In AVP 3, I wish they would have retained the original sound effects for the plasma cannon and the lock-on sight. Also, the way the predator initiated the plasma cannon with the dialing of the buttons. Was the coolest thing ever!

@DDRGURU56 right, the sound is way better than in newer installments, and I wish they have used some body damage system, so as when I shoot an alien, he's just got a new little hole in his body, and streams of acid (not f*ing green blobs, eh) are jetting out of it, that was so cool in avp1999 and you had to allways remember of this alien defense strategy ; and those humans sounds and screams, you could feel that they are really scared, not like that f*ing 'god god god, jesus, god god god'

This game is no doubt the scariest game ever made. Other newer games have tried to top this, but ive played em all, DOOM 3, RE, Quake, Dead Space, Bioshock etc, and this one scares the shit outta me more than all those combined, ESPECIALLY on marine! this game is fear PERFECTED. They got everything right. The lighting, sound, combat, environment. I'm praying for a 3rd avp.

My old Carnivores game was great on my old PC back in 06 or 07 (around 4 years ago) but on this PC (which plays the Crysis demo on low with no lag whatsoever and can handle high with some lag) I can't even stand the lag when I play it! D=

Hopefully it won't be the same with this game.

Hope sierra releases (or whoever gets the rights to do so) the 3rd in the series of games. Imagine AvP in Crysis like graphics. AvP2 was bad!!! AvP pwns in all categories! Predator imo is one of the best characters ever to be conceived (in both design and gear/effects) hope they give us a great AvP3 game soon!

This one was based around the movies whereas the second one took more from the comics.

IMO this one had a much scarier atmosphere, and more authentic class balance than the second. The aliens were fast and the preds were tough as old boots with the humans being inbetween. In the second game the preds are not much tougher than a human and the alien is much slower but has a pounce ability that lets everyone know your coming if you want to move quickly.

Both very good games though.

This game is f*****g difficult!...but that doesn't mean that i didn't finished it at the highest difficultlevel whith all 3 races. *g* damn this was fun! especialy with the alien in the multiplayermode.AvP2 sucks,i hate the comic-like graphics and that you even can't drestroy the lights...

yeah you're right man... This game has a special place in my heart as one of the scariest games I ever played. I think I lost 1 year of life due to a shock I had, when I first encountered a face hugger here - it makes such scary noise you start to sweat and then suddenly a jump and you have a giant spider all over the monitor... it took nearly a weak till i plyed it again that time
