What's up with Nat running to Frank? Like Frank can somehow erase the feelings she has for Olivia. Typical! The whole thing came together nicely though. No Frank in sight! The 3 of them sitting there laughing, eating ice cream together like a family was so cute!
@PtoRicanDBLT Remember the same situation happened with Helen Stewart on Bad Girls. She was engaged to Sean Parr, she kept telling him over and over that she wanted to "Marry" Him, and yet her feelings for Nikki got stronger and stronger and the she told him that she couldn't marry him. Although Sean was a Jerk, nobody should get their heart broken like that.
I like the comment that Doris says to Olivia after Olivia tells her how wonderful Nat is. About how she wishes a man would say those things about her the way Olivia said things about Nat.
I think the kiss really brought out their feelings for eachother. The way Olivia defends Nat and how Nat rushed to find Emma...No matter what anyone thinks...I would love to have the relationship they have. That feeling of belonging and warmth and safety. I envy them.

I love Otalia but I live in a town of around 50,000 people or so and it's a very narrow minded town.....ie practically a 95% yes on prop 8 vote maybe even higher.......people do stare....there weren't very many "out" people who were in my high school but yes even if you didn't talk about it all the time you knew who they were and you did stare, well not me but i'm the anomaly.........
Love love LOVE the scene at Towers and right before with Emma and Natalia. They do look like a loving family, now if only both Nat and Liv would get with the programme and give us something nice to look at, like a kiss ;-)

There's a new spoiler that Nat comforts Liv and promises to protect Emma. I'm still not sure about the trip - I'm hoping it doesn't happen, but don't want to believe it just yet. It's still in the planning phase, so I hope it never makes it to fruition. I'm afraid the HUGE thing that happens in Frank's fam though might push him to want to get away even more so it'll have to be Nat that puts a stop to it.
It is sad that Nat tells Emma that grown ups care too much about what other people think, but the next thing we see in the next episode while she is fighting with Liv she talks about how she cares so much about what people think.

Natalia sayng: "that was about family and she just tourning it into........." and then running away, running away meeting Frank, it sems to me that she doesn't want to deal with it, she doesn't want to talk with Olivia about all this situation, she is scared but in a way that makes me wonder if she feels something too for Olivia who is undeniably in love with her.
I think that Doris realizes just how "empty" her life is. To have to make other people's life miserable for her own satisfaction tells you that she doesn't have much of a life. I also think she does all of these things because she resents the fact that unlike Beth, Olivia doesn't depend on Alan for things. She should check herself, and spend more time with Ashlee Also, it must be pretty lonely for Doris to go home night after night to a lonely house.

I believe in muscle memory and there have been freaky cases where people have suddenly started to like say Pasta after a heart transplant when they previously hated it, only to find out that the donor loved pasta... I really hope thats not the angle GL go with for this storyline, it would completely take all credibility away and would demean lesbian relationships...
I don't think they'll go that route. With Rick's heart transplant from Richard, he had a bond with Richard's daughter but never any supernatural/sci-fi type plot. And there were several Liv/Nat fights prior to moving in together where they both made it clear that it's not about Gus anymore.
yes it could demean lesbian desire, depends how it's handled. i don't personally subscribe to the one-size-fits-all attitude that everyone is simply born gay (i'm lesbian). i never watched GL outside this so i can't say. they may not say it outright, or dwell on it too much, i.e. making it something supernatural, it might be just a subtle explanation for the attraction between to previously straight women... maybe making it more palatable for more conservative types.
I also wouldn't be opposed to Crystal joining another soap as a bisexual/lesbian character. She does strong, sexy, and vulnerable so well. Plus, what woman in the soap world wouldn't want to play opposite her? She's an amazing human being and actress. Maybe she can join GH since it's filmed in Cali and that's where her family is currently located. Who knows. Out of the entire GL cast, she is one of the few I see possibly joining another show. She's quite talented.
Oh my god thats perfect! She really would fit right into a gay drama like the L word or Queer As Folk!! She is mature and strutty, kinda like Jennifer Beals is, obviously they look and act differently, but i mean that mature older confidence thing.... It would be a shame if she didnt do anything after it because i rarely, infact im not sure if ive ever seen an American 'soap' actress who is natural, doesnt ham it up and who could be versatile...Crystal Chapelle is the first for me. refreshing

I was a diehard L word fan and I never felt this way about any of the actresses on that show as I do this women on GL. I loved every aspect of Otalia yesterday! The press conference was so in character for Doris. So many great lines during that confrontation. Loved it when she said it wasn't personal, at least not for her. Liv is so in love.. they have to go all the way with this story. Best line of the day: "I wish a man would talk about me the way you just talked about her".

First... CC is an amazing actress! So funny, but real, passionate, and vulnerable at the same time. 2nd... I have to reluctantly agree that the writers have done such a good job of building this relationship that I can imagine a version where they don't get together that is still true to life and love.
That said, I think the choices CC is making as an actress, and the director/editors choices in highlighting them, are pushing for at least Olivia to go further. Stumbling over "beautiful," the complex emotion on her face as she's asking Doris what she's looking at while
she's hearing herself declare Nat's goodness, the clearly flirtatious way she looks at Nat as she grabs Emma's ice cream...and that's just in this scene. I still have lots of hope for Otalia the power couple! Go for broke GL!
I agree. No matter what happens in regards to whether or not they admit their true feelings to on another, I hope they remain a family as they are. They both have found the family they both desired so they should just live/love/be. Attaching a lable to it will ruin it.

