Appreciate the insight, loved the "lame excuse." True!!! Hate it when it happens as it can drag out a sale AND you don't know if it is going anywhere, how to follow it up,...ugh!
This has given me food for thought and reminds me how important it is qualifying the opportunity as you can really discover any potential concerns they may have before you present the solution. I know calling back afterwards they do become paranoid like you are trying to "sell to them".
