  • @THeOuTLaWDD Unfortunetly its extended mags. Im releasing a video soon explaining this but the grip doesnt do anything on the KSG 12 like I previously thought. I tested the grip and its affects on all shotguns and I will release the video soon.

  • for everybody who didnt know the range is opposite of silencer, so it takes away the range reducion

  • @split5snip3 Good idea. Spas kills in 3 pellets anyway. Could you test this and post a vid? From what I've seen, the silencer takes away more range than the RP adds.

  • KSG-12 with damage, MP9 with red dot (for range; though Stinger for aircraft is also a great idea), tac knife, stun nades and specialist package is the way to go for me. Great gun, not used too much, not noobish and looks killer. The only thing is multiple opponents are a pain with this gun unfortunately. That's why I personally think the TK is the better lethal equipment than nades, as for range you can always switch to the MP9. Just my 2c however.

  • @gohamabamaharu Because they fire 12 gauge shells. Not necessarily slugs, It could be Different grade bird or buck shot as All the shotguns in game fire a variation of buckshot not slugs.

  • @HugaHoodie95 damage always with silencer. Your range is decreased but damage is decreased as well with a silencer. Range prof gives you 1.25 times over standard. Damage gives you 1.4 times over standard. 1.4 trumps 1.25 all day when dealing with the loss of both.

  • Damage extendes the Spas-12's 3 pellet kill range, but so does the range proficiency. They both basically do the same thing now, except range will give you a longer minimum damage range. So damage is useless on the Spas-12

  • I don't understand, Spas-12 kill in 3 hits with DP and without, so it makes no difference? (only if they are hurt) or what?

  • @thamias619 Yes if they are hurt but also the biggest difference that DP will allow it to kill in 3 pellets at longer ranges. The spas 12 is known for high damage drop off which may have also been buffed. But either way DP will allow the spas 12 to kill in 3 pellets farther in its range making it kill in 1 shot more consistently throughout its range than without DP

  • @NSOLZAK no I think they are both effecient. I thing range should be used on the larger maps because it is effective. Damage should be used on the smaller maps to increase your chances of a 1 hit kill.

  • One thing to keep in mind when looking at those one shot kill potential rankings is that you pretty much don't need damage on the spas anymore because it kills in 3 pellet regardless. So, while it requires a higher % of pellets to hit, you can use any proficiency you want and it will still retain 3 pellet ohk, while the ksg requires that you have damage to be a 3 pellet ohk.

  • @omegaxtrigun This is true however If you shoot if more pellets leave the barrel your chances of more hitting the target are increased. Also, the spas 12 is notorious for damage drop off at range where the KSG 12 is not. Placing damage on the spas 12 helps keep it a 3 pellet kill at longer ranges.

  • ksg it is just absolute beast i use grip range on bigger maps grip damage on smaller ones. with short lines of sight

  • I still need to do more testing but The spas 12 appears to be capable of killing at close range in 3 pellets without damage prof. With damage proficiency it still seems to only be able to kill in 3 pellets but the range that it is able to do so seems longer aka higher potential to get 1 shot kill at longer ranges. The ksg 12 can only kill in 4 pellets at close range without DP. With DP the KSG 12 can kill in 3 pellets which is better because it shoots 9, not 8 like the spas 12.

  • @DayLikeAnother Both, Depends on the map. If its a smaller map with tight quarters Id run damage prof. but if its a larger map Id always run range. Because both are effective on the ksg 12

  • @DayLikeAnother Damage always...............When you add Damage, It seems like Range is automatically added for One shot kills...........Trust me.........I did this pre-patch

  • @JustMeYaSee It appears that way but It may have recieved a buff in certain ways as far as damage through out its specific ways but I cant comment for sure because Ive never personally seen the code files. Im just commenting on what the people that have seen the files have mentioned. Den Kirson forums have a lot of information on the PC version of MW3

  • @kaulthelegend I think the ksg 12 is better. The spas 12 may be better initially at close range before you unlock damage prof for both weapons but once DP is unlocked the KSG 12 is superior in my opinion in terms of damage.

  • @SHoTTYToWN Great review i have a question if you have damage equiped and you get specalist bonas get range aswell right? if so will that increase the effective range of the ksg meaning damage futher away and close up becuase you have range and damage if you get what im trying to say.

  • @stoppingpowerz actually yes I believe it does. I havent seen this confirmed by Infinity Ward but If you ever get the specalist bonas you will notice that your shots kill a lot more in just one hit at long range. You can see this in my model 1887 gameplay when I get the specialist bonus. Guys just drop in one shot at all ranges.

  • great guide dude. After the patch I've become addicted to the KSG-12, but I never thought to run Specialist with it like you do, and it seems that would be the most fun way to go with a shotgun so I'm gonna try that.

    I watched your other video showing the differences the patch made for the shotguns - are you absolutely sure the Spas-12 can kill in 3 pellets? It just doesn't seem very buffed when I use it. and how does the Model kill in 2??

  • A couple more things, as well as stating the damage at range, you should talk about the range of the gun. Some people may think a gun has AA12 range or MW2 Pre Patch 1887 range. It'd also be good to state that it's better to start with Damage, because the Spec Bonus gives Range. Finally, for the perks, I think unlocking SoH at 4 kills is a good idea, instead of from the start. Because, with Extended Mags, you will probably only want to reload after about 4 kills. Just stuff to consider :)

  • Great guide dude. But may I offer some constructive critisism? It would be better if you also included the damage percentage at far range, not just close range. Because the guns can take a considerable amount of extra pellets depending on the distance. Also, you said you didn't like Extended Mags because of the slow reload, which sounds kind of hypocritical. With extended mags, you won't need ot reload as often, so the slow reload time will get you killed less.
