With the amount of money used to bail out these banks, the government should have forced these banks to forgive every bit of debt incurred by private individuals in this country. Instead, they get bailed out and they get to keep private debt hanging over the head of the average citizen.

When the corporations own all the housing they will become slum lords. Soon they will own all the roads; it will cost tolls to drive on most roads. Bill Gates now owns a private army formally Black Water USA, he owns a seed bank deep in a mountain where he is collecting every seed on earth and he bought Monsanto GMO's. Charlie. I live in Antigua and I'm stunned at the synchronicity in both words and actions undertaken by the government which can be compared, literally...word-for-word with leaders around the world such as Greece, the USA, Britain, European Union reps, etc. Prices for food here are between 3 to 7 times more than what you are paying in the US. Importing a car into Antigua? The duty and charges triples the cost over 100 percent. Think we should all print T-shirts that says "IMF'd"

Much talk about "fighting", "not letting them win", "not allowing." These statements are mainly from posts. Question: Through which mechanisms do we do these things? US citizens have lost all power secondary to a false representative demoCRAZY. Take to the streets? That is only a catharsis and will help fuel martial law. Understanding realistic options is only the beginning, we haven't even begun yet. YouTube "awakening" videos has probably overtaken politics in rhetoric.

Everyone knows America will NEVER PAY OFF one single dollar of it's massive national debt. Therefore I have no sympathy at all for anyone dumb enough to loan the US Federal Government money because they're guaranteed to lose all of it. At best, our Congress & President are totally INCOMPETENT, at worst, they're OUTRIGHT CRIMINALS. The longer this mess goes on, the WORSE it gets. We need to DEFAULT NOW so we can start over with REAL MONEY that can't be printed & a REAL ECONOMY with good jobs.

we are heading in the same direction as Greece for many of the same reasons like Greece the US is spending more than it is taking in! the fact is Greece doesn't have a hole lot of choices, they can ether cut spending i.e. austerity plan or raise taxes and put an even greater burden on the privet sector and risk even higher unemployment or they can go bankrupt and pay nobody.

This is the beginning of where the corporations start to rule everything. They may have had a major influence on the govt in recent years, but on largest companies are going to control access to any and every thing. The debt does not matter to them. Debt is just the tool they use because it "means" so much to us on the lower end.

Not paying the con job or Ponzi scheme called debt to the bankster would be a good way to start. Even that will be much easier in the end for Greece then to just further themselves into it. Reinstitute their own monetary system.
Some companys to big to fail? Some banks too? I think not. A country stays strong by competition, not by bailing out losers, con artist, tyrants or beggars. Its really that simple.
Contracts are NOT valid if done in deceit. I'd feel no shame at all!
