I have the XD9 5inch tac and the XD45 ACP. Forget about those un safe glocks if you type it in you can see a black police officer take a glock 40 out of his holster and shoot himself in the foot. although funny as hell shows you how un forgiving the glock really is. If that had been an XD there would of been no way that gun could of discharged. I carry both guns on me everyday and I never have to worry about anything thanks to the grip safety and the two stage trigger. BUY THE XD'S!!!

Keep your booger hook off the bang switch until you're ready to fire and a Glock is just as safe as any other gun. If a grip safety or thumb safety is what you like or makes you more comfortable but when it comes to Glocks, XDs, Sigs, whatever it's the shooter that is safe or unsafe not the gun.

Well it looks like I dropped a few words there! What I was trying to say was if a grip safety or thumb safety makes you more comfortable then go for it but it's the shooter who is unsafe, not the gun......

My XD is great to fire. Used it for my CCW too. Glocks are not a safe firearm... Often lacking a Safety. Wish my wife liked to spray lead...

Who cares I about which is better, Glock, or XD, I mean Sig p250 is out now and the Berreta Px4 storm, all with polymer frames, its just personal preference, Xd has extra safety though, I have fired both guns, Glock and Springfield XD, and they are both great guns. :)

I've had my XD45 since the day I turned 21. I've put over 2000 rounds through it without a single problem. And I'm getting tired of all the Glock fan boys out there. Give it a rest already.

that XD 9mm compact....the XD.40 w/ stainless slide...and the tactical 5" XD .45 are next to be added to my gun collection.
