You can change your thumbnail a bit I think, it's hard to explain but when you click on your video and go to settings, the part where you change who can comment on your videos or send you video responses, you can also change your thumbnail to two other screenshots from your video that YouTube picked out. I know it's not as good as being able to upload your own but it might be a little less awkward? Haha. :)
