  • Adopt a plant-based diet Atkimanchristmas. If you want to find out why, do some research- one of the top two contributors to climate change - meat and dairy industry

  • One more thing, before you go out and believe whatever you hear on the news, you should read or do some research on this. You ignore the past hundreds of thousands of years which the Earth cooled and heated, WITHOUT MAN. Its a cycle, just like all of life. The government calls it a crisis, and show some pictures of Alaska IN THE SUMMERTIME, and you go and freak out and think Al Gore (a politician with NO SCIENTIFIC degrees in anything) actually knows what he is talking about. Hes a fool.

  • An average burger man (that is, not the outsize variety) emits the equivalent of 1.5 tonnes more CO2 every year than the standard vegan. By comparison, were you to trade in your conventional gas-guzzler for a state of the art Prius hybrid, your CO2 savings would amount to little more than one tonne per year."

  • hahahahahahaha, man oh man. Besides the fact that CO2 isn't harmful whatsoever to the Earth, and actually when there is more CO2, more species thrive. And besides the fact that the Sun regulates temperature and man has 0 to no impact on it, here is the kicker. Man emits about... 3% of CO2. Volcanoes, oceans, and all animals emit the most. So if you are so into "capping carbon" like an idiot, go put a cap on a volcano and empty the ocean out.

  • "Researchers at the University of Chicago have calculated the relative carbon intensity of a standard vegan diet in comparison to a US-style carnivorous diet, all the way through from production to processing to distribution to cooking and consumption. An average burger man (that is, not the outsize variety) cont'd

  • "Researchers at the National Institute of Livestock and Grassland Science in Japan have carried out a life-cycle analysis of beef production which shows that 'a kilogram of beef leads to the emission of greenhouse gases with a warming potential equivalent of 36.4 kilograms of CO2' (New Scientist, 21.7.07). To help you get your head around this, that's equivalent to the amount of CO2 emitted by the average car over a distance of 250 kilometres."

    12pm - 1pm

    Rep. Buchanan's SRQ office

    235 N. Orange Ave.

    Sarasota

Congress is in recess in August, and all across the country, Americans are letting their Reps know what's on their minds.

Thousands of voters have called, written letters, and filled out postcards to tell Rep. Buchanan that we can stop global warming & solve our energy crisis by moving quickly toward clean energy.

We need your help to deliver hundreds of these messages to Rep. Buchanan's office.

  • HAHA. Let's have a bake sale to save the earth! With all the evidence disproving man-made global warming these folks still muddle along. Reminds me of the joggers following Forest Gump.

  • Hooray! I made the polar bear hat! This looks wonderful- thank you Greenpeace!
