stretched. bam done.

  • I think teh trick was by putting simple blocks (very, very tiny) and setting it as your background (NOT tiled) It'll blend all teh colors.

  • @cinnabonne

those very very smal blocks are called pixel. At a Screen Resolution of 1280 x 1024, You normally have 1310720 pixels on the screen

  • Oh i know theyre pixels,i was referring to the paint brush shape..you know? eh. now im confusing myself XD

  • and how the hell to do it ?? :-S

  • sorry everybody! ill explain it properly for him! his trick is to make a background that has blending colors, understand?

you go into paint use your favorite colors make a "dot" of each color you choose. save.set as desktop background. then go to background apperance and strech your picture and there you go.

  • For me it will not work!

    How do you do it?

  • wth??

  • wtf???

  • ... What was the trick?

  • it looks like it is moving if you stop the vidat the right time

  • what the heck is the trick?

  • Comment removed

  • Awsome!!

  • woahh! sankyu!

  • good job ;D

  • I found that out randomly at a boring day at school. Gives great effects

  • go to TheHobosChannel

  • it works

  • you have to save your file as .jpg

  • This isn't a trick stupid

  • umm.......???

  • it doesn't work!!! there are 4 boring scuares in my wallpaper!!!

  • This is not trick on ms paint but on xp background!

  • very interesting...

  • neat trick! thanks!

  • Nice video, but you should've showed how to do it. For all you that don't know: open paint, magnify to 8x, make it as small as shown at the video (4x4 tiles), paint it with the pencil, go to File --> Set as background (Centered), press OK, save the picture and that's it!

  • hey i dont disagree wit u ir anythin but dont u Set as background "(stretched)"

  • I have these 2 options: Tiled and Centered. But, if you go to Properties on desktop and change it there then yes, you have to click streched

  • @SomeoneElse004 AWSOME!

  • @SomeoneElse004 lol, i tried that. it didnt work :P

  • @SomeoneElse004 thx =I but it didnt work.....

  • dont work :s can you help me

  • you have to save the drawing first

  • HOLY CRAP!!!

i tried that and when i moved the window everything was turning green!!!

  • could you guys include a little narration or some subtitles to explain what you are doing?

  • you do a picture choose file from the bar and you choose set as background (middle). it's not a trick

  • WOOOW!

  • guess what genious? it didnt work

  • actually it does i did it and it works

  • you have to use the pencil

  • I get it... The picture was sooooooooo small that when you set it up as desktop background, it was all flashy and blurry.

  • thats the point ^^

  • Photoshop CS4 Try that....

  • i dont understand what is this

  • hey wow it works! is there a way to save that stretched form of it? you can't do that kind of stuff on paint, could you help? plz?

  • do that selector thing and just pull it out from the corners :]

  • oh wait i've got it now!

i go straight to pictures and set it as wallpaper, then right click on the desktop itself and hit personalize, desktop background. and it should be there in the middle. then hit open with and chose which one you desire (i used paint) and save that

  • @jar0fdirt63 lol @ late reply.

you could always bring up task manager, end explorer.exe, printscreen button, windows+R (brings up run screen) and run explorer.exe, then paste into paint, and you'll have the full size version.

  • it doesnt work for me

  • o_0 How'd Yoo Do That? I Tried,But Everytime I Tried to Put it as a Background, It Kept Saying That I Had to Save Before I Set it as a Background,Which I Did.

  • CRTL+S is an automatic save xP Prob how they saved

  • Paint saved my live once =.= thnx to my stupid ex i lost photoshop and the only art i could do was by hand and paint, and it went great. its good for a last resort, but not for always.

  • What do you do???? the vid was tiny for me...

  • time waste!!

  • this thing is great!!!!!!!

  • thanKs!!!!

  • what if i don't have a crush?spam FAILURE

  • i know i have one too and there awesome i totally agree with u tormund but im already used to mine lol

  • hey i have a vista and its not lame geez lots of people have vistas and they work great satanreborn666

  • cool!

can you give me step by step directions, as in telling me what to do?

  • but my vista sucks...... why?

  • umm... wdf. o.o

  • cool

  • Sick.

  • I'm confused doing this.

  • if you use three pix by three and paint it black and put one dot of color in the middle it looks really cool!

  • ez to do, made a cool backround myself, w/ only like 20 pixles

  • Thats mad easy all u have to do is increase the size of that and set it as desktop background or sometimes it actually does it itself !Like u did!Though ya

  • uh is this suppose to be a background 4 ur computer. i don't get is.:( i really like it though. im not trying to be rude but i just don't get it. 4real

  • The point is, that if you make a very tiny picture in Paint your desktop-pic, it will be a gradient ;)

  • @-@ i don't get it how do you do it and flamingcupcake wich microsoft office program?

  • it's MS PAINT read the ffriggin title retard...

  • -.- you don't get my question and this is a while ago so it's a little lame to react now... :s

  • but... how did yah do it? o.o

  • Another reason I regret using Vista.
