That's tough pot you see. It was on the full length of the table and it was almost straight forward. Also he wasn't able to put his hand on the table. He needed to put his hand on the cushion. It is a terrific shot. But I admit that there are better shots in this vid. ;D
I disagree, that was a very difficult long pot. I reckon if you set that one and Hendry's cushion shot up, you'd get a higher percentage of Stephen's than you would Matthew's. There are many pro's who would refuse it in favour of a safety because there's a very good chance you'd leave it on should you miss it also.
yeah thats a very long long pot, the further you are away from the object ball, the more accurate you have to be. having your hand on the cushion means your cueing down slightly and makes it harder to line up cueball and object ball when your down on the shot.

I know the game very well, I watch plenty of tournaments on tv and I see shoots like that much more often than the shoots in the rest of the vid.
