Just search pet TickleMe Plant if you need supplies to grow your own indoors year round. The TickleMe Plant book showed me how to produce the pink flower in the middle of the winter!
I never thought that the mimosa plant would be sold commercially. They are really common here in the Philippines, you can find them everywhere!!! They even grow in my frontyard without being planted by anyone. They blossom year-round here, pink powdery flowers and thorns.
We call them, "makahiya" in Tagalog, which means shy. Fun to touch and wait for them to open again...so I can touch them again :)
I love the flower in your video. My kids and I got these at TickleMePlantcom the only place we could find That 100% Guaranteed the plant to become ticklish an offered us free experiments and cartoons etc.
Hey thanks for the link, I will check it out. I Didn't know about that site. Check out Dunecraftcom. It's for kids, but they have some great exotic seeds, that's where these sensitive plant seeds are from.

Hmmm... I want to say August or September? Right now it is growing new leaves and branches, but no flowers yet this year.

There is many of them here in my city (Cuiabá-MT-BRAZIL)...almost all fields that we have...we call it "dorme-dorme" like a "sleep-sleep" in English.

Wow, thanks for the response, that must be fascinating to see so many at once. Do the people in your city use the plants for anything?
