Considering my sources were all SM players and i dont have a rulebook yet (meep!) That would explain the disconnect here. So yeah much better to get mandis. Thanks much! :)
Need to clarify please: an autarch w/ mask and power weapon gets init 10 on first assault, 1 on subsequent rounds in combat yes? Codex takes precedent over rulebook correct? So the mask will override the restriction on power weapon only for first turn of CC per each instance of CC whether initiated by me or opponent... right?
@TheRuggernator Hi there, you are right about being initiative 10 in the first round of assault but I have absolutely no idea where you are getting the init 1 from. Power weapons do not strike at init 1, they strike at your normal initiative. Maybe you are thinking of powerfists, which indeed strike at init 1 because of their special rules (they double your strength and count as a power weapon too).
@BeTheBe5t Just read the rulebook my friend :). Stones on vehicles have the same effect as Extra Armor, Stones on a Farseer allows you to use one more psychic power.
luck. dont get me wrong your army rules but it will help. why dont you give your grey knight terminater paladins a banner thanks for the reply im your biggest fan do you know way of saim hann if you do can you tell him to make a new grey knight battle report and can you do one to thanks please reply
Hi, i am just starting an eldar army and i was thinking of themeing it on jetbikes and some troops in transports (with a few extras) but i want to know what you think i should start with and whether i should have an autarch or farseer. Also how did you make the seer council on jetbikes.
@A4Express Hi, there are some great guides to jetbike Eldar armies at 40konline. In short, get some regular bikers (12-18), some Fire Prisms or Nightspinners, throw in other stuff you like in transports and mix and match how you like! I've got a vid showing my jetbike council at "watch?v=nP8foaPiU4c". Good luck with your own army!
@EldarCorsair Thank you, and i had a look at your other tourny army (with the seer council bikers and the 3 squads of 6 bikers) and that is probably the sort of thing i want to do but have 2 squads and the seer council on bikes. Anyway thanks!
@freakehh Because in melee your opponent will sometimes cause enough wounds that you will be forced to allocate onto the Embolden warlock and if you have only one, when he dies, your Embolden is gone. I find Embolded crucial on the Seer Council so I want to make sure I have it as long as possible even after I start taking casualties!
@viktorhat Yes, specifically you can cast any power the doesn't require line of sight onto anything outside the vehicle in range. When you do so you measure from the hull of the vehicle. Mind War requires line of sight but something like Doom or Fortune does not!
@EldarCorsair I'm building a seer council on jetbikes. Is it worth taking the full squad of ten (I can fit it in 2000 points) or should I shoot for a smaller units, as all in all it comes to 725 points for seer with fortune, guide, witnessing, warding, stones, bike and 10 warlocks, bikes, 8 destructors, enhance and embolden.
@HarrytheHammer28 10 Warlocks can work, just keep in mind it puts even more eggs in one basket, if things go badly for a 10-strong council you will struggle to fight back...I think you should build 10 anyways because then you could run two smaller councils, one big one, or a medium council + extra warlocks on bikes for basic jetbike units.
I would recommend a minimum of 2x Enhance, 2x Embolden in your larger squad, you do not want to be left without either power if you get unlucky and one dies.
I did like the video. Good overview of the make up of a tournament list on a unit by unit basis.
