I like the RMAH. I always had way to much crap in diablo 3. Last ladder I was on I have two mules full of high runes and did not know what to do with them. Blizzard made it pretty clear that there are *no* binding items in the game and that they won't be selling items in the auction house. The economy in the game is completely player driven and that is one KEY point most people are missing.

I been hearing a lot of comments about the AH system in D3. Personally I think Boogie hit home. Basically its an interesting take on the game but I don't think its going to be game breaking because its not even fucking out yet. Diablo 3 is a disgusting excuse to make money without actually putting anything worthwhile on the table. Quick summary: Worldstone was destroyed, evil is leaking into the world. Diablo 3 has got to be the most grimdark version of all diablo but what do we have isntead ? We have a goddamn disney movie trying to scare you with BoooOOoooOOoo sounds !!! I like the RMAH. I always had way to much crap in diablo 3. Last ladder I was on I have two mules full of high runes and did not know what to do with them. Several near perfect top end rune words more torches I could count. Oh, great video ;) I also hear blizzard is doing geo blocking for regions. So no Chinese in north america unless you vpn it and then it will cost them huge.

i like your optimism. however, you cannot determine that "if you dont wanna shell out for extras then dont play" because it insinuates that this sort of money laundering is okay, and that people should continue to pander to the whims of gaming companies' cash incentivised interests. You say yourself that games used to have unlockable content obtainable through progress in the game, surely you must advocate then that companies should revert back to this more game centric form of player reward?

Sure, it gives people more incentive to hack accounts, but the thing is, they no longer have to go to shady websites that contain keyloggers and whatnot, meaning it shuts down the main ways to find out people's login information.

in diablo 3 the RMAH comes with a few setlist items being able to set onto the RMAH without charge, making it the exact god damn same as the gold AH u sell items for $ (with the free listings per week) and i buy items with the balance you have on your battle net account which you made for free selling items ... so quick your guys complaining, its still free.

i agree, the RMAH will increase the phishing and hacking, i havent played WoW in months and those gooks send me fake blizz e-mails everyday. i e-mailed blizz about this and no reply obvioulsy. battle-net will need to step up their efforts in account security 10 fold. they will not be just protecting your game account, now they will be protecting your mini bank account too

Blizzard made it pretty clear that there are *no* binding items in the game and that they won't be selling items in the auction house. The economy in the game is completely player driven and that is one KEY point most people are missing.

Don’t have time to level up in Diablo III? No Problem! With the new “Experience Points” trade feature, you can go from zero to hero as fast as you can enter your credit card number. This system allows players to farm and store the experience points they would have received from killing monsters into orbs instead. These orbs can then be auctioned off at the RMAH. Third party sites like JSP are selling power leveling anyways, so why not let Blizzard make these transactions “safer”?

Oh, yeah. How about another plausible idea? Incorporate the Soulbound system to an extent in Diablo III. You shouldn't be able to just hand over god-like weapons and armor to your alts or friends.
Soulbound requirements for some of the best gear (not for the vast majority of gear, to clarify) in the game would kick the shit out of farmers, and Blizzard's claim that the RMAH is going to cut back on third-party transactions would be completely moot.

Another question. They're separating Hardcore from regular realms. You won't be able to use a real-money AH in Hardcore, since one doesn't exist.
Why don't they ADDRESS the fans' outrage by incorporating that into REGULAR realms? SEPARATE realms that use both the RMAH and the gold AH from realms that only use gold auction houses. Why not? They're doing it with Hardcore.
From the amount of fans outraged by this, it seems like a plausible idea. Why aren't they doing it? Why?

I been hearing a lot of comments about the AH system in D3. Personally I think Boogie hit home. Basically its an interesting take on the game but I don't think its going to be game breaking because its not even fucking out yet. I also agree that it might increase the chance of gold farmers but bringing up a point that Boogie made, if you don't like the game or the changes then stop bitching and don't play it. Not like Blizz or anyone else is going to take pointless rants into moderation.

I'm sure that with enough negative feedback, it can work here, too. Blizzard is already "defending" their case, which at least verifies that they've been reading the forums. Their defense statement, fortunately, has elicited even more outcry.

@Ecos17 I'm personally passionate about Diablo. Am I supposed to submit to corporate decisions with an obviously adverse affect to many players, stop "bitching," and stop caring? Who wants to walk around, seeing tons of people in gear they purchased via real-life money? It happened in Diablo 2, but NOTHING to the extent that it'll happen in Diablo 3. Did every other person spend money in Diablo 2 for equipment? No. They were often looked down upon for doing so, as well.
