imo, its a real creature, maybe not a pleiosaur though. when they scanned the lake using many boats some years ago, they couldnt find Nessie cuz the lake is very deep, and there's caves and overhanging rock everywhere at the bottom where the monster could live, and sonar bounces off those walls cuz its jagged. another reason they couldnt find Nessie might be cuz Nessie goes out of the lake, and comes back a certain time in the year for whatever reason. we'll have to wait a little longer.

yes it may all be a hoax, but it may not be. Even if hard evidence is found, there will always be a large group of people who wil claim it to be a hoax, because they are scared to to believe in something that isn't known, or can't be explained.
The fact is, some people love the mystery that is nessie, i hope shes real. even if shes not then its still a nice thought.

If it is real it is not a plesiosaur. For one if it was cold blooded loch ness is not the right temperature for it to survive. And if it is warm blooded the lake does not have a sufficient fish population for it to survive for long.

Never mind that the original photographs that started this whole Nessie craze were later admitted to be fakes, and never mind that no matter how deep the lake is to make it possible to hide that Nessie, even a small-size plesiosaur descendant, would have to consume the entire fish-life population per day just to survive. Dinosaurs don't swim. It's a common mistake to lump flying and swimming animals from that age with dinosaurs, but the term, "dinosaur," does not actually include them.

It's near (plesios) lizard (sauros). I don't get the idea though. Were you trying to show that they were dinosaurs? Look up Plesiosaur on wikipedia, the second paragraph specifically says they are not dinosaurs. Independent research will reveal why exactly (too few words allowed to go into it here). It's just a matter of nitpicking terminology though.

They were dinosaurs, Wiki (regretably) isn't always reliable, ever seen Food Battle 2007? I've read a bunch of books that all said they weren't fish, plus they had the types of names given to dinosaurs, so what else could they be? My thought is dinosaurs.