I think she (Doris) switched 'sides' after Liv's speech / declaration. Maybe, she wants to have and see if she can find a 'Liv' for herself. Heck, everybody wants to have a 'Liv' or 'Nat' in their lives. Anyway, she kept on saying she have lots of lesbian friends so she shouldn't have a problem in finding one. IMHO

I love Otalia but I live in a town of around 50,000 people or so and it's a very narrow minded town.....ie practically a 95% yes on prop 8 vote maybe even higher.......people do stare....there weren't very many "out" people who were in my high school but yes even if you didn't talk about it all the time you knew who they were and you did stare, well not me but i'm the anomaly.........

There's a new spoiler that Nat comforts Liv and promises to protect Emma. I'm still not sure about the trip - I'm hoping it doesn't happen, but don't want to believe it just yet. It's still in the planning phase, so I hope it never makes it to fruition. I'm afraid the HUGE thing that happens in Frank's fam though might push him to want to get away even more so it'll have to be Nat that puts a stop to it.

It is sad that Nat tells Emma that grown ups care too much about what other people think, but the next thing we see in the next episode while she is fighting with Liv she talks about how she cares so much about what people think.
Liv was incredible as well as Nat and Emma. They get better and hotter on screen everyday (Nat and Liv)

Olivia is so in love her. I think Nat is too. The way she runs out to see Frank. The way she talks about Nat to the Mayor is very moving and even the Mayor sees how she feels. I think Nat feels the same way. She is just to scared to do anything about it.

I think that Doris realizes just how "empty" her life is. To have to make other people's life miserable for her own satisfaction tells you that she doesn't have much of a life. I also think she does all of these things because she resents the fact that unlike Beth, Olivia doesn't depend on Alan for things. She should check herself, and spend more time with Ashlee Also, it must be pretty lonely for Doris to go home night after night to a lonely house.

I believe in muscle memory and there have been freaky cases where people have suddenly started to like say Pasta after a heart transplant when they previously hated it, only to find out that the donor loved pasta... I really hope thats not the angle GL go with for this storyline, it would completely take all credibility away and would demean lesbian relationships...

I don't think they'll go that route. With Rick's heart transplant from Richard, he had a bond with Richard's daughter but never any supernatural/sci-fi type plot. And there were several Liv/Nat fights prior to moving in together where they both made it clear that it's not about Gus anymore.

yes it could demean lesbian desire, depends how it's handled. i don't personally subscribe to the one-size-fits-all attitude that everyone is simply born gay (i'm lesbian). i never watched GL outside this so i can't say. they may not say it outright, or dwell on it too much, i.e. making it something supernatural, it might be just a subtle explanation for the attraction between to previously straight women... maybe making it more palatable for more conservative types.

I also wouldn't be opposed to Crystal joining another soap as a bisexual/lesbian character. She does strong, sexy, and vulnerable so well. Plus, what woman in the soap world wouldn't want to play opposite her? She's an amazing human being and actress. Maybe she can join GH since it's filmed in Cali and that's where her family is currently located. Who knows. Out of the entire GL cast, she is one of the few I see possibly joining another show. She's quite talented.

Oh my god thats perfect! She really would fit right into a gay drama like the L word or Queer As Folk!! She is mature and strutty, kinda like Jennifer Beals is, obviously they look and act differently, but i mean that mature older confidence thing.... It would be a shame if she didnt do anything after it because i rarely, infact im not sure if ive ever seen an American 'soap' actress who is natural, doesnt ham it up and who could be versatile...Crystal Chapelle is the first for me. refreshing

I was a diehard L word fan and I never felt this way about any of the actresses on that show as I do this women on GL. I swear if she was within a foot of me I would not be able to breathe let alone be able to lock eyes with those green eyes of hers.

I loved every aspect of Otalia yesterday! The press conference was so in character for Doris. So many great lines during that confrontation. Loved it when she said it wasn't personal, at least not for her. Liv is so in love.. they have to go all the way with this story. Best line of the day: "I wish a man would talk about me the way you just talked about her".
And I am so <3 CC/Olivia... she was so hot in those jeans, especially at the end when she got up from the table! I give it: <3 <3 <3 <3

She looked gorgeous in those jeans and jacket and i love how she got up and strutted over to those two women!
Its rare i am really drawn in by an actresses' ability but i think that Crystal Chappell is a really natural actress, far too good for this soap in fact! Its a shame she isnt doing more.

First... CC is an amazing actress! So funny, but real, passionate, and vulnerable at the same time. 2nd... I would love to see an Otalia romance, but the writers and actresses have done such a good job at building their friendship that if it stayed that way, I'd be okay with it. T.V doesn't show great female relationships like this, so I love the couple even with the subtext. Olivia's speech rocked, and I think I've fallen for a fictional character too. Olivia is so butch! This scene is amazing

I have to reluctantly agree that the writers have done such a good job of building this relationship that I can imagine a version where they don't get together that is still true to life and love.
That said, I think the choices CC is making as an actress, and the director/editors choices in highlighting them, are pushing for at least Olivia to go further. Stumbling over "beautiful," the complex emotion on her face as she's asking Doris what she's looking at while

I agree. No matter what happens in regards to whether or not they admit their true feelings to on another, I hope they remain a family as they are. They both have found the family they both desired so they should just live/love/be. Attaching a lable to it will ruin it.
