I liked this version better too... Although I did not really like the Japanese version much I think I liked the Taiwanese version because it was my personal first impression of HYD and F4. I mean I have not read the manga before watching the Taiwanese version. I still like JVKV but not as much anymore. I like Hyun Joong now.

I like all versions of Hana Yori Dango... I can't get sick of the basic plot line and the variation each version has taken on it makes me enjoy watching them all. However I was very surprised with the Korean version, I didn't expect it to be so good.. they really took advantage of the melodrama lol.. as they should since K-dramas are good at that compared to any other dramas I've ever watched XD.. but overall I equally enjoy the other versions including that OLD anime of HYD.

The japanese one is wayyyyy better in a lot of ways. Even though Makino isnt pretty i think that, that japanese version is much closer to the real story line. I hate the Taiwanese version. the F4 is so ugly.

Uhhmm... I also think the japanese version was better than the taiwanese ver. but i think The Jap's version of F4 didn't look any better! the only close-to-good looking f4 member there was soujiro.. and the rest were VERY ugly... the tai f4 is only half as ugly as the jap f4... Korean f4 rox!

Goo Hye Sun has acted according to the manga Makino so far. I mean, I read the manga, I can imagine her as Makino. I think some people need to realize that Korean adaptation is based on manga, not on Japanese live action.

Though I think Mao-tan is the best (no it's THE) Makino and I'm not really sure that Ku Hye-sun is fit for the role (I mean she doesn't really give off that 'weed power' and she looks old beside the fact that she IS the oldest than the rest of the F4), I think we really should try seeing it. i like the violin bg music. the only thing that bugs me is that you don't see gun jun pyo/domyouji's brash stupid lovable charm. the actor has got the whole cold jerk thing down so far, but the main thing about his character is that not only is he a jerk, but he's also really lovable. maybe it just didn't show in the preview, but it'll be really hard to have the same kind of charm in this series without that part of his character. the rest of the characters seem okay. let's see how it goes.

they actually following the manga.. it looks like they following taiwanese version because taiwanese version is also followed the manga..out of past 2 version..meteor garden is the one very close to manga..HYD really change theirs even though the manga came to japan.. 1 scene i remember in manga is the part when domyouji saw rui kissing makino..in MG..i saw that scene even here in korean..but in japanese they didn't..so practically they didn't much follow the manga..

Hmm...I'm not sure why you're unable to see the subtitles. They work for me, and I've tried testing it on other computers and different browsers (IE, Safari, and Firefox), and the subtitles show up fine. Perhaps the closed captions (CC) option is turned off? I had to manually turn on the CC option in order to see the subtitles when using IE, whereas in Safari/Firefox, CC option was automatically turned on. What browser do you use?
